3. Chapter Three #2
Scathing jowls, frightful eyes, razor sharp teeth that ripped through flesh. “Absolutely terrifying.” While my wounds were healed, the emotional scars would forever remain. “They had matching marks on them. Like, a weird wiggly worm almost like a…”
“Leech,” Ionus answered for me.
“Yes.”
“Daigle’s been hard at work,” Quint added.
“What’s a Daigle?”
The brother’s groaned, but it was Mattias who answered. “A thorn, or in this case, a leech in our side. He’s the weaver, the one who commands his beloved blood suckers and those he adorns them with are under his spell and do his bidding no matter how heinous.”
“They’ve sent a few to infiltrate Dragon City, but we’ve managed to divert and rehabilitate them,” Ionus said, without going into detail. I understood, less was best right now. The more information I had of the brothers’ plight, the greater chance I had of being kidnapped.
Again.
“Caro, Mattias, when Caspian is healed we need to reach his herd.” Guess I was going on an adventure soon. With my mate and another protector by my side, it would be better. I hoped…
“I’ll join them,” Kes stepped up. “As an Ice Dragon, I can swim to great depths.”
“Good to know,” Ionus replied. “As great a swimmer as I am, I can’t reach the depths the three of you can. Caro, can you reach out to clan Tempest?”
“Aye. Mattias, Caspian may find our horde to be of interest along with the pools.”
“Yes, brother,” Mattias said, “Agreed.”
Is he really going to share his horde with me? I thought those were private?
Aye, they are, but Caro’s is special and may prove valuable to you.Can I play with the babies now?I was done thinking.
“Come on,” Kes said, “I’ll take you to the noisiest room in the house.” Mattias stayed behind with Ionus and Quint, Caro left, I’m guessing to reach out to the Tempests he’d mentioned. “Welcome to the Club Denarius playroom.”
“Unca Kes!” was shouted out by four dragonets. There were three others, one wobbling and trying to walk and two babies currently being nursed by Ronan. Kes picked up the only walking girl and swung her around. “Princess Luna, I missed you.”
“Silly Kes,” she kissed his nose. “Saw you yesterday.”
“You did, but that was so long ago.”
“Who is this?” a stocky boy, the mirror image of Ionus said. Arms crossed and face set just like his father’s, there was no mistaking that lineage. This was a young protector in the making.
“This is Uncle Mattias’ and my mate, Caspian. Caspian this young bodyguard is Griffin, the princess is Luna, and those other two, hopefully not setting anything on fire are Kane and Hunter. They belong to Ionus and Alex. Can you guys say hi to Uncle Caspian?”
“Hi uncle Cas!” rang out as Kes sat Luna back down.
“And this little one,” he scooped up the toddling toddler, “is Cade. He’s Caro and Emersons’ son. Cade, can you say hi to Uncle Caspian?”
“Hi,” he waved a slobbery hand at me, an exact replica, minus the glasses, of Emerson.
“And as you can see, the two princesses in waiting being nursed by their Daddy are Ruby and Opal. Odem and Ronan’s twins.”
“I’ve died and gone to baby heaven. As a Seadragon, the males give birth and have the natural paternal instincts, and mine have been screaming like mad.”
“Baby fever,” Ronan winked. “I never had it until our girls hatched, then I was sold. They are the loves of our lives and Odem is a wonderful father, just don’t tell him I ever admitted that.”
“I heard you!” Odem called out.
“Dang dragon ears,” Ronan huffed. “I’ll never hear the end of it.”
“Nope!” Odem hollered.
“You must be Raven,” I said to the woman on the couch with an ethereal glow surrounding her.
She rose. “I am. It’s wonderful to officially meet you, Caspian.” When her hand touched mine, the energetic surge surprised me. I felt her scan my mind and body. Raven was a powerful priestess. “Your wounds have healed well.”
“Thanks be to you, I’m certain.”
“Maybe a bit,” she smiled, “but more likely due to your dragon blood. I’ll leave you to play with the babies. They soothe the soul and give us hope for a peaceful future.”
“Bye Wayven,” Luna ran and hugged her.
“Goodbye, my special girl.” Hmm, I wonder what that meant. Maybe just that Luna was the only girl? No, that can’t be. Odem and Ronan have two girls.
I dropped to the floor and was immediately swarmed by a band of giggling dragonets. We rolled around and played horsey while they rode on my back until their Daddies declared it naptime. After that, I decided I could use a quick one too. Didn’t want to be too tired tonight for my mates.
“Come on,” Mattias extended a hand to help me up. “We’ll head back through the tunnels.” In the garage he pointed out which door led to each house, but the one we headed toward wasn’t one of them. “This leads to the natural spring pools.”
