5. Octavia
OCTAVIA
Octavia watched that big hockey butt disappear out the door and threw herself back on the king-sized bed that occupied an otherwise sparsely furnished room.
The clock said it was after midnight, and she wondered how she was possibly going to drag herself out of here in time for work. The sound of Nathan returning made her immediately forget about life outside of this room, however. All her attention was on him and how he was about to make her feel.
She watched as he eased himself onto the bed and handed her a glass of water. Say what you want about semen, that shit’ll dry out your mouth real quick.
“Thank you,” she said between gulps. “I didn’t realize how thirsty I was.”
“Staying hydrated is important.” He smirked between sips of his own.
“So…” he started, turning to set his glass down on the side table and chuckling when Octavia was on him before he’d settled back against the headboard.
She arranged herself with her knees resting on either side of his hips, her centre aligning with his rebounding cock.
“So?” she repeated innocently as she gave her hips a little swivel, relishing the way his back arched and his hips rose to meet her.
She leaned forward, her hands travelling up his torso, her fingers dipping into the deep creases of muscle, tracing the oh-so-stereotypical Canadiana tattoos across his chest and down his left arm.
A wolf snarling, a maple leaf, a hockey stick with two dates, a forest scene wrapping around his wrist and rising up his forearm.
She’d never been with a guy this sculpted or tattooed.
Never thought she wanted to, but right now she was liking the view, a whole lot.
His abs flexed every time she changed her pattern, the tendons in his neck straining as he clenched his jaw.
“You’re cruel,” he breathed out when she slowed and dropped her hips, pressing into him and feeling the pulse of him against her.
“I’ve got an IUD but um, condoms?” she asked.
He blindly gestured to the side table and she stretched to open the drawer. There she found an unopened box that remained unopened for approximately zero point two seconds. She slid back along his thighs, ripped the condom open, and rolled it down his length.
“Ready?” she inquired, rising on her knees above him.
“I’ve somehow never been more ready and not ready enough,” he admitted as she lowered herself onto him so slowly she wasn’t sure she’d survive it.
She whimpered as he bottomed out, feeling more full than she’d ever felt in her life. She didn’t move for a couple beats, just allowed herself to adjust to him while studying the way his lips parted and his eyes closed for a second longer than a blink, as if trying to keep his composure.
“You’re going to kill me, Autumn.” He sighed, his hands landing on her hips, holding her against him, somehow filling her more.
She wondered again at the nickname, but then he moved and that’s all she could think about.
She rose and fell gently at first, gauging what his body was going to do to hers.
Nathan sat up, his mouth latching onto her nipple, and she gasped as he sucked and licked one before switching to the other side. Everything felt so good, every place they connected was fire and ice. When he finally kissed her again, she worked up the nerve to ask for what she wanted.
“Fuck me harder, please.” She wasn’t sure it sounded like she was pleading or praying. But she was on her back a split second later, and he was answering her call to action, his face set in a determined grimace.
When he stopped suddenly and pulled out, Octavia failed to hold in a drawn out whine, wondering how she’d ever survive the feeling of him not being inside of her.
Thankfully, he didn’t make her wait long as he flipped her over and hauled her up onto her knees before swiftly thrusting back inside.
The new angle brought a whole new sensation, and as her back pressed to his chest, he wrapped one hand around her neck to hold her in place, while the other slid down her body before pressing against her clit.
It was the sensation of total surrender that did something unexpected to her.
Scrambled her brain. Made her crave new like never before.
The pace was slow but every thrust would have sent her falling forward had he not had a hold on her.
“You feel so fucking good.” He growled against her neck, nipping and then soothing the sting with his tongue, making her pussy clench around his invading cock.
“Fucking Christ, Autumn, do that again, baby.” His teeth closed on her flesh again and her body reacted without her trying.
He rewarded her by pressing harder against her clit, her body tensing again, pushing back harder against him.
Octavia rolled her head to the side until his lips met hers, left hand curling into his hair, holding him to her.
He broke the kiss, wrapping his hand around her wrist before pushing her upper body down until her cheek met the duvet.
He took hold of her right wrist, crossing it with her left against her lower back.
“Hold them like that, sweetheart,” he commanded, moving his hands to her hips. “You sure you want it hard?”
“Yes,” she begged, the “s” lost in the whiny little moan she released because he was giving her what she’d asked for.
“Fuck,” Nathan said, his hips moving faster, the sound of his body slamming into hers becoming the only soundtrack she ever wanted to listen to again.
He kept up the pace for longer than she ever could have dreamed and when he announced he was close, he flipped her onto her back, slamming back in without a break and reaching between their bodies to touch her.
“Come on my cock, baby,” he murmured against her lips and to Octavia’s surprise and utter delight, she felt herself do just that.
“Good fucking girl.” Nathan practically sighed in relief when she came and she barely registered his pace faltering as he joined her with his mouth on the side of her neck.
