CHAPTER 21

BOBBY

Bobby couldn’t keep the smile off his face, and people were commenting, but he couldn’t tell them why he was so happy.

He’d promised Gabriel he wouldn’t say anything, but he wanted to shout it from the rooftops.

If people had an issue with him being in a relationship with a man, that was their problem.

He didn’t feel like he needed a “coming out” moment, because he wasn’t sure which box he was in.

All he knew was that he wanted a relationship with Gabriel and had never felt such a connection with anyone before.

Once he’d stopped questioning what it all meant and just followed his heart, everything had clicked into place.

He’d known Gabriel for two years and always admired him.

Since the start of the year, they’d become friends, and then Gabriel had been his knight in shining armour when he was homeless.

Gabriel could have left Bobby to deal with everything himself and stayed loyal to his sister, but he hadn’t.

He wasn’t sure when he started thinking about Gabriel differently, as it was a lot of little things.

When he’d kissed him for the first time, it had felt right.

And the sex? That was incredible. He couldn’t get enough, and he loved that he could be rough, and Gabriel encouraged him to do it.

Bobby knew he was a big guy, but he could manhandle Gabriel and not worry about hurting him.

Well, that wasn’t true, he would always worry a little.

If he hurt Gabriel, even by accident, he could never forgive himself.

Thinking about manhandling Gabriel in bed was making him get hard at his desk.

Not something he needed when he had a meeting with the bossman in ten minutes.

He would need to head up to that floor soon.

“Good morning, Bobby,” said Sergio, appearing in front of his desk.

“This isn’t your floor.”

Sergio chuckled. “Thought I’d stop by and ask after that husband of yours.”

He spoke quietly so nobody could hear him, but Bobby could feel his face heating.

“I’m glad you two worked things out.”

Bobby couldn’t stop himself smiling, and then he remembered that Sergio almost stole Gabriel away from him, which was completely irrational, but he’d seen their chemistry with his own eyes. Although he doubted Sergio could get Gabriel to cum hands free as many times as Bobby had.

“If you need someone to talk to as you get your head around all this, just let me know,” he said before walking away.

Great, Bobby now felt like an arsehole. He’d have to find time to talk to Sergio properly, but now he needed to get to Daniel’s office.

He took the stairs, which he regretted by the time he’d walked up the two flights.

Bobby was fit, but he’d been using his thigh muscles a lot these past couple of days.

He’d always had a high sex drive, but he’d never had a partner who was as horny as he was all the time.

Perhaps it was a guy thing. He’d need to ask his brothers.

Daniel’s office door was open when he arrived. Claudette told him to go in, but he still knocked. Daniel sat at his board table, reading a document, and when he saw it was Bobby, he smiled and walked over with his hand extended to shake it.

“Here’s the hero,” said Daniel.

Bobby looked behind him for someone else.

“Thanks for clearing your diary to see me so quickly.”

As if he would have turned down a meeting request from the managing partner.

“Are you feeling better? Janine said you were off sick yesterday.”

He felt his face heat. “Yes . . . yes, it was just a minor thing.”

Daniel looked at him sceptically, but said nothing. Nothing got past that man. Did he know Bobby had thrown a sickie and spent the whole day eating and fucking?

“Well, whatever happened, you look a lot more chipper than the last few times I saw you.”

“Oh, do I? Thanks. What did you want to see me for?”

“We settled on the Rainbow Futures case.”

“Really? I thought it would have to go all the way.”

“Not when we presented your evidence to them. I would have liked to have seen their faces, but everything hit them on Friday, as you know. They called to talk numbers yesterday. I’d have had you in there, but you were . . . otherwise engaged.”

Bobby’s eyes widened. What the fuck was he supposed to say to that?

Daniel laughed. “You think I haven’t thrown a sickie with Josh? Just don’t make a habit of it.”

“No, sir . . . sorry, I just . . .”

