Undercover Shadows of Justice

Coffee shop owner Holly Bristol has spent years trying to forget one night with Reid Fleming, her best friend’s older brother, her long-held crush, and the only man she had pictured sharing a life with, after he left to join the Navy.

Reid has come back to Blackridge to care for his grandfather, a retired judge, rather than to face the woman he still cannot put behind him.

The FBI now connects a run of violent attacks to Holly’s shop, with every scene built around something from her business and the culprit apparently moving unnoticed among her regular customers.

Because Shadow Point Security and the FBI are convinced Holly is in danger, Reid, a former Navy JAG officer, volunteers to go undercover as a barista to keep her safe and to prove he will not leave her again.

Holly intends to withhold her trust even while the chemistry between them refuses to cool.

Those threats also lead Reid to one of his grandfather’s old courtroom cases, and if he cannot reach the truth in time, Holly will become the killer’s final target in a deadly bid for justice.
