Chapter 13
CHAPTER THIRTEEN
Kiara
“That was delicious,” Crew says, patting his flat stomach as we step out of Sapphire’s. “I can see why that’s your favorite restaurant.”
I hum as he slips his hand into mine, Davis spinning around to face us as Mason and Alexander stop on either side of us.
“What now?” the beta asks, eyes flickering across the four of us.
He seems nervous, and it’s not the first time I’ve noticed it tonight. Davis has always been carefree. I’ve probably only seen him nervous a handful of times in the years I’ve known him, so I don’t understand what’s going on with him tonight.
“Crew? Kiara?” Alexander turns his attention to us, but even Crew’s eyes are on me.
It seems I’m the one who gets to decide.
Joy.
“I don’t really feel like going out and dealing with other people,” I admit. “Can we just go back to the house and hang out?”
Davis’s smile lights up his face. “Thank fuck. I wasn’t joking earlier about us being out with other people. Did you see how many people were checking out the two of you?”
I can’t help the laugh that spills out as I stare at him.
We were getting a lot of attention tonight from both the male and female populations. I can’t say for sure who was being checked out, but I know the four men surrounding me are hot as sin, and if I wasn’t with them, I don’t think I’d be able to stop staring at them either.
I’d prefer to ignore the idea that anyone was checking me out. It makes me feel uncomfortable.
I know I look damn good tonight, but the only people I want to look good for are these four men.
Dinner went really well, and I’m finally accepting that maybe—just maybe—Mason, Davis, and Alexander are just as interested in me as they are Crew. I need to take them at their word and stop letting the very evil voice in the back of my head make me doubt myself and them.
Yes, I’m a beta. No, alphas don’t need betas like they need omegas—and vice versa—but Davis is a beta too. Mason and Alexander have been with him for years.
I’d like to blame the omegas I’ve met over the years for making me feel inferior to them, but I’ve only met a handful of bitchy omegas who thought they were better than me because of their designation.
No, this is one hundred percent just me talking myself into thinking I’m not enough for any of them. Just some good old-fashioned self-doubt, which is something anyone can have—no matter their designation.
“I’m good with hanging out at the house.” Crew grins. “As nice as it is to dress up and go out, I already wish I was in my sweats.”
“I’m all for you being in your sweats,” I say with a grin, eyes widening as growls surround us. “Umm…”
Davis snickers, eyes full of heat as he grabs mine and Crew’s hands, dragging us up to join him.
He links his arm through ours so he’s in the middle.
“Just ignore the alphas. They’ve forgotten their manners.
Although I’ll admit, Crew looked damn good in his sweatpants the other morning. Do you often go commando?”
“Seriously, Davis?” Mason groans, but I just giggle as Crew grins.
“Not always, but more often than not. Ever since they started making male omega clothing with slick-gathering lining. There’s nothing worse than underwear lines ruining a good pair of leather pants, am I right?” He glances over his shoulder when he says that, and I can’t help but do the same.
Alexander and Mason’s eyes are glued to Crew’s ass, which is what my omega surely meant to happen. I giggle again as I turn forward, my head tilting so I can see him around Davis. “You’re trouble, Crew.”
“You know it.” He shoots me a wink while Davis throws his head back as he laughs.
“I think you’re both trouble—separately and together.”
I shrug, knowing he’s probably right.
Once we make it back to the car, Davis helps me and Crew into the backseat before tossing Mason the keys. “You can drive home.”
Mason gapes at him as Davis climbs in on my other side. Alexander just shakes his head and climbs into the passenger seat, which sends me and Crew into a fit of laughter.
“I think you’re trouble, Davis Cole,” Crew says as Mason finally climbs into the SUV and pulls out of the parking spot.
“That, he definitely is.” Alexander grins over his shoulder. “I’m not sure if Mason and I are ready for three troublemakers.”
I pout, crossing my arms over my chest. “I’m only trouble when Crew is involved.”
“You can’t fool us, princess.” Mason chuckles as I meet his eyes in the rearview mirror. “We’ve known you long enough to know better.”
“Whatever.” I stick out my tongue as Davis drapes his arm over the back of the seat, his fingers sliding into Crew’s hair.
Crew lets out a contented sigh as Davis plays with his hair, bringing a smile to my face.
Seriously, why did I freak out over the four of them being scent matches? It’s clear they’re obsessed with Crew, but they’ve been paying me just as much attention.
They really don’t care that I’m not their scent match.
“You’re thinking too hard, kitten.”
I blink, turning my attention to Alexander and offering him a soft smile. “I like to overthink things, you know that.”
“As long as you’re not overthinking yourself into running away from us again.” He’s so serious as he stares at me.
“No. Nothing like that. I’m done running, I promise.”
He nods once as Mason pulls into the driveway. “You better be.”
We all climb out and head for the door, Mason pausing before unlocking it. “Everyone change into something comfortable. We’ll meet in the theater room and turn on a movie or something.”
“Popcorn?” I ask, perking up.
Mason chuckles. “Yeah, I’ll make some popcorn.”
I clap my hands in excitement as the four of them laugh at me.
Whatever. They can laugh all they want. Popcorn is one of my favorite foods.
As soon as the door is unlocked, I duck under Mason’s arm and hurry up the stairs with a laughing Crew on my heels.
