Chapter 4
FOUR
After Klae left, Kim dropped her purse on a couch and took her time exploring. The small forested area with the pool was simply enchanting. She then took off her shoes and dipped her toes in the water.
Oh, it was warm. Sweet aromas came up from the steam, beckoning her to slip inside. She had three hours before her “date” with Klae. With a quick glance around, which was silly because no one was there, she stripped off her clothes and laid them on the ground.
She gingerly pried the V-link off her ear and placed it on a rock. It wouldn’t do to ruin that thing. It looked expensive, and she didn’t know if it was waterproof. Despite the sudden change in her financial situation, she would always be frugal.
With a groan of bliss, she stepped into the lovely pool and sank down to her neck. Warm water wrapped around her. Her feet slid over the smooth glowing stones.
With a happy sigh, she floated on her back and skinny-dipped for the first time in her life.
It felt scandalous, decadent, and ridiculously freeing.
If you’re spending a couple weeks in a fantasy world, why not go all out?
Maybe there were a few more “firsts” to be had on this ship.
Her toes curled at the thought of Klae, sauntering to the edge of the pool, shrugging out of his vest, peeling off those tight pants, sliding into the warm water and pulling her into his arms…
Kim let out a shaky breath. Her hand moved between her legs and slid between the swollen folds there.
Pleasure slid through her as her hand found the familiar rhythm her body craved.
She stiffened as pleasure rolled through her, but she wanted more.
Her body wanted more. She tipped her head back against the edge of the pool, spread her legs and imagined it was him stroking her needy pussy, squeezing her sensitive clit.
She could imagine his thick fingers pushing inside her, getting her ready for the deep thrust of his cock; the scrape of his long, blue tail over her thigh, the hard length of his cock working her insides until she screamed his name, and he shot his cum inside her.
Kim arched her back and did just as she imagined. The bubbling water and the swaying trees swallowed her cry. She orgasmed violently, jerkily rubbing her pussy. Pleasure and need and an aching hunger pulsed through every line of her body.
She panted out the ebbing waves of sensation. It felt good, of course. It always did. But there was an emptiness, too. She wanted a real cock between her legs—not an imaginary one, or the battery-powered one she had at home. She wanted Klae.
Having him wasn’t a given. Time would tell on that one. Kim got out of the pool and cleared her head by exploring the suite. If she didn’t snap out of it, she wouldn’t be ready when Klae came to pick her up.
She gaped at the size of the bathroom, which was about the same as her entire cottage.
Deep gold and copper tiles wrapped the room.
As if she needed another pool, a large circular bathtub sunk into the floor and a complicated-looking shower system appeared to be located inside a huge, vertical clear tube.
Kim stepped inside and poked around at the controls—which someone had calibrated for English.
She found a cleansing oil mist, closed her eyes and turned it on.
The high-powered blast was more forceful than she expected, but it left her skin feeling silky and smelling like heaven. Totally worth it.
Next, she went to the wardrobe. She opened it and blinked at a wild array of garments in fabrics and colors that boggled her mind. Her own clothes were there, looking drab beside flowing dresses, jumpsuits and outfits.
As if anyone could resist this. She ran a hand over them, feeling the fine material between her fingers.
They weren’t on hangers, but some sort of invisible dress forms. She stopped at a blue gossamer dress that looked like a cascade of water.
Her hand lingered on it, and apparently that was the wardrobe’s signal that she had made a choice.
The dress slid out from the wardrobe and hovered, draped perfectly on its transparent dress form that matched Kim’s figure precisely.
She let it go and stepped back. It had the unnerving look of an invisible woman standing there. The dress slowly rotated, giving her a complete view of it.
“Okaaaay,” Kim drawled. “I’ll take this one.”
The dress stopped moving. Kim touched it again, and the dress dropped into her hands, soft and fluid.
“Weird,” she muttered, pulling it on. No surprise that it fit perfectly.
She turned before a set of mirrors, pleased with how it made her look.
It never occurred to Kim to buy something like this.
Where would she wear it—the gas station or grocery store?
A soft vibration moved through the wardrobe and a selection of three pairs of shoes slid out of a compartment.
There were simple flats in the same blue as the dress, bold nude stilettos, and sparkling clear heels with thick soles and a sky-high platform heel.
