Chapter 16 - Lily

Lily

He attacked me like a starving man at a feast. Dean kissed and stroked. His fingers traced my stomach’s side, up my chest to graze my nipples.

“Was it my charms or my threats that seduced you?” Dean whispered the words with his lips resting on mine. “Don’t answer. We’ll try both.”

“I’m afraid to answer.”

“The threats, or else you’d tell me. I’ll remember that.”

Dean pushed off the bathtub’s edge and, with his arms on my waist, moved us back to our makeshift bed in the living room.

“It’s not your threats,” I said as he lay over me.

Our bodies pressed together, with him over mine, though neither of us moved.

“Too late for that. No changing your mind now, and I wouldn’t believe it if you tried.” Dean kissed my clavicle and higher, forcing my head to fall back as I silently begged for more. “Do you remember our first time?”

We’d stripped before collapsing onto his hotel bed during a fit of self-conscious laughter. Dean apologized when his elbow hit my side, and the tension broke. We’d spent the rest of the night making love and talking, proving how well we fit together.

“I haven’t forgotten.”

He nodded, approving. “This is our second first time.”

“You mean a fresh start?”

“I mean finishing what we started.”

His lips covered mine, stopping my questions. I wrapped my arms around his neck to keep his body on mine, in case he left again.

If we stayed like this, his hips pressed against mine, his lips destroying my thoughts, it’d be enough.

“How did I do it?” He asked himself. “How did I go a year without sharing this with you every day?”

“Shut up.” I didn’t want to consider that question, not now.

His body vibrated with silent laughter as he rose to sit back on his legs, offering me a delicious view of his naked body. I swept along his thigh, welcoming the crisp hairs on my skin.

He took my hand, moving it so it gripped his cock. “I fought this for days. Did you feel me last night?”

“You know I did.”

Dean nodded. “We’ll do it again, too,” he said and dived between my legs. His hot breath touched my thigh before he tasted me, like he had spent a year planning it. From his behavior, he may have.

He licked at me, his tongue sucking the wetness from my body.

Dean took delight in it last year, always offering before demanding any of his own.

I’d taken it for a general sort of chivalry from a partner invested in a woman’s pleasure, and now reconsidered that after witnessing his possessive behavior and hearing his unbalanced words.

Is it any wonder he’d wrecked me the way he had?

Dean’s tongue took, drawing out screams and leaving me a sobbing mess at his mercy. He sprinkled worshipful kisses on my thighs as I squirmed underneath him. “You taste better than I remember.”

“Like apples,” I breathed.

His body shook. “Better. Sweeter, like you.”

He moved up my body, allowing my own to recover, as he licked the underside of my breasts and smoothed his cheeks across my stomach. “Spread your legs.” I did, and he settled between me, relaxing and not yet ready to force his entry. “You wanted this from me. Admit it.”

I shook my head. “You’re ridiculous.”

“With you, yes. Always. You should still say it.” Dean grazed my chin, so our eyes met.

“I wanted you.”

“From the moment I took you. From before. Every night in my dreams. We don’t stop this time.”

I bit the inside of my cheek, afraid of what might spill from me otherwise.

Dean entered, and I gasped from the delicious shock. Brand new, and so very familiar. Like a homecoming.

I squeezed my eyes shut to focus on him and the place where our bodies joined.

“No. Open your eyes and look at me.” Dean grabbed my hands, forcing them over my head. I opened my eyes. “That’s better. It’s me here. No one else. Watch me fuck you.”

“I never stopped looking at you, Dean.” Never stopped looking for you.

“Same.” He released my hands, grabbed one, and pulled it down to where our bodies met. “Feel this. That’s me. Us.”

He kissed me again, and I kissed him back.

It turned to fire almost immediately. His mouth covered mine as his hips pressed forward, slowly at first, then deeper.

I made a soft, weak sound, and he swallowed it, moving like he already knew what my body needed.

“That’s it,” he murmured, voice rough. “Do you remember this?”

My fingers tightened where he’d guided my hand, feeling the slick slide of our bodies. “I remember.”

I shivered from the intimacy we created.

“So do I. The way you feel. The soft wetness of your body. Your cries at the end. Don’t look away.”

I didn’t.

The mattress moved across the smooth floor. My breath shortened as sensations filled me, turning every nerve into a lightning bolt. I wrapped my legs around his waist, pulling him closer.

Dean swore and dropped his forehead to mine.

He braced one arm beside my head and moved, steady, deep thrusts that built a rhythm my body matched.

I rocked up into him as his control slipped with a quiet roar.

He snapped as I cried his name, my body quivering beneath him. He groaned, thrusting deep as I came, until he followed with a series of harsh grunts.

Afterward, there was only us, with our shared heat and breath.

Dean kissed me, easy this time, and eased off my body.

We lay close as the world came back to us. I didn’t want to leave. Not now. Would another day in our adorable red brick home further change our dynamic, granting me time to unearth another secret and understand him a little more?

I wasn’t sure.

His fingers traced a path between the bumps on my spine. Sensual touches from a starving man.

“Do you remember how we started?” he asked.

I snorted at the memory. “You knocked on my bedroom window. It terrified me.”

“I apologized for that. Besides, can you blame me? I didn’t want your dad to catch me sneaking into his precious daughter’s room.”

“You invited me back to your hotel room instead,” I reminded him, poking his stomach. “That’s not much of an improvement.”

“I didn’t think you would come.”

I sat and crossed my legs. Dean had asked me to come for hot tea and conversation. My stomach fluttered at his offer, so I forced myself to sit on my bed after he left, telling myself to make him wait. Instead, I grabbed my purse and ran down the stairs.

“You had tea waiting for me. You knew what kind I liked. What did you ask me? What was the best worst movie I’d ever seen?”

“Raspberry herbal. Heat until the first bubbles appear. Half a packet of sugar. And everyone has an awful movie they love.”

“Why did you think I wouldn’t come?”

“Why would you?” he asked, as if that were an answer.

He stared up with lazy eyes and a lazier smile, banishing his temporary vulnerability like it never existed. Dean put a hand on my knee. “Come back down here. I want to destroy your innocence again.”

“I haven’t been innocent for a long time.”

Dean picked me up, dragging me until I sat astride him. “Are you the one corrupting me?” He jerked, flipping us so that he lay over me. “Let’s stay here.”

In this house? For how long? I wanted to go home. His lips curled, and I knew. “Dean, we can’t.”

“I could make you.” He probably could.

Dean jerked away and put a finger to his lips.

It didn’t work. “What is it?”

A car engine went silent before its doors slammed.

I sat and searched for our clothes. Where were they? I couldn’t remember.

Dean grabbed my hand, jerking me. He led me to the nearest hallway as the front door opened and men’s voices sounded.
