Chapter 30
Her head dropped back, her spine arching as his mouth latched onto her neck, his hands working her breasts until she panted before sliding down to tease her. His fingers circled and slid, always backing off right as she wanted—no, needed—more.
She placed her own hand over his, pressing his fingers against her and narrowing her eyes at him over her shoulder.
Aidan grasped her chin, bringing his mouth against hers, but not kissing her. “So. Impatient.” His lips brushed over hers, sending tingles through her body. “Maybe you’re not ready for this. Maybe we should wait.”
A hot flush of needy irritation spread through her, and she found herself cursing her ankle since it stopped her from flipping around.
If she could move, she’d have him exactly where she wanted him in moments.
Instead, she was stuck with her leg elevated, waiting for this infuriating man to get the job done.
He smiled against her neck, wrapping her long, wet locks around his hand until he gripped close to her head, and then he pulled, so her head rested against his shoulder and pec, her brown eyes staring up into his blue.
The water lazed over her chest, her rosy nipples peeking through, and Aidan once again stroked a thumb over her until she writhed uselessly in his hold.
“Unlike you, I have patience in spades, Thorn. Don’t test me, or you’ll hobble out of here with enough frustration to fight ten men, and we both know nothing you do will sate it.”
In response, Elysia plunged her hand beneath the water, reaching for herself. “Oh, I’m sure this would do just fine.”
Soot-stained wisps locked her wrists, forcing her hands to the side of the tub as she gasped, unable to move. Aidan tugged her hair, a wicked smirk gracing his face as he stared down at her. “We’re clearly going to have to set some rules since you can’t behave.”
His large, scarred hand ran over her breast, tweaking her nipple, then continuing down until it reached between her legs and slapped gently. A thrum shot through her body. His mouth curved at how her face heated, and she pressed her lips together against a moan.
“When we’re together…” His hand came out of the water and ran silkily down her face, over her lips and throat, to the softness of her stomach. He grabbed tightly onto the swell of her hips and ass. “This is mine.”
Her chest heaved as she blinked up at him. Fuck her ankle, she was going to scream if he didn’t take her now. Another smile twitched at his lips as if he knew what she was thinking.
“Do you agree, Thorn?”
He reached down, finally using the kind of pressure that sent stars into her vision.
Mindlessly, she pressed her hips up, still chasing the feeling he kept abruptly taking away. Two more smooth, perfect circles, and then his hand disappeared again, squeezing her hip, waiting for her answer.
“Fine,” she bit out, looking away from the intense fire of his gaze.
The hand still tangled in her hair massaged into her skull. “That doesn’t sound very enthusiastic.”
He carefully undid his hand from her hair, and dislodged himself from the tub, sitting her up as he did so. She grabbed hold of the edges of the tub, turning slightly to stare at him aghast.
“Are you kidding me right now?”
He paused, still half-bent as he made to stand, and Elysia regretted her outburst when she realized she was now eye to eye with a very prominent part of his anatomy.
Long, but not overly thick, she let her ankle slide into the tub so she could twist and take him by the base and slowly stroke him to the tip.
Aidan shuddered, his blue eyes flaring and soot-stained wisps of power leaking into the room. One by one, his power removed her fingers as he stared down at her, tortured and battling something she couldn’t see.
“Fuck it.”
She barely heard the growl, but the words slipped out.
He lifted her out of the tub, water splashing everywhere as he stalked back into her room, and threw her down on the bed, his power snapping out to be a cloud beneath her ankle.
She lay back, naked and sprawled as he stood at the end of the bed.
His hands crept up her thighs too slowly for her liking.
She propped herself on one elbow, scowling at him. “I thought when I told you yes, you would do something about it.”
Faster than her breath could escape, his warm, naked body lay partially over hers, his fingers suddenly filling her.
She stretched into the sensation, a soft sound hissing in her throat.
Dark hair fell onto his forehead as he held himself above her, easing his fingers in and out slow enough that it was excruciating.
Writhing, she began to burn, clutching at his shoulders and arms.
“More,” she demanded.
Aidan let out a low laugh, relaxed and unhurried at her side. “What was that, Thorn? You want me to go slower?” His pace lazed, slipping through her heat, and curling into her perfectly. Her hips lifted, seeking him, but his power shot out, holding her down.
“Is this mine?” he asked again, pausing and clearly enjoying the sight of her frustrated and wanting.
“Yes,” she spat, her gaze narrowing to as much of a glare as she could manage.
Satisfied, he covered her with his body, pressing her into the mattress, and nipped at her throat with a growl. “Good.”
He slid his fingers in, his palm grinding against her.
“That means this.”
His hand left her, trailing lightly over sensitive skin.
“Is mine to pleasure.”
His fingers slammed in again, finally allowing her hips to push up into him.
“As I see fit.”
She panted. He could say whatever he wanted, so long as he didn’t stop. She moved with him, his pacing becoming steady and building. He kept working her, but one hand grabbed her face, his lips an inch from her skin.
“I would wait a thousand years for you. But in here? I need you to let me have you. Let me worship and taste every part of you until your body knows the truth. I am safe. I will always wait for your yes, and even when you’re a pain in my ass, your only cries will be from pleasure. Can you trust me with this?”
“Yes.” Her brown eyes were likely wild, but for the first time her yes was emphatic without a single hesitation, and she watched the change come over him at the difference.
“Good girl,” he murmured huskily. Lifting her, he brought them both upright, her arms wrapping and clinging around his neck so there was no space between them.
One hand on her lower back, he fixed his burning cobalt gaze onto hers as he deepened his touch, increasing the pace until a hot flush spread across her chest.
“You flush so pretty when you’re about to come for me.” His low words sent her flying, lights and sensation tipping her over as she soared, collapsing against him in sweet relief. Limp against him, she pressed her lips to his skin.
Aidan laid her back on the pillows and crawled on top of her, the length of him even harder than before and brushing against her. She made to lazily pull him closer, but he stopped her, his power knocking her hands away with a slight growl.
“I’m not done.”
In an instant, her good knee was bent, foot propped on his shoulder as he dove face-first between her legs.
She fell back against the pillows, another orgasm building immediately as an embarrassingly low moan came out of her mouth.
The sound of her pleasure didn’t slow him now.
Done playing, he worked harder, taking her small breast into his hand, pinching and flicking her nipple until she was gripping the bedding and shoving herself at his face.
His soft laugh rumbled against her heat in a way that made her eyes roll back, and then his fingers slipped back inside her and she was gone.
She broke with a ragged sound, coming so hard tears spilled from the edges of her eyes.
Body shaking, she came undone as he continued to tease the very last drops of her pleasure out into existence.
Boneless, she melted into the bed as Aidan lay down beside her, brushing her wet hair away from her face.
“You’re perfect,” he said, his voice so serious and quiet that her heart swelled before she could hide from the words. She said nothing though, blushing as he settled in beside her, running soothing hands over her arms and relaxing her even further. “Would you like me to ease your ankle now?”
Turning to him, she laughed, finally noticing the persistent pain. “I haven’t thought about it.”
His smile was smug, and she shook her head.
“Drug me, Your Deadliness.”
“As you wish,” he murmured, his blue eyes still burning. The same intoxicating but sleepy feeling she remembered from when she first crashed through the realms to find the god who had promised her a deal swept through her from head to toe.
She smiled sleepily at him, and his chest moved with laughter.
“Rest,” he ordered softly, and she did. She closed her eyes, more content and at ease than she’d ever been.
