Chapter 26 #4
“Okay…” Why is it going to be painful at all?
Leon chuckles to himself as he backs out and drives to the edge of the lot, waits for Dimitri to follow then pulls out. “You are adorable when you’re anxious.”
I frown but don’t say anything.
Rune picking up on every single emotion was one thing, he’s my scent match like Dimitri, it’s expected and there’s a different level of awareness there.
Liv and I spent a lot of time together before we realized we had a soul bond.
I always figured that was why we can read each other so well, and I really believe that’s a big part of it, but I might be wrong about scent matches being the only ones in tune with each other.
Apparently soul bonds don’t play around either.
“Before I hit you with my plan, I want you to know, it was concocted with the best of intentions.” Leon reaches over and pats my knee before he rests his hand there. “The best of intentions, and the pressing need to get all six of us naked and fucking as soon as possible.”
I laugh despite the way I blush. “You just put it all right out there, don’t you?”
Leon hesitates for a split second, a moment that goes by almost too quickly for me to notice, but I do. I notice the way he almost winces at what I said, and I can tell he wants to take his hand away because of it.
“It’s not a bad thing,” I say as I take his hand in both of mine and keep it on my leg. “Not at all. It’s been a while since I’ve talked to anyone without a filter other than Liv, and I appreciate it. It makes things easier, especially when you’re getting to know someone.”
He relaxes as he smiles. “Between you and me, it’s hard to get a total read on that.”
“I figured.”
“It might be hard to believe, but not everyone appreciates my way with words. Especially when they’re fueled by a machine that might be missing a few cogs, and have a couple too many screws loose.”
I give his hand another squeeze as I smile, looking down at how nice the tattoo on the back of his looks against the ones on mine. “You’re perfect for us, then.”
He tightens his hold then proceeds to render me speechless.
“I think you need to make Dimitri crawl, and you need to do it immediately.”
My eyes snap to his as he laughs. “What?”
“Crawl, baby. Hands and knees, the whole deal.”
“Not that I completely disagree, but, well, have you met him?”
“I’ve been tracking him for months,” Leon says as we make a left then a right onto a dirt road. “I know how that fucker is. I still think you need to make him crawl.”
“Okay. I’m listening.” I listen all the way to Styx’s farmhouse, then deep into the woods behind it, and keep listening until Liv and Dimitri get out of his truck, bickering away, and join us at the vats of lye and sulfuric acid.
“Do I want to know how you got your hands on all of this?” Our girl asks as she crosses her arms against her chest. “Or why you have so much?”
“I’ve been a little murdery since D decided to plant roots out here.” Leon produces a pair of gloves for each of us then puts on his own. “He’s a very popular guy.”
“I’m D to you now?”
Leon grins at Dimitri then plants a quick kiss on his lips. “For now. Might call you big D in a little while.”
Liv and I both laugh as we watch our alphas get to work, exchanging playful jabs as they open the industrial size barrels. We help, too, once they start unrolling tarps, the two of us dropping bodies into vats right along with them so we can once again move things along.
My heart starts to race as we finish, Leon’s plan running through my mind as we walk back to the barn and head up to the apartment over it.
It’s nice, clean, and very simple. It’s relatively minimal since it’s only temporary for Styx. I guess he’s going to speed up the renovations on the farmhouse since he’s hoping the six of us will live there together.
It surprised me some to hear that, even though it shouldn’t have.
Leon said he and Styx have been planning and mapping things out since the day Rune, Liv, and I applied at Knotted Obsessions, and since connections and bonds have been confirmed, the timeline has been moved up.
Moved up so we can all move in.
The one hundred and fifty year old farmhouse is deceptively big.
Eight bedrooms, four bathrooms, two living rooms, an office and library space, a formal dining room, breakfast nook, and a chef’s kitchen.
There’s also an attic and basement, but I got distracted as soon as Leon told me about the kitchen because, eating disorder or not, I would love to be able to cook for my pack in something like that.
He said Styx likes to cook, too, which only further distracted me.
The idea of cooking for our pack together turned kind of raunchy, and it didn’t help when Leon said that we can each have our own room for hobbies or whatever if we wanted, and the dogs will get to decide if they want their own spaces, too, but the expectation is for the six of us to share a bedroom they’re going to have to have built to accommodate.
