RAIN

Chapter fifteen

Ihave to admit, Indie Aston is a fucking good ballerina.

Rome shifts in his seat beside me, probably still with a little cum wetting him.

I’ve never seen a more beautiful sight than Rome Aston’s face when he comes.

He tried to get up to go to the restroom, but I threatened to make him cum all over his pants and the seat if he tried to leave.

I enjoy knowing he’s sitting there feeling wet because of me.

I want more. I can’t get enough of him.

The music fades as the curtains draw closed, signalling intermission. Sticking my fingers in my mouth, I let out a loud whistle while the crowd claps.

“Christ,” Rome mutters, running a frustrated hand down his still-red face.

I know it’s risky to be here with him, but, fuck, I can’t not be here.

I want Rome to understand I will support everything he does, as well as his sisters.

His parents, on the other hand—I’ll make them feel like shit, for making him feel like shit.

Now, I can understand others’ values and traditional stances.

However, Rome is their child, and from what I’ve seen, they have made no attempt to understand him and his sexuality.

While I don’t expect them to shout it to the world, not belittling him is a good start.

Any time his parents spoke a word in that restaurant, his entire demeanour deflated, like they threw the weight of the world on him and didn’t give a single fuck that it crushed him.

“Stay here,” Rome whispers.

Nope, won’t be doing that.

Kilah snickers as I let her pass and then follow behind. “I’m a friend,” I say quietly in her ear. “Got it?”

She hums her understanding, extending her pinkie over her shoulder. I hook mine around it and shake.

“What are you, five?” Rome grumbles, throwing a glare over his shoulder.

Filing out into the foyer with the crowd, Kilah races away.

“Kilah,” Rome calls.

She spins, throwing her arms up. “I’m going to the toilet.” Long, blond curls whip as she spins back around, almost tripping in her heels.

I turn my gaze back to Rome. He looks so fucking good—right now, always. Rome Aston is a god I will happily get on my knees and pray to.

I tilt my head, his cheeks flush from pink to red under my stare. “Want me to lick you c—”

“Stop,” he interrupts. “I’m going to the bathroom. Do not follow me.”

“Move!” Blade’s voice booms, and I snap my gaze towards the door.

The chatter of the crowd dissipates as he storms toward me in his usual black jeans, t-shirt, and leather jacket. We’ve made a deal to inform one another of where we’re going when we leave the house, but I did not expect him to physically show up here.

A woman gasps as he barrels past her. Terrified eyes lock on mine, and if there’s an expression I’ve never witnessed from Blade, it’s terror.

I step toward him. Now visibly clear of others, his trembling hand reaches for my nape. “Jesus, what the fuck?” I try to pull from his hold, but to no avail.

I’m pulled out the door, down the path, and around the corner toward the parking lot. His hand releases, only for me to be thrown back against the brick wall.

Motherfucker.

His shaking hands grip my shoulders, and his brows drop in utter pain. “She tried to commit suicide,” his voice cracks.

My heart falls. “Wh-what?”

“I need to go to LA. Aaron won’t let me leave unless you’re there to make sure I don’t try to kidnap her or some shit.”

“Wait, how? Wh-what?”

“Pills.” He shakes me as though I should already understand. “She took so many fucking pills, and she was foaming at the mouth. I-I went to sleep. My back was killing me. I woke up to watch her and—sh-she—was…”

I grip his face, hardening my stare. “I’ll go.” He shakes in my hold, his pained eyes searching mine, like I have the conformation he needs that she’s okay. “You called the paramedics?”

He nods. “I don’t have audio. They took her away, but I—I don’t know if she’s…”

“Dad will call Dr Illya and get conformation.”

“I already fucking told him to do that, Rain!”

Even with conformation she’s alive, his staggered breaths and soul shattering demeanour tell me all I need to know. Unless he witnesses her breathing with his own two eyes, he won’t believe she’s okay.

“Rain?” Rome’s soft voice whispers. “Are you okay?”

I release Blade and he me.