“Stop calling me sir, Bobby. You make me sound old. You’re as old as the man you feel, so technically I’m twenty-six.”

“And I’m thirty-six.” He gasped and put his hand over his mouth. “Sorry, this is a really inappropriate conversation to be having with the big boss.”

“Big boss? Hmmm.” Daniel took out his phone and sent a text to someone. “Worked things out with the husband, then?”

“It’s still new. We’re not saying anything to people just yet.”

“And that’s his choice?”

“Am I wearing a bug or something?”

“No, I’m just that good!”

Bobby laughed, but he couldn’t help but feel embarrassed. While he appreciated Daniel talking so candidly with him, he was still the boss and someone Bobby held in high regard.

“Did we get the number we wanted?” asked Bobby, aiming to move the conversation away from personal matters.

Daniel smiled, not missing a thing. “Yes, we did. Full compensation, and they get the IP reverted to them for the strategy they’d collaborated on. They’ll still need external support with finalising that, but they’ll have the money now.”

“I’ve got something that might help with that, if you’ve got time for me to show you.”

“Of course.” Daniel gestured for them to sit at the table.

Bobby opened his laptop and navigated to the document he’d been pulling together, alongside the case.

He connected his laptop to the screen on Daniel’s wall.

The man himself leaned back, giving it his full attention.

That was something he’d noticed when working with Daniel over the past few months.

The man seemed to be in a hundred places at once, but when you were with him, he was focused on you.

“I wasn’t sure if we’d have to go to court, and I didn’t want them held in limbo when they need fundraising now. Most revenue comes in during the spring and summer, and they need to be in a good place for Pride month.

“I spoke to several PR firms and shortlisted these three. All of them will offer their services for free for three months, with no expectation that a contract will be signed afterwards. I’ve vetted them all.

This is a summary of the due diligence,” he said, flicking to that slide.

“Then I have at least three testimonials for each firm from their LGBTQ+ clients.”

“When did you have time to do this?”

“I was worried about the impact this would have if it was dragged through court. Even if they won, it wouldn’t give them back this time to connect with the community.”

“Fucking hell, Bobby, you’re gonna make me cry in the office.”

Bobby looked at him, dumbfounded. “You can cry?”

Daniel laughed before jumping up. “What’s your diary like for lunch?”

“I don’t have any calls.”

“Excellent.” He walked over to his office door and opened it. “Claudette, can you add Bobby to the reservation I have with Sarah later.”

Bobby didn’t hear her response, but assumed she was on it, based on Daniel’s smile.

“Do you have a recommendation from the three you shortlisted?”

“Yeah, I’ve got it on another slide.”

“Save it and tell Sarah at lunch.”

“Sarah, as in the CEO of Rainbow Futures?”

Bobby had never met her, as she dealt with Daniel, while he had mostly been working with her team on the case. They were closer to the detail, and Bobby had gotten to know them well over the past few months.

“You did all the work, Bobby. You put it to her, along with your recommendation.”

“Didn’t you say Sarah was a good friend of yours?”

“She is. We’ve known each other since uni.”

“Won’t I be imposing on your lunch?”

“Not at all. Meet me downstairs in reception at twenty past twelve. It’s a ten-minute walk from here. Assume we’ll be gone a couple of hours. Although, knowing Sarah, I would probably clear your afternoon.”

Bobby wasn’t sure what to say to that. All he could do was agree and hope he didn’t make a tit out of himself later.

Bobby walked into the flat and saw Gabriel at his desk. He went over to him, leaned down, and kissed him on the forehead. Gabriel startled, his eyes widening.

“Hello, my sexy husband.”

Bobby was surprised when he heard someone laughing. He looked at the screen and saw Jason looking at him with a big grin on his face.

“Something you want to tell me, Gabriel?” asked Jason.

“I’ll speak to you tomorrow,” said Gabriel, ending the call to the sound of Jason laughing. “What are you doing, Bobby? That could have been a stakeholder or a vendor.”

