Chapter 65 #2
Kazuki chuckled, then dropped a tender kiss to her lips.
“Shūji fought often with his comrades. One of them sent him to hospital, I think he was seven or eight. Keiko-san was there finishing her paediatric training, and she had the idea to take him to the dōjō to spend his rage. I think meeting her just saved them both somehow.”
It was a compelling story, worth putting in a TV drama. But some things didn’t add up; Elyna frowned. “Keiko-san? Dr Sōhma? Is that why they’re so close?” The look Kazuki sent her was incredulous; her shoulders hunched in shame.
What am I missing?
“She and Onishi-san are together,” her lover deadpanned, eyebrow lifting purposefully.
Elyna nearly launched herself out of the bed, clutching the cotton sheet to her chest. “Oh my GOD! Are you telling me that…”
Kazuki reached for her before she could fall off. Everything was unravelling in her mind. Dr Sōhma and Shūji using the same expressions. Their casual banter, the way she often knew anything concerning him and the reason why teachers always threatened to send him to the infirmary.
The personal sex talk! It all came together with such startling clarity that she felt insanely stupid! “She’s his stepmother, really?”
Kazuki blinked in genuine surprise, causing the young woman to flush. “Erm, yes? I thought you saw them at the Nationals?”
“I was distracted at the Nationals,” she retorted hotly. “By the kendō, and you … well, mainly you.” Her cheeks flushed at his satisfied expression. “Ok, I completely missed it.”
Kazuki sat up slowly, muscles shifting beneath smooth skin; he looked almost bewildered. “Well, they’ve been together for the past eight years or so.”
“They haven’t touched once!” Elyna exclaimed, the sheet slipping from her chest as she threw a hand in the air. “And they’re not wearing rings!”
He smiled gently, reaching out to tuck an errant strand of hair behind her ear. “Rings are optional here, and you know how discreet we are in our affections.”
Elyna huffed and sank back against his chest, pushing them both into the soft mattress as her head returned to his shoulder.
No rings, how sad. Lost in the safety of his embrace, surrounded by the special fragrance that was purely him, Elyna allowed her senses to be lulled into contentment. “Well, I’d love to wear a ring.”
A sharp breath, then a kiss landed at the crown of her head, followed by the most sensual of promises. “Duly noted, my lady.”
It felt like free-falling, like looking into the future and seeing them, together. A flimsy dream that flitted around her, taking shape against all odds. Elyna remained silent, basking in that new possibility.
The young woman almost jolted awake when Kazuki’s hand caressed her shoulder.
Right. Japanese display of affection. After spending so much time in Latin countries, it was a whole reference shift.
Elyna’s hand wandered around Kazuki’s exposed waist, as if anchoring herself to the moment. To this place, and him.
Sensing her shifting mood, Kazuki’s arm tightened around her protectively, his presence the perfect shield against the rest of the world.
Then his hand slid at her nape; he tilted her chin up and pulled her in a heated kiss that sent tingles down her spine.
His tongue caressed and massaged, unapologetic, until she couldn’t think straight.
When Kazuki released her, Elyna had lost all sense of direction.
“That was to thank you for the chocolate,” he murmured against her lips. “I appreciate the gesture.”
Especially after refusing all those boys on Valentine’s day was left unsaid. Elyna almost snickered at the memory. “To be honest Satsuki helped me.”
His eyes filled with wonder. “You made them?”
“Hai,” Elyna nodded. “But I have no idea how it will taste.”
Kazuki’s hand stroked her hair in long, soothing motions. “It doesn’t matter, the effort itself is amazing.”
“I hope you don’t get food poisoning,” she groaned, suddenly feeling insecure about her skills.
Kisses were peppered upon her head, then her face; Elyna hid in his chest with a laugh.
Protected from the assault, she heard him huff playfully.
“Well, I doubt Satsuki would let that happen to her precious friend.”
Kazuki’s powerful body suddenly shifted, hands settling on her waist possessively. His eyes glinted with mischief, eyebrows lifting in a playful arch. “Now enough of Shūji and Satsuki. You shouldn’t be speaking about another man while in bed with me.”
Elyna snorted at the streak of mock jealousy. “Shūji’s a boy, Kazu. And no one can compare to you anyway.”
He preened at the flattery, and in one fluid movement, she found herself trapped beneath his solid weight. Wayward strands fell forward to frame his face, the faint russet tones highlighted by the setting sun. She couldn’t help but trace that wonderful jaw with the reverence owed to a work of art.
Kazuki closed his eyes, nestling into her palm. Then his mouth found hers in a slow kiss, one of tender ache and contentment; his body nestled between her legs, renewing the embers of desire that slept in her belly.
When they broke apart, breathless and wanting, Elyna was incredulous: “Again?”
His lips curved. “If my lady wishes, but there is no pressure.”
“Oh I feel the pressure very much,” she squeaked, hips rolling to meet the manifestation of his desire. Kazuki’s sharp intake of breath was followed by a chuckle. “Minx,” he murmured, already trailing kisses down the column of her throat.
Elyna arched against him, a wanton moan bubbling in her chest. Somewhere in the back of her mind, a few doubts surfaced. Would she be able to keep up with a physical education teacher?
He’s got stamina, for sure!
There was no other way to find out but to thread her fingers through his silky hair, and pull him closer.
His whole frame surrounded her, warm and welcoming, like a cocoon of love.
Elyna sighed in his mouth, skin humming against his.
Perhaps they could linger here a bit longer; she would let him worship her body before sharing a shower.
Dinner can wait.
Aksel: it’s raining AGAIN
Elyna: it’s Cornwall, what did you expect ??
Aksel: idk, ??? warmth? basic happiness?
Elyna: you literally chose to stay with dad
Aksel: yeah for the beaches not the eternal gloom
Elyna: Spelling mistake there, dolt
Aksel: ?
Elyna: bitches ??