Rome takes a hesitant step closer, searching my body in the dim wall light shining above me. I blink, a tear rolling onto my cheek.

I’m crying?

“Did he hurt you?” Rome questions, glancing at Blade.

“Fuck off,” Blade spits. “This doesn’t concern you.”

I push Blade away, pointing to the parking lot. “Don’t fucking speak to him like that. Just go. I’m right behind you.”

“Like fuck,” Blade steps to me again, and I hate that I need to look up at him.

Six-foot-six fucking giant. “Get in my fucking car. Now,” he says through gritted teeth, the blue of his eyes almost completely invaded by his dark pupils.

“I’m not wasting a second at a red light or for some fucker crossing the road. ”

“Fine, just go. I’m coming.” The painful scream he releases hits my gut as his fist pounds into the wall. “I’m sorry,” I apologise, turning back to Rome. “I’ll try to make it back for your game, but I need to go. Give my flowers to Indie, say they’re from you or whoever.”

He nods tensely. “Who is he talking about?”

“Alexa.”

“Your ex?”

“You stalked me? That’s cute.”

His face falls. “Your brother is watching your ex?”

“It’s complicated.”

His toned chest strains against his shirt as I close the distance between us and look past him to confirm the area is empty. Not surprisingly, very few ever follow Blade when he throws someone from a room.

Rome stiffens and promptly attempts to retreat when I cup his cheeks and softly press my lips to his. “I’ll be back,” I whisper against them.

“Rain!” Blade yells.

Chilled air flows over my lips as I back away. “You’ll beat them this weekend. You’re Rome fucking Aston. Start acting like it.”

He doesn’t smile like I thought he would; he simply drops his head with a shy nod.

“Okay, thank you,” Dad says, hanging up the phone as we step onto his apartment balcony, the London Eye shining against the dark night only a few blocks away. “She’s okay.”

“I’m going,” Blade informs him calmly.

Dad’s expression doesn’t change as he nods once. “You take Rain and Kieran.”

Kieran stands a few feet away, smoking a cigarette. Kieran and Dad have been best friends since high school, and Kieran became an uncle figure to me. He’s Dad’s main security guard and resides one floor below.

“Why the fuck do you think I picked him up on the way here?” Blade fires back. “Call the pilots and have them at the hangar. Now.”

Blade lost the privilege of having the pilot’s phone numbers less than a week into being here. He called them day and night, attempting to bribe them with extraordinary amounts to get them to take him to LA, but, without conformation from Dad, the jets don’t leave the ground.

Dad arches a brow, gaze locked on Blade’s.

Blade matches his expression. “I’m certain I didn’t stutter.”

“You do not speak to her,” Dad warns.

Blade growls, turning away. I drop myself on the lounge and take my cigarettes from my jacket pocket to light one while fisting the handkerchief.

Blade turns and slides his hands into his jean pockets. “If I agree to not talk to her, will you call them?”

“Yes.”

“Then you have my word. Call.”

I believe Dad is so frustrated with Blade because he sees himself in his Headache. Dad can be ruthless, and he’s intelligent enough to know when to use it. Blade’s similar but lacks control. He’s been working on it, but where Alexa is concerned, it’s best you run.

While they enjoy watching blood pour from people, I prefer to reveal my victims’ secrets to the world so I can watch their life unravel.

Dad makes the call, ordering Andre and Joey to the hangar to prepare The Weston for flight.

“Leave here in an hour,” Dad instructs, dropping into the chair on my left and sipping his scotch.

A frustrated growl sounds to my right as Blade throws himself down, lighting a cigarette.

Feeling my phone vibrate, I take it from my pocket and read the text.

Rome: I appreciate you bringing flowers for Indie, but I don’t want any contact with you. Please respect that.

Me: Your cock sure likes contact with my hand.

Rome: I mean it.

Me: You go near that little shit, and I’ll hang him from a building by his tiny dick for the world to see.

I turn my attention to Dad, who’s staring as intensely at Blade as he’s staring back. “I need a favour while I’m in LA.”
