Chapter 10

Caydence

I sit with Megan having dinner since I haven’t been around much lately. I’ve missed my time with her.

“So, how’s Devon?” she asks. I grin. I can’t help it. He makes me smile, and that’s not something a lot of people can do.

“He’s good.”

“I bet he is.”

“Meg! Stop that,” I tell her, but I can’t stop the laugh that comes out.

Just as I’m about to say more, I hear his voice.

Megan looks up, and her smile fades. I turn my head to look at what’s going on when I see him.

He’s with a woman. His hand is on the small of her back, leading her into the restaurant.

My stomach churns at the thought of him being with someone else.

“Who the hell is she?” Megan asks in a defensive tone. I turn back to her and shrug.

“I have no idea.”

“They’re all dressed up,” she adds, eyeing him like she might stab him in the eye with her steak knife. Her cell rings as I grab my wine and take a drink.

“Shit. My dad was hurt at work. I need to go,” she says quickly.

“Oh no. I hope he’s okay. Go, I got this,” I tell her, waving her off.

She smiles sadly and grabs her bag before taking off out of the restaurant.

I reach for my purse as well and pull out some cash to pay when I hear his laugh.

Bile burns the back of my throat as I reach for my wine and down what’s left of it.

I stand and against my better judgement glance over there. He’s laughing. She’s laughing. I should have known better than to mess with a guy like Devon. He has money, looks, and power. The whole trifecta. What the hell would he want with someone like me? I was stupid.

Just as I’m about to look away, he looks over. His smile fades as I jerk my head in the other direction and take off out the door. I start down the street when a hand catches my waist.

“Where are you going?” he asks in a dark tone.

“Home.”

“What are you doing here?” Now I spin to face him, angry that I let myself get mixed up with him in the first place.

“I was having dinner with Megan. She had an emergency and had to leave. Now I’m leaving,” I say, pulling back so he has to release his hold on me.

His hand falls to his side as he stares at me.

When he doesn’t say anything, I turn and start walking again.

When I think I’m far enough away, I let out a sigh.

Hands wrap around my waist once more and pull me back. I’m stumbling trying to right myself when my back hits the brick of the building.

“What the hell?” I yell at Devon. His face is shrouded in darkness, making him look menacing and scary.

“Don’t walk away from me.”

“Are you serious? Go back to your dinner,” I snap at him. He grins and it’s a deadly grin. One I should be afraid of.

“You’re jealous.”

“No. I’m stupid,” I tell him.

“How so?”

“To even think that you would be interested in someone like me. It was stupid.” Devon’s eyes flash darker than I’ve ever seen them before he spins me and pins me against the wall. I hear him fumbling behind me before he drags my dress up my legs.

“Let me go,” I snarl at him.

“No. Never.” Then he’s thrusting into me. I gasp as my palms scrape along the brick wall. Thrust after thrust, he fucks the words right out of me. I don’t have anything to say. I should be angry, I should be yelling, but I’m not. I’m enjoying it. I’m enjoying the feel of him inside me.

“Never letting you go, Caydence,” he growls as he takes me harder and faster. I feel him swell right before he comes, and I do the same. My nails claw at the brick wall, no doubt drawing blood.

When Devon pulls out of me, I try to catch my breath. My dress falls back into place as I keep my face pressed against the cool brick. I hear him behind me, fixing his clothes before he grabs me and spins me to face him.

“I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about you being jealous, but after seeing it in person, I fucking love it.”

“I’m not jealous.”

“Ask me.”

“Ask you what?”

“Who she is.”

“It’s not my business.”

“Yes, it is. Ask me,” he demands this time.

“Who is she?”

“She’s an associate of my dad’s. He’s away on business, and I had to cover his meeting. Now you’ll be joining us,” he orders as he grabs my hand and tugs me with him.

“I can’t go in there like this,” I tell him as I try to pull my hand away. He only tightens his around mine.

“Like what? With my cum dripping down your thighs? Yeah, you’re going to sit through this meeting with me just like that, and when we’re done, I’m going to lick every part of you clean.” My cheeks heat at his words, and he knows exactly what he’s doing to me.

“I’m sorry.”

“No, you’re not. You wanted to be a brat to get my attention, and it worked.”

“I wasn’t being a brat,” I deny, trying yet again to pull away from him.

“You weren’t being a good girl. You could have simply walked over and said hello, Caydence.”

“Why would I do that?”

“Because I’m your boyfriend, that’s why.”

“What?” He stops walking and turns to face me now, his hand coming up to grip my face.

“I’m your boyfriend. Anytime you want to come to me, you do it. I don’t care who is around or who is watching. I’m yours, Caydence.” With that, he grabs my hand and leads me back inside.

He introduces me to his dad’s associate and forces me to sit incredibly close to him. He keeps his hand on my knee as he eats his dinner and speaks about work-related things. I sit here sipping my wine and feeling like a complete fool.

I’m not used to having good things in my life. I’m used to being used and abused. That’s about how my whole life has gone. And I thought Devon was going to be the same, but he isn’t, and I’m quickly realizing that I was wrong about him.

Once the conversation is over and the woman leaves, Devon drags me closer to him.

“I think it’s about time I cleaned up the mess I left on you.”

“What do you mean?”

“I mean, I know your thighs are sticky, and when I said I was going to lick you clean, I meant it.” A shiver runs through me, and I visibly shake. Devon grins and leans in, pressing his lips to mine.

“We should go before I lay you on this table and do it right here, right now.”

“You wouldn’t.”

“Are you trying my patience, baby?”

“You’d go to jail,” I remind him. He chuckles.

“I have enough money and pull that I’d be out in an hour,” he says as he slowly drags my dress up my legs.

He nudges my legs apart with his fingers, and I slowly slide them apart.

He dips a finger inside me and groans before pulling it free and bringing it to his lips.

I watch him lick and then suck his finger as my lips part.

“Now, should I eat your pussy on this table and take our chances, or are you ready to go?”