“Sorry. Please don’t be cross with me. I like you smiling and looking all sexy.”

“Are you drunk?”

“We’ve been celebrating!”

“Let me get you some water,” said Gabriel, standing up.

Bobby followed him into the kitchen. “Are you mad at me?”

“Of course not. I was surprised, and Jason will not keep what he saw to himself.”

“Isn’t he the chief HR boss? Isn’t it his job to keep things secret?”

“HR people are the biggest gossips on the planet, especially when it’s about one of their own.”

“Sorry, but does it matter if Jason knows about us? People aren’t stupid. Even Daniel worked it out.”

“How?”

“He said I was glowing and guessed I’d thrown a sickie yesterday. He was fine with it, just told me not to make it a habit. He even said he’d done the same, so he could spend the day railing Josh.”

“Did your boss actually say that to you?”

“He didn’t use the words, but I got the gist of what he was saying. I mean, a boss wouldn’t say it like that, would he?”

Gabriel snorted. “You’ve never worked with Jason.”

Bobby chuckled. He had only met Jason in passing a few times, but was looking forward to meeting him properly.

He was a big part of Gabriel’s life, so anyone who was important to his husband was important to him.

Gabriel passed him a pint of water, which Bobby downed.

He was thirstier than he thought. Gabriel filled the glass again, and this time passed him some paracetamol.

“I don’t have a headache.”

“You will when you sober up.”

“I’m just a bit merry.”

“Okay, well, you can sleep in your own bed tonight.”

Bobby’s jaw dropped, and he couldn’t get the paracetamol into his mouth quick enough. Gabriel left and walked out, so Bobby followed him and grabbed him from behind, kissing his neck.

“Let’s go to bed early.”

“We haven’t had dinner yet.”

“I had a big lunch.”

“Of the liquid kind.”

“I had lobster, and then a few cocktails.”

“With Daniel?”

“It was him and Sarah. She’s the CEO of Rainbow Futures. Her wife joined us for a bit. They’ve been together for thirty years. Do you think we’ll last that long?”

Gabriel chuckled. “I’m gonna remind you that you said that when you’re sober. What was the lunch for?”

“We won the case. Then I found them a new PR company, which Sarah loved, and she invited us over for dinner at her house. Then Daniel said he was gonna recommend me for senior associate, and all I had to do was not fuck up the interview.”

“The drunkenness makes sense now. That’s amazing, Bobby.” Gabriel pulled him into a big hug, which he loved, but being this close to the man was making Bobby hard.

“Let’s go to bed and celebrate.”

Gabriel chuckled. “My arse needs a night off.”

Bobby looked him in the eyes. “I didn’t hurt you, did I?”

“You fucked me into the mattress three times yesterday. I’ll be good to go again tomorrow.”

“Maybe I can kiss it better for you?”

“What?”

“I mean, I’ve never rimmed someone before, but it’s got to be like licking a pussy, isn’t it?”

Gabriel burst out laughing. “Please, never say that again.”

Bobby laughed with him. “Well, how are we going to celebrate?”

Gabriel shook his head and smiled before dropping to his knees. “I can think of a way.”

“Oh, why don’t I suck your cock instead?”

“Not tonight.”

“Why not?”

“You’ve never done it before. You’ll try to take the whole thing in your mouth at once because you can’t say no to a challenge. Then, because you’re drunk, you’ll probably throw up on the carpet, and I’ll have to clean it up, because you wouldn’t have a clue how to do it.”

Bobby looked at him in shock and then started laughing. Gabriel freed Bobby’s cock from his trousers. He was already dripping and knew it wouldn’t take long when he combined Gabriel’s blow-job talent with how horny he was.

“I love how well you know me already.”

“I also know how much you love having your cock down my throat.”

Before he could say anything back, Bobby let out a filthy moan as Gabriel took all of his cock down his throat. Yeah, he was right, this would not take long at all.
