Chapter Nineteen
Sadie
We are supposed to be leaving soon to drive to the cabin, but the guys are taking their time getting ready. They are finding far too much excitement out of fucking with me this week. All of them, really.
Everyone is at our house. They all stayed here last night after we watched a movie. Naturally, they spent the entire evening messing with Stacy and me. She and I ended up ditching them to go sleep in the guest room. We even made sure to lock the door so they couldn’t come in and fuck with us.
“We should have left half an hour ago,” Stacy complains.
“We could just get in my car and go,” I laugh.
“That’s… a good idea,” she grins. “Let’s see if we can sneak our stuff out.” I nod happily, and we casually walk to the living room where everyone is talking.
“We are going to take our stuff down,” I say.
“We aren’t ready for that yet,” Todd says simply, looking at his phone as he sits comfortably on the couch.
“I know. Take your time. We are just bored,” I say as we pick up our bags. Todd looks up and glares at us, but we remain serious. “We’ll be back.”
Stacy and I get all of our stuff out of the house and into my car before Todd comes out onto the porch as we are getting into my car.
“You little shits,” he laughs. “What are you two doing?”
“Going to the cabin,” I say. “Hurry up… or don’t. We can have plenty of fun alone.”
“Does anyone know you’re leaving?” he asks.
“Nope,” Stacy giggles.
She and I both yell and jump into my car when Todd leaps off the porch to stop us from leaving. I get my door locked just as he gets to the car, so I roll the window down a few inches.
“Yes?” I ask.
“If you pull out of this driveway without telling anyone, both of you will be punished,” he warns.
“Okay, okay,” I laugh. I pick up my phone and send a text.
Me
Stacy and I are headed to the cabin. See you there ;)
When Todd’s phone dings to indicate a text, he growls at me as he pulls it out. Before he can retaliate to my bratty behavior, I roll my window up and shift into gear. He steps back, and we wave to him as we pull out of the driveway.
The cabin is three hours away, overlooking a lake. We have been coming here for years. Last year we didn’t come out here, so this is the first time without Leo and with Stacy.
It would be a lie if I didn’t say it’s going to be weird not having him here.
I have so many good memories with everyone here, especially Leo.
He would take me out on the lake, and we’d talk about…
everything. When we got back, he and I would build a fire so everyone else could come out and enjoy the evening with us.
It hurts to think that I won’t have that, but it hurts more that I never knew the awful things he wanted to do to me.
Leo was the type of friend who would attentively listen to everything you had to say, then promise you that everything would be okay.
How fucked up is that? How can someone be so evil yet pretend to be so sweet?
In some ways, Leo is worse than Paul. I knew what to expect from Paul…
but Leo? I have no idea what he will do to me.
I am bummed out and sad by the time I stop my car in front of the cabin. A flood of memories, good and bad, hit me when I step out and walk into the yard. I walk down to the dock where Leo’s boat used to be tied up and take my shoes off so I can sit with my feet in the water.
“Hey. You okay?” Stacy asks as she sits beside me.
“No,” I say tearfully. “I have sat on this same dock countless times with him. I trusted myself alone with him for years… And yet the entire time he wanted to hurt me.”
“I know, sweetie,” she says as she wraps her arm around my shoulders, squeezing me.
“I’m trying not to make myself paranoid, but he knows we come here around this time,” I say. “If anyone else got hurt because of me… I don’t think I could survive that.”
“We will all be just fine, Sadie,” she says. “Yourself included.”
“I just wish I could go back and do something different. Maybe if I had been a better friend…”
“No. No. None of that,” she says. “Some people are just sick and evil. Leo is one of those people.”
I nod and lay my head on her shoulder. “I’m so glad I have you in my life, Stacy,” I say.
“I’m here forever, babe. We will be old and gray, terrorizing the nursing home together,” she says, and I laugh.
We sit on the dock and don’t move until we hear footsteps behind us. When I turn, I see Lance, Mason, and Dean walking over, focused on me.
When Lance wraps me in a hug, it forces tears to surface. “I’m sorry,” I sniff and pull away to wipe my face.
“Don’t apologize, baby,” he says softly, cupping my face. “Are you okay?”
“Yeah, just dwelling on memories I shouldn’t be thinking about,” I say. “I’ll be okay.”
“Well, we have a whole week to make more memories,” Mason says as he hugs me. “This is the first of many years that Stacy will come with us, so we can all start fresh.”
“Yeah,” I smile.
“Have you two gone inside?” Dean asks, and I shake my head.
“I wanted to wait for the three of you to be here,” I admit, and look down at my hands. Dean lifts my chin and softly kisses me.
