Chapter 3

Juliana thinks she has a choice in what to do with her life but she doesn’t. It all belongs to me. Her name, her will to live and her everything else, it’s all mine.

Cassius drives off with both of us in the car and I know he wants to say something but he won’t.

Carmen was his sister so he won’t want to defend Juliana, she has no one in her corner and I’m fine with that.

Her family isn’t speaking to her even though they’re all alive and well.

I know all her business no matter what she says because she can’t lie to me and that’s exactly how i want it to be.

Juliana sighs as she holds onto the bag that she left the prison with.

“Where the fuck are the rest of your belongings?” I ask.

“I didn’t bring anything else with me. This is all I had.” She answers in a hushed tone as if she’s an innocent woman.

There’s nothing innocent about her, just that she’s a heartless bitch who couldn’t even rescue my wife or kid out of the damn car. There’s no excuses that she can give me.

“And that’s all you’re about to go in with.” I say.

She does this slight huff as if she wants to add some bite to her bark. I dare her to.

“Please…” she begs.

“What are you begging for, Juli?” I call her name as if it’s a curse on my lips.

She turns to face me and those big brown eyes look up at me. “Please.” She says again letting the hushed word leave her plush lips. “Please let me go and I’ll disappear. I’ll never appear in front of you again. Ever.”

I reach out, grabbing her jaw hard. “You listen to me and listen very well. You don’t have a choice as to what you can do.

I own you, Juliana Hart. Everything on you belongs to me.

Your body, your very wicked soul that drove you to murder my wife and kid, I own that too.

Even the air that I let you breathe on borrowed time is mine.

I am your reason for breathing, do you understand? ”

“Mmm.” She says with trembling fear that eggs me on. Her eyes grow wet with unshed tears and I lift my brow challenging her to cry.

“When I ask you something you answer me with words, wife.”

“Yes, yes, I understand.” She answers.

“What do I own, Juli?”

“Me.” She answers as her tears fall down her face.

“And you crying doesn’t do anything for me.

Cry all you want, Juli, it means nothing to me.

I am going to be that devil that you thought you’d never meet.

I will drag you to hell, make sure you get drenched in the lake of sulfur and then drag you back out of hell to face the next day on earth.

” I point to her temple. “Always. Remember. That.”

Once we get to the estate, there are reporters that are huddled up in front of the large black gates with the Crowne last name.

“Shit.” Cassius curses. “I told Nina to take care of it and make sure that there was no stopping us from getting in.”

“It’s fine. Bernard sees us. I told him to make sure Ricky doesn’t see any of this. He doesn’t need to be in front of the media at all.”

As soon as I say that, the gates open up and Cassius drives in. My hand lifts and grabs her jaw again making her face me. “You don’t walk alongside me. You listen to the instructions I give you on how to walk with me. Are we clear?”

“Yes.”

Good. She’s not stupid. I hate stupid people who don’t think about anything else.
