Chapter 25
Chapter Twenty-Five
Nearly a week later, Laurie stood with Joseph at the front of a small ballroom inside Khan’s residence, waiting for Meadow to appear.
It was their wedding day.
His family members, Meadow’s new friends, and a few of their friends from Nyx’s Kingdom sat in chairs, dressed up and smiling, looking at the door, eager for the ceremony to begin.
Meadow had said yes to their proposal. And since the only way Khan would allow Laurie and Joseph to take her back to the vampire territory was to wed her, they’d all readily agreed.
Over the last week, Khan had interrogated the traitors and found out that Helena’s ex-fiancé had been the leader.
He’d taken her rejection seriously, and when approached by the French vampires and offered a large sum of money, had rushed to recruit as many people as possible.
Not only to get revenge on Helena, but also to betray Khan, who’d refused to side with the ex over the broken marriage promise.
Unlike humans, fae witch females had nearly equal rights in London—especially for those with powers as strong as Helena Watts.
The fae witch Dark Lord was also tracking down those who’d used their forbidden dark arts on the traitors to circumvent the protection spells and trigger traps.
Khan had assured Laurie that the same hexes wouldn’t work on his residence since the protection spells were older, far more powerful, and the building held other secrets he couldn’t reveal.
There was more behind the festival attacks, Laurie was sure of it, but Khan wasn’t sharing.
Well, at least with the public, or Laurie and Joseph.
No doubt Leo knew more of the truth. However, if there were a threat to any of them, Leo would keep them updated.
Just as he’d revealed the trap at the Fated Wheel had been successful, and Leo would share more after his, Joseph’s, and Meadow’s marriage.
Until then, he’d have to trust his brother with all the politics and strategizing and spying.
Music began playing, and Laurie pushed everything else out of his mind as Meadow appeared in the doorway.
His heart skipped a beat at how gorgeous she was. Her dress hugged her breasts before flaring outward. Her hair was twisted up, highlighting the ear cuffs he and Joseph had given her.
But it was her smile that was breathtaking. When combined with the love shining in her eyes, he couldn’t believe how lucky he was that she would be their wife.
And to think they’d nearly lost her.
Joseph took his hand and squeezed, as if thinking the same thing and needing to reassure himself as much as Laurie.
She never took her gaze from either him or Joseph, and sooner than he expected, she stood between them. Then the three of them formed a circle, clasping hands, and the officiant began speaking.
“We’re gathered here today to join these three in marriage, to bond them with the law as much as they are already bonded together in love. If anyone objects to this union, then speak now or forever hold your peace.”
Silence. Thankfully, nothing but silence.
The ceremony proceeded, and Laurie barely noticed anything apart from the feel of Meadow and Joseph’s hands in his. Well, and the bit where they all exchanged rings.
Far too soon the fae witch officiant declared them a marriage triad, husbands and wife, and the three of them gave a quick three-way kiss.
The more passionate version would happen later in the bedroom, when Laurie and Joseph finally claimed Meadow with their fangs and cocks.
He and Joseph each offered Meadow an arm before heading back down the aisle, and everyone cheered. Laurie’s heart thudded, and he willed himself not to cry. He was happy, so unbelievably happy, to the point he felt he’d burst.
Once they were in the hallway, he and Joseph guided Meadow to a shielded corner and held her between them. Oh, they still had to sit through a celebratory feast. But he just wanted to hold his husband and wife close, and revel in them being together.
Of them beginning the future he’d always dreamed of.
Meadow had never wanted their private moment of holding each other to end. In Laurie and Joseph’s arms, and with them in hers, she felt safe. Whole. Complete.
And loved. So thoroughly loved.
However, Yesenia and River eventually found them and herded them to their wedding reception being held down the hall.
Somehow she endured the next few hours of congratulations and toasts and dances.
Even though their wedding was a small affair, she didn’t care.
Her siblings and new in-laws were there, as were Helena’s and Nadia’s families.
Even a few familiar faces from Nyx’s Kingdom, such as Frank and Susanna, had been allowed to attend.
Khan had made a brief appearance, merely nodding his approval and wishing them well, before returning to the task of finding those who’d financed Helena’s ex and the other traitors.