A swim sounded wonderfully relaxing.
We walked through a series of tunnels, the closer we got to the water the more I felt it. Water called to me, like a silent song. It flowed through my veins and gave me life. This would surely heal what was left of my wounds.
“Your gills are amazing,” Kes said. Guess it was my turn to blush.
As soon as we reached the cave I stripped and dove in, shifting upon impact. “That is you. You are him,” Kes stuttered. “It’s you.”
I told you so. Now, are you two going to join me, or what?
Shamelessly, I watched as my mates undressed. The second they neared, I brazenly rubbed against them. They hadn’t shifted and what I craved most required me to be in human form as well but my Seadragon still took it upon himself to mark them.
Mates, need you. Please. I ached with a need like no other to complete the bond. Not to mention the overwhelming desire to bring new dragonets into this wonderful family I was now a part of.
Bonding as a trio, was there anything more beautiful?
Having been on the verge of heat when I arrived, now, being happily trapped between these two triggered it full on and it appeared, Kes’s too. I loved the fact we naturally produced a form of lube, and that our bodies were made for this.
“Caspian, Kes,” Mattias growled. “I can smell you both,” he nipped my neck as I shamelessly ground against him, the same as Kes was doing to me. “Kes, get behind me. I must be connected to both of you to complete the bonding.”
I hadn’t thought of that. Bonding in our community weren’t as intense as it was with a protector.
I guess. Probably should’ve asked ahead of time so I didn’t mess up anything, but hormones and all that.
I’ll learn as it happens because I’m not stopping to ask.
Who was I kidding, I’m not stopping this for anything.
“What-what do you want me to do?” Our poor, nervous mate, Kes, was frightened.
“Kes,” Mattias turned and took him in his arms. “If you’re not ready…”
“No-no, I want this. I just um, I don’t know what to do.” Mattias kissed him, settling his nerves a bit. Getting used to feeling another’s emotions through our bond was both thrilling and scary. I could only imagine how much stronger it will become after tonight.
Kes, when I turn you need to enter me, Mattias said to him. Don’t be afraid, you won’t hurt me.
I waited and watched. This was so exciting. I’d dreamed all my life of finding my mates. For some reason, I knew I’d have two. Quite possibly the Goddess knew I’d be too much for just one. I swam up to Kes and kissed him as deeply as I could.
You’ve got this mate.
Help me.
Mattias leaned forward. I took Kes’ hand in mine and trailed them along Mattias’ spine and down his crack. The second our fingertips grazed his hole, he moaned.
See, he likes it, I said to Kes then kissed him again, drawing his thoughts away from what he was doing. If this didn’t bring him back around, nothing would.
Mates, it’s time. Kes, please, enter me.
We’d both been behind Mattias and it wasn’t until I took my place in front of him that I noticed his heart was glowing.
Mattias?
The bonding ritual has begun. We must be connected to continue. There will be time for love making and exploring one another later, I promise you both that.
Mattias flipped me around, and the moment Kes entered him, his arms tightened around me. Ready, mate?
I have been since the moment I woke in your bed.
There was no resistance, my body was made for this. Every inch of me was. Within a few thrusts, the three of us moved in sync. Kes thrust forward, triggering Mattias to do the same. Mattias pulled back, so did Kes.
I’m going to seal the bond, Caspian.
I tilted my head to the side, baring my shoulder.
Bite me, Mattias. Mark me as yours. Mattias bit into me and I howled, the water muffling the sound but only just. The heat of his blood thrummed through my veins and the moment it reached my heart, mine lit up as his was, the endorphins triggered my release.
The second Mattias came, his growl echoed through the cave and sent Kes over the edge with him. Mattias knot held us in place, his arms wrapped around me, and I felt Kes’s hands as well. If we were in bed right now, I’d have drifted off. But we still had one mate to complete the ritual with.
Kes, are you ready? Mattias asked him as his knot went down enough he could slide out of me.
Yes, mate.
Mattias pressed his lips to my mate mark before he turned toward Kes.
I promise mate, this won’t hurt. Our poor mate, he was more sensitive than he let on.
I swam around and took Kes in my arms as Mattias entered him.
The second he did, Kes’ lips were on mine in a frantic kiss.
His hands gliding along my flesh. Being in heat, the emotions were strong as were our libidos.
I wrapped my hand around both our cocks and stroked.
Mattias firmly held Kes’ hips as he bit his shoulder.
I swear, I felt every inch of Mattias’ magic entering Kes just as I had when the same happened to me.
We were bonded, fully. We shared Mattias’ magic, his life span and Goddess forbid if anything happened to him, we’d enter the afterlife right alongside him.
This was by far the most beautiful night of my life.