For sleeping and fucking, as he so eloquently put it.
I pictured all six of us in bed together and if we hadn’t pulled up to the dump site right when that happened, I would be rocking a terrible case of blue balls right now.
Walking through Styx’s apartment, waiting as each of us shower off the blood and other things we’ve been covered in, I might be dealing with that problem anyway if I don’t go through with Leon’s plan.
I’m not sure I could if I didn’t think Liv would be ok with it.
She was right when she said her and I are the heart of this pack.
I don’t know why, or how really, but the way we need each other, the way we depend on each other makes me believe her theory. And all of our mates seem to agree in one way or another.
So, I’m going to give it the old college try when it comes to this evil scheme.
Dimitri is in the shower, and Liv is talking to Leon about it right now.
He intentionally put all of our clothes in the wash about five minutes after D got in, then told us we were going to have to wear towels even though Liv and I could fit into Styx’s clothes and Leon has some D could wear.
Part of the plan, apparently.
Now, I’m pacing back and forth in our beta’s apartment, wearing nothing but a towel around my waist while I wait for my mates to join me.
“You’re okay with this?” Liv asks as she walks out of the hallway, right up to me and cups my cheeks. “You’re good with this being how you get your answers?”
I nod as I cover her hands with mine. “I really am. I’m nervous, but I’m kind of excited, and I really want to know what the fuck happened.”
She pushes up on her bare toes and kisses me slowly, smiling against my lips as I pull her against me. “That’s exactly what we’re going to do.”
“That, and hopefully fuck like rabbits,” Leon says as he walks in, completely naked and already half hard. “I had no idea murder and body disposal were such aphrodisiacs for me. If I don’t get inside someone soon, I’ll be forced to sit here and jerk off in front of you.”
Jesus Christ, he’s pierced.
Nipples, bellybutton, and a Jacob's ladder that goes down to his knot.
Considering the fact that Liv and I both perfumed the second we saw him, I think it’s safe to say he’s not going to have to resort to any kind of self care tonight.
Especially when he comes over to us, slides a hand up each of our necks and into our hair, then kisses each of us in a way that has me slicking already.
“Mhm,” Leon mumbles against Liv’s lips as I fight to catch my breath. “This is going to be good.”
“Styx and Rune,” she says breathily as he walks us toward the couch. “They know, and they’re okay with this?”
He nods as he sits then pats his thighs for her to do the same. “I made sure to ask when I told Red about the bloodbath at KO.”
Liv backs onto his lap but keeps her towel on as she wraps her arms around his neck. “I just want to make sure everyone knows everything before…”
“Before we’re official,” I say as I get on the floor and sit with my back against the couch between Leon’s knees.
I cannot even begin to describe how relieved I am hearing that from her.
She might have only nodded her response, but that was enough.
Liv wants to solidify bonds, she wants us to be an official pack, and we can go at her pace if I know that hasn’t changed.
“What the fuck happened to all the towels?”
I look toward the hallway as Dimitri stomps into the living room, cupping his junk in his hands because Leon made sure there wasn’t even a washcloth for him to use.
My heart races as he slowly comes toward us, his butterscotch bourbon so strong as his stare moves from me to Liv to Leon and back again.
“What’s going on?”
I settle a little as my girl repositions her knees on either side of my shoulders, her legs between them and Leon’s thighs. I lift my hands to her calves, calming myself further as I let my fingers walk up and down her smooth skin and watch Dimitri stop in front of me.
“Call this your intervention, Volkov,” Liv says as she starts playing with my hair. “A come to Jesus moment, if you will.”
Anger flashes in his bright blue eye briefly and I can see the exact moment he scents, not just my slick, but Liv’s, too.
“Is that so?” Dimitri licks his lips and takes a step forward, hands still over his dick but I don’t have to see it to know he’s getting hard. He tries to take another but doesn’t get to, not when my girl is the one in charge.
“Stop,” she says firmly and he does, almost as if she alpha-barked at him. “You don’t get to come closer yet.”
Dimitri’s nostrils flare as he lets a low growl rumble through his chest, but he waits.
“On your knees in front of my omega.”
My bonded alpha narrows his stare on Liv briefly before he looks me in the eye and slowly, almost too slowly, lowers himself to the floor and follows her command.