The depth of betrayal from their fellow fae witches had rocked the territory and its people.
The only good thing to come from it all was that they now viewed Leo as an ally instead of a threat.
Meadow was glad, although the next few weeks would be too hectic for her to think much about Leo and Khan’s alliance.
Between being newly married and planning on how to better protect Nyx’s Kingdom and those they cared about, she, Laurie, and Joseph would be busy.
And while she hadn’t forgotten about the unknown threats to any of them, they’d all agreed that for today, their wedding, they would have fun, live in the present, and make memories to last a lifetime.
As Laurie and Joseph escorted her off the dance floor for the fourth or fifth time, she couldn’t stop smiling.
Sure, her feet hurt and her hair had started to fall out of its pins, but she was happy.
Her family was here, her new friends, and ever since waking up from her burnout, she’d never had a problem controlling her powers.
Almost as if the internal fear and mental blocks had vanished once she’d helped capture the traitors.
Laurie and Joseph guided her toward the door. She glanced at one of her husbands and then the other as she asked, “Where are we going now?”
Joseph smiled. “Where do you think?”
She glanced over her shoulder. “Shouldn’t we say goodbye or something?”
Laurie shook his head. “Let them celebrate and enjoy themselves. If we formally take our leave, they might feel obligated to stop.”
She arched an eyebrow. “I’m sure that’s the main reason.”
He grinned. “It’s part of the reason, at least.”
Joseph chuckled. “Believe it or not, I’m the one who suggested we sneak out, not Laurie.”
Meadow replied, “He’s being a bad influence on you, Joseph.”
Laurie said, “Now, now, be nice. It’s our wedding day. Besides, you’ve been eager for the claiming as much as we have, Emmy. And you were the one to suggest waiting until the wedding, which was ridiculous considering we’ve pleasured you many times over by this point.”
She lifted her chin. “It wasn’t because I was a prude or anything. River suggested that if I waited until today, then I would be strong enough to have you both bite me at once.”
Joseph ran a hand down her back until he could possessively grip her butt. “Oh, really? And here I thought River would rather you remain chaste forever than imagine you with us.”
She scrunched her nose. “Ew, no, my brother wasn’t thinking of that. But he knows how important claimings are for vampires, and despite his grumblings, he likes the pair of you.”
Laurie wrapped an arm around her shoulders. “How about we stop discussing your brother and walk faster? Khan gave us a room with magically imbued walls, so no one will hear anything, and I’m eager to unwrap my bride.”
“Are you going to happy-cry or something, as you unwrap me?” She teased.
Laurie stuck out his tongue. “No, pet. More like you’ll be screaming our names.”
A rush of heat shot through her. “Yes, please.”
Joseph chuckled. “Don’t worry, we’ll take care of you, love.”
They arrived at the door of their honeymoon suite, and Meadow reached for the door handle. However, Joseph stepped in front of her and shook his head. “No, we’ll carry you.”
Before she could say a word, Joseph swept her into his arms and walked into the room. Once the door was closed, Laurie took her into his arms and carried her to a large bedroom off to the side.
As he slowly put her down, Joseph stood behind Laurie, his gaze heated, as he ran his hands down Laurie’s chest to his crotch. Watching Laurie suck in a breath only made Meadow hotter.
Maybe later, or tomorrow, she’d tease and play and ask them to take it slow. But staring at Laurie’s fangs and then Joseph’s, her core pulsed. She wanted to feel a vampire’s bite; the ones when she’d been unconscious didn’t count.
She turned around. “Help me out of this dress quickly. And no, that doesn’t mean rip it off. I want to keep it.”
Laurie moved in front of her and started plucking the pins out of her hair while Joseph undid the buttons at her back. The dress fell down, her hair cascaded over her shoulders, and the pair made quick work of her undergarments.
In record time, she stood naked, with both of her husbands caressing her body and making her ache for more than their fingers.
Laurie kissed her as Joseph removed his hands, and clothes flew to the floor. Then he turned her toward him, as Laurie did the same.
Once they were all naked, Meadow stepped back to admire one male and then the other before sighing contentedly. “I’m so lucky.”
Joseph chuckled. “As are we. Ready for the claiming, love?”
She twirled before jumping onto the bed. “Ready!”
