Chapter 13

By the time I get out of the shower, the guys have cleaned themselves up, changed the bedding, and are dressed in jeans and t-shirts. Dalton is currently lacing up his work boots while Tray has on a pair of sneakers.

“I guess that means play time is over.” I say, pushing out my bottom lip in a pout, wearing only the towel.

“For now.” Dalton says, giving me a kiss on the forehead. “Lay down and take a nap. We will be back in a couple hours. Gunner sent a message that Sahara’s keys are under the driver’s seat, so we are going to drop her car off to them.”

“We’ll grab some groceries before we head back. Love you, baby girl.” Dalton gives me another quick kiss on the forehead. When Dalton is out of the way, Tray steps forward, grabbing my hips and pulling me forward for a real kiss, gently biting my bottom lip before releasing me.

I lay down on the bed, scrolling on my phone for a while.

Since I am not actually tired, I get up, put clothes on, and head to the kitchen.

I tidy up then make myself a large cup of iced coffee.

I hear my phone ding with a message as I am getting ready to sit down on the loveseat.

Mary, one of my clients, is needing more of the special blend of tea for women that I make.

The tea blend includes herbs like black cohosh, Valerian root, wild yam, red clover, St. John’s wort, Ginseng, and evening primrose to help with menopause symptoms, mood changes, low energy, anxiety, and more.

(The other ingredients are not going to be shared since I can’t give away all my secrets in a book.)

I check the supplies in my office, make a quick list of herbs I am low on, then head back to the loveseat.

I get on my laptop, head to my suppliers’ websites, and place my orders.

I send Mary a quick message that I have enough of the tea blend for half an order, if she wants to pick it up, and I will have more sometime next week.

Mary is pushing 70 years old, and she tends to faint if she is startled, so I warn her that I have some people living with me now and not to freak out if a guy answers the door.

Mary responds to my message saying that she will take the half order and will stop by later today to get it. I confirm that it will be ready, then I go to my office and actually mix the ingredients, putting it in little tea bags for her.

I know that if I don’t do it right then, I will get busy doing something else and forget. I only have a few local customers, and I hate making them wait for their products.

Once I am done with the tea, I finally get to sit down, enjoy my coffee, and work on the laptop until I hear the guys returning. I quickly save my work and put the laptop away.
