DARCY
I wake just as the sky is turning silver with the coming dawn.
I’m cradled in Linc’s arms, his bare chest pressed against my back, one leg twined with mine.

I vaguely remember him washing my hair in the shower last night.

Linc opens his eyes and kisses me again, letting his lips linger. “I was terrified of losing you before I could tell you what you mean to me. I love you, Darcy. You belong with me and Gracie. If you’ll let us, we’ll be your family.”
My eyes begin to burn but I force the tears back. I’ve done enough crying. “I love you too, Linc. You and Gracie are everything to me. I was afraid to tell you, afraid I’d have to leave again.”
He shakes his head. “Never. Stay with us. Forever.”
The tears slip free anyway. Ignoring them, I nod. “Forever.”
He kisses each tear, then my lips, and down the column of my neck. Soon his hands are on me, stroking over my skin and between my thighs. “I need you,” he murmurs against my mouth.
