Chapter Eight #3

It was ridiculous how badly she reacted.

Every nerve ending came alive and was wholly aware of Keys.

Centered on him. Her lungs burned for air.

She didn’t understand why, but her reaction terrified her.

Along with everything else she was feeling for him, she didn’t want to be physically attracted.

That was the surest way to the end of their friendship. She would have nothing. No one.

His eyes burned over her. That amber that glittered like gold.

There was something she couldn’t read there, but it both terrified her and sent waves of heat crashing through her veins.

In her life, she’d never felt the intense pull of sexual hunger.

She had always thought she wasn’t in the least sexual, but at that moment, her world tilted, turned, and she was burning hot.

“I—I need to think, Keys,” she actually stuttered, one hand going to his chest as if that could stop the coming storm.

Around her, the edges of the room were darkening. She felt the rolling thunder in her chest, her heart pounding. She tasted him in her mouth as if the essence of him was already leaking into her body through her pores.

“I think that’s the last thing you need, Wildfire.” His voice had gone gravelly. Rough. “No thinking, just feel for me. You’ve got fire in you, baby, and it belongs to me.”

He had her hair in a tight fist at the back of her scalp, and he yanked her head back and took her mouth. Lyric had heard that a kiss could make the earth move, and she’d always scoffed at such nonsense, but it did. It actually moved.

Fire exploded through her. Hot flames poured down her throat and spread through her body to every cell. The world tilted. Spun. She had no idea how to kiss him back, matching his passion, but she did. She followed wherever he led her. And he led her to somewhere between heaven and hell.

The earth moved because he didn’t stop. He didn’t let her up for air, he just kept kissing her, and the flames began to crackle and snap and glow.

She glowed. She felt herself moving. Fast. But she could only hang on to Keys’ broad shoulders, digging her fingers in for an anchor while the earth dropped away.

For one moment in the wild chaos of a hunger that was so stark and raw, she was aware she was on the bed. She didn’t have time for panic because his mouth was taking hers again, robbing her of oxygen. She had to depend on him to breathe.

She had no idea where her clothes had gone. She really didn’t. It was as if he’d wished them away. It wasn’t like he was gentle; he wasn’t. His hands were rough on her skin, shaping her body, claiming her in a fiery baptism of sheer feeling.

Lyric did what she always did when she was close to Keys.

She focused completely on him. He became her center.

She felt every sharp inhale, the pleasure coursing through him, the rising hunger as if it couldn’t get any more intense, but it did.

His face was a carnal mask carved deep with lust and something else she was afraid to find a name for.

The flames just kept getting hotter. His mouth went to her right breast and his hand to her left. She hadn’t known there was a fiery line between her nipples and her clit, but her body lit up in a dazzling display of fireworks.

There was no way to pull air into her burning lungs. She could only go along for the ride, feeling everything he did to her body, the building need between her legs, the terrible pressure, like a hot fist in her stomach.

He kissed his way down her stomach, pulling her thighs apart.

She didn’t think to resist him. There was nothing but Keys in her mind, Keys and the incredible, terrifying sensations he produced in her body.

She’d never felt so alive, but it was like being on a wild ride she couldn’t get off of. She didn’t want to get off.

Then his mouth was there, driving her past all sanity.

She caught at his shoulders, digging her fingers deep, needing to find an anchor, when all around and through her a violent storm was breaking.

He used his tongue, his teeth, his fingers, and her lungs burned for air.

Her body was no longer her own, and she didn’t think it would ever be again.

Without warning, waves crashed over her.

Shook her. Receded and started again. His mouth was relentless, and she pushed at him as the edges around her darkened even more.

The pressure built again, stronger than before.

She tried to tell him it was too much, but her gasp of protest was met with him tightening one hand on her thigh and one hand on her belly as his mouth pulled at her, lapped at her, ate her until those waves were hurtling through her at warp speed, taking every part of her with them.

Keys wasn’t nearly finished. He wiped his face on her thighs, came to his knees and slid on a condom. Those waves were still crashing through her, so she was barely aware as he lodged the crown of his cock in her slick entrance.

“Not going to wait, babe. Waited too long for you. Swear to you I’ll go gentle another time.”

She didn’t know what he meant. She didn’t care.

He seemed to know what he was doing when she didn’t, and whatever he was doing worked in a big way for her.

Then he surged into her, and she realized exactly what he meant.

He was too big, stretching her beyond her capacity to take him.

He buried himself deep, paused for one moment, his amber eyes glittering with that mixture of absolute carnal lust and something she couldn’t identify.

“You good?”

She didn’t know if she was. She burned. She could feel his heartbeat right through her channel, that was how tight she surrounded him.

“You’re good, baby.” His voice was rougher than she’d ever heard it. Somehow that added to the insane fire burning so fiercely.

Then he moved. Not gentle at all. Rougher than his voice.

A carnal machine that plunged into her over and over.

Every hard surge jolted her body but sent those streaks of fire racing through her.

She couldn’t breathe. Couldn’t think. There was only Keys and his body, and the insanity of what they had become together.

Her entire being, everything she was, centered on him. The way his cock pushed through her tight walls, stroke after wild stroke, sent her spinning into another realm. Lights. Colors. Stars. The universe shot galaxies at her.