They both grinned at her. But as soon as they crawled onto the mattress and kneeled to either side of her, her smile faded as her heart raced.
Joseph traced her cheek, her jaw, and then ran his finger up and down her neck. “I can’t wait to taste your sweet blood, Emmy. The small taste from when we helped you during your burnout has made me crave more every hour of every day.”
As his finger continued to caress her, Laurie kissed the other side of her neck before running his fang across her skin, but never breaking it.
He murmured, “Tell us we can start. I promise we’ll tease and draw out every touch and orgasm later.
But right now? I want to taste you, pet. Taste your blood again.”
They each cupped one of her breasts and tweaked a nipple. Meadow sucked in a breath before replying, “Yes, please. We have the rest of our lives to explore and tease and be adventurous. Right now, I just want both of you inside me and to finally feel your fangs in my skin.”
Joseph released her breast and played with her core. “Nice and wet for us, love.” He lay on his back and then stroked his dick. Slowly.
Meadow licked her lips, more than ready to claim her vampire as much as he wanted to claim her.
Joseph stated, “Come here, love. Take me inside you.”
She moved to straddle Joseph’s hips, and then slowly lowered onto his long, hard cock. She sucked in a breath once she finally took him to the hilt.
Laurie was behind her, ran his hands up Joseph’s legs and paused to caress his hips before moving his fingers to Meadow’s clit. Laurie nuzzled her neck as he murmured, “Let’s put your training to good use, pet.”
She leaned forward, and Laurie caressed her rosebud with his thumb coated in something slick. He toyed with her hole, and thanks to their Victorian sex toys and some practice, she easily relaxed as he played with her.
Joseph kissed her as Laurie continued to massage her. Then his thumb was gone, and he gently pushed his cock inside her.
Bit by bit he filled her, until he was fully inside her ass, and Meadow groaned. The two of them together pushed her to the limit, and yet it felt good. So damn good.
Laurie caressed her shoulder as Joseph lifted a hand to touch Laurie’s face.
For nearly a minute, they lay there, entwined and touching, until Meadow relaxed and was used to them both inside her.
Joseph grunted. “Nearly there, love. Let’s get you closer to la petite mort and then we’ll claim you with our fangs as well.”
She nodded, and both Laurie and Joseph started a rhythm that almost felt like too much, and yet, so, so good.
The pleasure built, little by little, until she was moaning and asking them to go faster, and then her orgasm crashed over her. Wave after wave, so intense she thought maybe she would die.
Then she felt Laurie lean down just as Joseph lifted his head, and they both sank their fangs into her neck, and an even more intense orgasm shot through her.
She screamed, arching as much as she could between them, and just as she started to feel a little lightheaded, they released her neck and licked the wounds closed.
She collapsed, and the males both breathed heavily. Laurie lay on her back, bracing most of his weight on his hands on the bed, and Joseph had wrapped his arms around her and Laurie.
They lay like that for at least a minute, until Laurie finally pulled out of her. Too boneless to move, she allowed him to use a warm washcloth on her before guiding her off of Joseph and cleaning her yet again with a fresh one.
Then Laurie and Joseph held her between them and snuggled under the blanket.
She wanted to say something, but all she could manage was, “Mmm.”
Laurie chuckled before kissing her forehead. “You have about as much energy as I do, pet.”
She snuggled more against them both and yawned. “I love you both, and we’re far from done, but I need a nap after that.”
Joseph’s voice was tinged with worry as he asked, “Did we take too much blood?”
“No, I don’t think so. It’s been a long day, though, and after that orgasm, I need some time to recover. And you’re both so warm that I can’t keep my eyes open.”
Joseph nuzzled her cheek. “Sleep, Emmy.”
“Tell me first.”
She felt his smile against her skin. “I love you, Emmy. And I love you, Laurie.”
Laurie held them both a little tighter. “I love you, Emmy. And I love you, Joseph.”
She smiled and sighed. “Now, let’s sleep, and we’ll celebrate some more afterward.”
And as Meadow drifted off, she barely remembered how this ending had really started in her bedroom back in the future, when she’d had to fend off intruders and run for her life.
Little had she known that she’d been running toward her future and the happy ending she’d never thought she would have.