Octavia woke to a warm body pressed against her back and a heavy arm around her waist. She squirmed back into him and he tightened his arm around her, murmuring something against her shoulder where his lips pressed against her skin.
“I have to go to work.” She sighed, wishing she could stay like this for the rest of the day.
“Play hooky,” he pleaded, tightening his grip and pulling her hips back into him, letting her feel what she’d be missing if she got out of bed now.
Octavia did not consider herself a wasteful person and to get up and leave now would be just that, wasteful.
“How big is your shower?” she asked, rolling over to face him.
“Definitely big enough to bend you over in.” He closed his fingers around her hips, dragging her onto him as he rolled onto his back. “Big enough to do all sorts of things with you.”
She gazed down at the man underneath her, he looked almost innocent in the morning light, his hair mussed from sleep and a night of sex. But she knew better. She drew his hands up so they cupped her breasts, arching into his touch as he squeezed his hands around her.
“Turn around,” he said, his voice a bit gruffer than it had been seconds ago. He wasn’t asking her to, he was telling her to, commanding her.
She slid her leg across his chest as gracefully as possible and the moment her knees touched the mattress, she felt herself being yanked back. Then his fingers were spreading her open and his mouth was on her, picking up where it had left off last night.
“You look…” Amanda studied Octavia from the doorway of her office. “Tired and somehow very refreshed. Sex with the hockey player?”
Octavia gave her friend a look that she hoped would shut her up, or at the very least have her wait until the door was firmly closed before she said anything else. Amanda stepped in and shut the door behind her.
“I am exhausted and sore and, I don’t know, high? I feel high, do I look high?” Amanda leaned closer and shook her head.
“No, I think that’s just the post good sex glow. Ugh, I cannot believe you walked out of the arena with the hottest player on the team your first time. Like who does that?”
Octavia smirked back. “Me, obviously.” She laughed, shaking her head. “I told you we met the other night. I literally never thought I’d see him again and then he was just”—she gestured in front of herself—“right there, all hockey playery, and toothless.”
“Did he not show you his teeth the other night?”
“No, he had a full mouth. He told me they were the best money could buy, I just didn’t think he meant that literally.”
“So, are you going to see him again?”
Octavia looked down at her phone. He’d told her he wanted to see her again, but she had been overwhelmed with guilt when she’d been scrolling through her photos and came across a couple Blaze94 had sent. She’d spent the commute to the office revisiting their conversations.
She knew he had an older brother and sister, that his father was out of the picture and his mom was amazing, though she had a tendency to hover, especially with him as he was the youngest. She’d shared about her family and her desire to have one of her own one day despite being terrified about what that meant for her career, something she wanted just as much, even if it wasn’t at her current firm.
He’d laughed and told her he’d stay home with the kids because he owned his company and could work from anywhere.
Blaze94 was funny, kind, and smart. She’d felt an immediate connection through their messages.
Nathan, on the other hand, made her scream, forget her name, and reevaluate what she thought she knew about her own pleasure.
He’d listened to her wants, deciphered her needs, and even made her laugh a couple of times.
But their conversations had mainly been about what classified something as a sandwich and that wasn’t exactly something you could build a relationship on.
He was also a hockey player and she knew enough about what that meant just from growing up in Toronto.
Every guy she went to school with who had skill on the ice had been a fuckboy.
It didn’t seem to matter what he looked like either.
If he was good with a puck he could get anything he wanted, and to hell with accountability and consequences.
Nathan didn’t just have the skill and a good paycheque, he had the looks that made him a hot commodity.
The last thing Octavia wanted was to constantly wonder if he was hooking up with some random in another city.
Besides, he hadn’t said he wanted anything beyond seeing her again.
He was probably thinking the same thing, the sex was good and he’d like to revisit it.
“I don’t know yet, it’s just sex.”
Amanda stared back for long enough that Octavia got squirmy.
“Just sex has led to many long-lasting relationships, my friend. Don’t you remember Ryan?
” Ryan was Amanda’s ex. They’d dated all through law school and then through their first two years at rival firms. It wasn’t the rival firms that ended it, it was Ryan’s job offer in Vancouver that did.
“I know,” Octavia said, sitting up straighter and fussing with her blazer.
“But with Nathan and I right now, it really is just sex. I’m not thinking of anything other than how good—” she stopped dead when she saw Amanda leaning forward eagerly.
Nathan was a public figure and even though Amanda was her friend, she wasn’t going to go into much detail beyond what she’d already said.
“He’s a good time and a nice enough guy, but I don’t know him and he doesn’t know me, not really.
” He knew the sounds she made when she came or when his stubble brushed her inner thigh.
But he didn’t know her favourite colour or what she liked in her coffee.
Blaze94 already knew those things and she stupidly hadn’t deleted him yet, holding out hope he’d respond. “It’s just sex, Amanda.”