I dive for the dresser, but Crew grabs me and spins me around to face him.
His lips descend on mine, and my mouth falls open for him instinctively.
Our tongues move together as he hauls me more firmly against him, and a moan slips out.
“Crew, we’re supposed to be changing—not making out.” His kiss has left me breathless as I stare up at him.
He grins. “I just wanted to make sure we both smelled good when we went downstairs.”
I slam my hand into his stomach as he ducks away, letting out a small oof before laughing. “Asshole.”
“Maybe, but you still love me.”
“Debatable.” Rolling my eyes, I throw open my pajama drawer. Looking through the options, I’m not sure what to wear. Half of them are ridiculous, and I want to look good.
Sure, we’re at home and everyone is supposed to be getting comfortable, but I feel like my yellow duckie PJs don’t exactly scream sexy.
“Wear the silk PJs I got you for Christmas.” I jump at the sound of Crew’s voice, spinning around to find him standing just behind me.
“You don’t usually move that quietly.”
He snorts. “And you usually don’t stare at your PJs as if they hold the answer to every known question.” Reaching around me, he plucks out the pink silky tank top and short set.
I take them from him but hesitate to change into them. “They’re kind of see-through.”
“Why do you think I picked them?” He laughs when my jaw drops. “They’re not actually see-through, Kiki. You just can’t hide how turned on you are in them.”
I flush. “And that’s a good thing?”
He nods. “If the night goes the way I want it to? Yes.”
I bite my lip, watching him. “Are you planning to sleep with them tonight?”
“Fuck no. I plan to have sex with you tonight, but that doesn’t mean we can’t put on a show for them, right?”
Heat rushes through me at that idea. My panties dampen, and I know I should be embarrassed, but I like the idea of the three of them watching me and Crew.
“Oh, does that turn you on, Kiara?” Crew sing-songs, reaching behind me to lower the zipper of my dress. “Then I’m definitely going to make sure that happens. Fuck, I wish we were mated so I could smell you right now.”
I remain silent as he helps me take off the dress, allowing it to spill onto the floor. He reaches behind me once more to unhook my bra and pulls it off, leaving me in nothing but my panties.
“Mmm, perfect. If it wasn’t the first date, I’d take you down there like this.” He palms himself through his sweatpants, squeezing his cock before stepping back. “Put your PJs on before I forget that we’re supposed to be meeting the three of them downstairs.”
For a moment, I consider not joining them, because I really want to climb on Crew’s dick. But tonight is supposed to be about seeing if the five of us can be a pack.
Knowing just how tempting my boyfriend is, I spin away from him and dress quickly as I try to remember how to breathe.
I’m just turning back to face Crew when there’s a knock on the door. “Yeah?”
The door pops open, and Mason’s head appears. “Popcorn is ready.”
“Excellent.”
He shakes his head. “I don’t know how you’re hungry for popcorn right after eating dinner.”
“Popcorn has its own section of her stomach, didn’t you know?” Crew snickers, taking my hand in his. “She’ll always find room for it.”
Silence follows his comments, and I turn to find Mason’s heated eyes scanning up and down my body as he chews on his bottom lip.
My cheeks flush, heat rising in my belly.
“She looks great in those, doesn’t she?” Crew’s voice is husky as he hooks an arm around my waist, dragging me toward the door.
Mason hums, his eyes flicking up to meet mine. “You look beautiful, Kiki.”
“Thanks, Mason,” I murmur as he steps back to allow Crew and me to pass him.
Crew doesn’t release his hold on me as he leads me down the stairs and to the theatre room. The lights are turned down, and we find Davis and Alexander adding blankets to the nest-like, sunken pack-size couch area instead of sitting in the seats we usually use.
“Oh, I like this,” Crew purrs, practically dragging me to join the others. He launches himself into the pile of pillows and blankets, dragging me along.
“Seriously?” I try to pull my hand free, but he refuses to relinquish his hold. Instead, he pulls me to rest my head on his chest as he snuggles into the cushions.
He lets out a sigh, a small smile tugging at his lips. “An omega could get used to this.”
Mason chuckles. “Try not to get too comfortable—this is our parental pack’s home, not ours.”
My eyes widen as I lift my head, meeting Crew’s eyes. I didn’t even think about that when he was convincing me to come down here and tease the guys. There’s no way we can do anything in this room.
I don’t want to even think about the things my parental pack has done here themselves.
Ugh. Puke.
“Maybe this is a bad idea,” I start, already pushing myself into a seated position.
“Don’t worry, Kiara. We washed everything as soon as they left for vacation. It’s not just omegas who enjoy this setup.” Alexander’s wink has me squeezing my thighs together, but there’s still not a damn thing happening in the room.
No way, no how.
Crew rolls his eyes but gives a nod to show he understands. My eyes narrow as I stare at him, not sure I believe him.
“I’ll be a good boy, Kiki,” he assures me, tugging until I’m lying on him once more. “Someone put on a movie and get our girl her popcorn.”
Laughter surrounds us as the three of them move around the room before surrounding us. Having the three of them this close to Crew and me has my blood pressure spiking, but when Davis hands me a bowl of popcorn and a tumbler of soda, I grin.
A girl could definitely get used to this kind of treatment.
As soon as the movie starts, my smile only grows because they put on my favorite movie.
Oh, yes. I could definitely get used to this.