“Let’s go inside,” he says sweetly. I nod and go to take a step toward the cabin, but he scoops me up and tosses me over his shoulder.
“Put me down,” I giggle and tickle his side. He smacks my ass as he carries me, and I yelp.
When they get the door open, he carries me in and drops me to my feet. “What would you like to do?” Mason asks.
“Sadie and I are going swimming,” Stacy says as she grabs my hand and pulls me away from everyone before they can grab me.
We go upstairs with our bags and get dressed in our bikinis. We are in no rush, so we come downstairs twenty minutes later, and all of the guys are dressed to go swimming.
“What are you guys doing?” I ask with a frown.
“Swimming,” Mason says with a grin.
“Mhmm,” I say. I grab a towel for Stacy and me before we go ahead of the guys to the lake. We lay out our towels and stand on the dock together.
We turn when we hear footsteps running down the dock toward us. I scream when Jake wraps his arms around my body and jumps into the water, still holding onto me. When we surface, he keeps a hold on me.
“You’re going to drown me,” I complain and wiggle against him, trying to get free. Stacy is laughing, and I see that Del has done the same thing to her.
“Better hold on then,” Jake laughs and tickles my side, making me squeal. I put my arms around his neck, and he loosens his grip as he moves his hands to my waist.
“Have I told you recently that you’re an ass?” I ask.
“You only say that because he pulled you over,” Mason laughs.
“It made me late for meeting Del and Ben, but in hindsight, I guess that didn’t matter because all they did was diddle me,” I say, and Stacy laughs.
We are all in the water now, but somehow Stacy and I have ended up surrounded by them.
“So, what are we doing this week, Little Demon?” Lance asks as he pulls me to his chest.
“Ideally, avoiding being attacked by the 8 of you,” I say as I wrap my legs around his waist and loop my arms around his neck.
“Aw. But we brought blindfolds,” Lance teased.
“Damn, at least they don’t know what we talk about on the phone,” Stacy laughs. Ever since they went through my texts on Wednesday, we have been having all of our conversations on a phone call so we can continue talking about our mutual fantasies.
“Oh?” Mason asks her, then narrows his eyes at me. “What have you two dirty girls been talking about?”
“Nunya,” I giggle and pull away from Lance. I move myself backward toward the shore, and Stacy follows. We are far enough away that we could get out of the lake before they got to us. I glance over at Stacy, and she smiles at me.
“If you run, we will catch you,” Todd says with a threatening tone. He moves closer to us, and Stacy and I simultaneously turn and swim toward shore. The second our feet are out of the water, we take off running to the cabin.
We shut and lock the door behind us before going upstairs. We get into the guest bedroom and close ourselves in as the front door opens. We can hear them talking as they move around downstairs.
“Maybe that was a bad idea,” Stacy giggles. “I don’t think you know just how intense Todd can be.”
“He looks so… innocent,” I say, and she laughs.
“He regularly makes me blackout, and I’m basically always sore, especially when I am bratty to him,” she explains.
“Dean can be overwhelming sometimes,” I say. “Really, all three of them, especially together.”
“When Todd gets a hold of you… You’ll know,” she says confidently.
“They’re waiting us out,” she says.
“We may as well just go downstairs,” I shrug. We get dressed and dry our hair before leaving the room. When I step out of the room, Dean is there. I squeal and try to jump away from him, but he grabs me and moves me over to sit on the banister that overlooks the living room.
“Dean! Don’t you fucking do it,” I laugh and try to get off the banister.
“Do what?” he asks with a mischievous grin. I scream when he leans me back while keeping a firm grip on my arms.
“Dean! Stop. Stop it. You’re crazy!” I screech and dig my nails into his arms to keep a hold of him.
“Don’t you trust me?” he asks, faking a pouting face. He leans me back more, and I gasp and try to pull myself back up.
“I will fucking hurt you if you drop me,” I threaten.
“Pretty sure it’ll be me hurting you if I drop you head-first off the banister,” he cackles.
“Dean! Come on. You know I hate this shit,” I complain.
“Didn’t like when I fucked you on the balcony last year?” he asks, pressing his hips against mine. I gasp when I feel his cock push against me.
“That was a further fall. I wouldn’t have felt the impact,” I laugh. “Please!”
“Okay, okay,” he says with a smile as he pulls me back to stand on the ground. He suddenly grows serious, and it throws me off. “Take Stacy and go to the master bedroom. Put on the blindfolds and lie down.”
“Hmm. Pass,” I say as I back up a few steps.