She instinctively reached for the flats, then paused.
No. Today she would be bold. But not too bold.
She went for the stilettos—elegant, but not over the top.
She left her hair long and loose. Just as she was doubting the wisdom of the high heels, a chime sounded at her door. She placed a hand over her nervous belly and pulled in a breath. Her dinner date was here.
She put a hand over her mouth but gurgled out some laughter. So, the guy she’d just masturbated to was ringing her doorbell. That didn’t happen every day, but hell, she’d put reality on the shelf the moment she agreed to get on that shuttle.
“Come in,” she called out, unsure if he could hear her or if the door would just do what she told it.
She found Klae standing inside the entrance.
He wore a dark gray vest that covered his chest but left his arms bare.
Tight leather pants matched the vest and ended in black boots.
His hair was damp. He looked ridiculously hot.
As she got closer, she could tell he smelled awesome.
It was just too many sensory happy buttons.
“Hi,” she said.
He stared at her, eyes darkening. The way he looked at her ratcheted up her heart rate even more and sent a rush of heat up her neck.
She picked up the edges of her skirt to give her hands something to do. “This dress was so beautiful, I couldn’t resist wearing it,” she said. “Thank you.”
“It pleases me to see you in the clothes I provided.” His voice was a low growl. “You look beautiful, Kim.” He held out a hand. “Are you ready?”
Ready for what? She looked at the long, capable hand extended to her. “Yes,” she said, placing her palm in his.
He led her from the room and through the corridors. His grasp was light and warm. He paused occasionally to point out different places and interesting parts of the ship he was clearly so proud of. He greeted crew members by name. They replied with ease and a familiarity that was impossible to miss.
“You know their names,” she murmured.
He peered down at her quizzically. “Of course, I do. They live here.”
She smiled, and they walked on until they arrived at a chamber.
Only a few pale lights illuminated the cavernous, high-arched ceiling.
Her heels clicked on the hard floor. She looked down and gasped.
Instead of opaque flooring, all she could see was the wide-open darkness of space, glittering with stars.
It was as if she stood on nothing at all.
Disoriented, she stumbled and tried to get her bearings.
He was there, arms sliding around her as he pulled her against his wide chest. Her hands found the thick fabric of his vest. She could feel the rapid beat of his heart against her own rapidly beating one. Through her disorientation, lust thrummed through her, making her breath quicken.
“You are safe,” he whispered above her ear. “The floor is meant to be beautiful, not terrifying.”
She relaxed, but didn’t let go of him. His hands tightened on her waist. He drew in a shaky breath. Chemistry churned between them, thick and electric and impossible to miss.
“That’s quite a floor,” she rasped. “This place is full of surprises.”
Full lips curved. “Can you take a few more?”
God, a rock couldn’t miss the innuendo. “I guess we’ll find out.” She broke eye contact. With a little more blood in her head and not…elsewhere, she would have replied with something wittier. Maybe.
He gestured towards a dining table and two chairs in the center of the room. “Shall we?”
They sat down and attendants began entering with trays of food. They weren’t Virilians, but some long, willowy beings with pale blue skin and solid, milk-white eyes. Kim watched as they slowly filled the table with amazing-smelling dishes.
A tray, crowded with tiny glasses filled with liquids of every color, was placed on one side of the table.
“These are wines of different planets,” explained Klae. “They will not taste like your wines, so sample until you find one you like.”
Kim tried a couple and settled on a sweet, purple drink that tasted citrusy and smelled like hibiscus. The attendant brought out a bottle of it and poured some into a narrow flute for her. She closed her eyes and sipped slowly, enjoying the exotic taste on her tongue.
“I have a surprise for you,” said Klae.
“What is it?” Before he could reply, the darkness of space below shifted to a bright, illuminating red. A massive red planet filled the view below her.
“Just look.” The ship lowered towards the planet. It eased through the thin atmosphere and descended close to the surface. Kim held her breath. The planet was no longer red, but the typical brownish gray of a rocky terrain with a pale blue sky.
“Seriously, where are we?” she asked. “This almost looks like Earth.”
“This is Mars,” he said. “Your neighboring planet.”
“Really? Why isn’t it red up close?”
