Chapter Five
Drake
I woke up to find my wallet missing and my little stepsister gone as well. Thankfully, I told Sloane to keep tabs on her. She didn’t get far after knocking me out with her tight snatch and three orgasms.
“Where is she?” I snarl into the phone as I find my clothes, hoping to move fast as hell. There’s no way she’s getting away from me. After all these years, I know what I want, and it’s my little stepsister, who is a mix of tough and vulnerable, shy and sly.
“She went to the local DMV, and then she booked a ticket to Dallas, Texas.”
“Damn, she was really trying to get away from me.” Summer gave up her body and then ran. Although I wasn’t sure why she would. The woman was a mystery, and I hated puzzles, but I craved her.
“Well, she left your wallet in the foyer. She only took the cash.”
“She could have gotten farther with the cards.”
“Yeah, but I’m guessing she didn’t want to be tracked.”
“What time does her bus leave?”
“Two hours.”
“I’ll be there. Keep an eye on her and make sure no one goes near her, or she doesn’t flee.” I’m up and out of the house in minutes, taking my fastest vehicle to the station before she can get away.
My phone rings on the way, and I don’t want to answer my investigator. Still, I don’t want to miss what he has to say, so I take his call. “What do you have for me?”
“You’re not going to like it.”
“Son of a bitch. Is my father alive?”
“Yes, he is. Your stepmother can’t be pregnant. She had a hysterectomy five years ago.”
“What the fuck,” I roared.
“She’s playing your father like a fool.”
“I need to get him away from her, but I wonder what lies she’s going to tell him to keep him.”
“I’ve checked into several of the husbands and cross-referenced their phone records. He calls both women. Although only your new stepmother has conversations with him.” Is this the son of a bitch that wanted to violate my Summer?
“What’s his name?” I asked, grinding my teeth as I raced toward the station.
“Peter Scott. A Florida Yacht manufacturer. He’s wealthy and fifty-five.”
“I want eyes on him. Do you have a man down there?”
“He’s currently in town, and I’m the one tailing the asshole. I thought you’d appreciate it. It’s strange because it looks like he’s headed in your direction.”
“What do you mean?”
“I’m taking the road to your estate.”
“I just left ten minutes ago.” A sinking feeling shoots deep in the pit of my stomach. It wasn’t me she was running from. Somehow, she knew he was coming.
“What do you want me to do if he shows up at your place?”
“Call the police. Her former stepfather is trespassing. The property clearly has a no trespassing sign on it, but since he can’t get past the front gate, I doubt he’ll linger.”
“You would be fucking wrong. The creep just pulled into your gate.”
“No, he fucking didn’t.” I don’t know who gave him the code to my gate, but they’re about to face criminal charges as well because I’m going to call my lawyer, too.
“I’ve got to go. Call the cops. I’ll call you right back. I’m at the bus station.” I pulled into the station, where I saw my driver. “Sloane, where is she?”
“Sitting in the corner over there, keeping her head down, trying to hide.”
I walk up to her, holding something she forgot in my house. “Forget something?” It’s the bikini she stripped for me before I buried my dick deep into her virgin pussy, making her mine.
Summer looks up at me, eyes full of shock. She’d been crying, and my heart ached. I want to snap at her, but she needs me more than she needs my anger. “Come here; we need to go back.”
“But…” Her voice cracked, avoiding my stern gaze, but I tipped her chin and forced her pretty blue eyes on mine. Eyes I want our babies to have. A thought I hadn’t considered until right now.
“No one is taking you away from me.”
“But I…”
“Ever.” I kiss the top of her head and then add, “You are gonna get a nice little spanking for running away from me, but then again, you didn’t run away from me, did you?”
Summer lifts her head up from my chest, looking up at me in shock. “How did you know?”
“Well, I did some digging. Besides, the prick is about to be arrested in front of the house right now.”
“Are you serious?” A mix of fear and excitement crossed her face.
“Yes, he trespassed on my property. I don’t know who gave him my code to the gate, but I didn’t, and it’s my estate. It doesn’t belong to anyone but me.”
“Wait, I should get your money back for the bus ticket.”
“I’m not worried about it.”
“But… it’s a waste of money.”
I turn to Sloane. “Find someone to give this to, please and then meet us back at the estate. We have a problem to deal with. Several problems.” He nods and walks to the front of the ticket booth.
As soon as we step outside, I pin her to the wall and my mouth crushes hers. “Summer, don’t ever leave me again.” Her hands slide up my chest and over my shoulders.
A cough comes from beside us. “Um…Drake.” Sloane is standing there and then tilts his head down toward us. Reality returns to me and I remember where I am.
“Oh shit.” I find my hands have wandered and they’re up her top in public. “Come on. You make me lose my damn common sense. Let’s get out of here before I’m arrested for public indecency.”
She giggles and I want to pin her again. I want all of this bullshit to be over, so I can drill into her. Damn, I have really lost it.
The second I have her buckled in my Mercedes, I rush around to the front and put it into drive. “I have to make a call.”
“Hey, Larry, we have a problem. There’s a douche on my property. He somehow got the code to my gate and entered illegally. My investigator was tailing him because he was stalking my guest at my house, and we were out of the house when he showed up.”
“I can get him on a lot of charges as long as the cameras show him entering the estate. Do you know this man?”
“I’ve never met this fucker.”
“Did your guest invite him?”
“No,” she says, nearly hollering in offense.
“How did he know you’d be there? I’m not judging, but I’m asking because it matters for legal reasons.”
“My mother told him where to find me.”
“Then I’m assuming you gave her the gate code.”
“No, my father must have. They’re married, but it doesn’t matter because none of them own the property, and I didn’t invite any of them.”
“That’s correct. So, on top of stalking charges, we’ll be able to charge him with trespassing.”
“Good, the more we can get him for the better.” I ended the call with him after asking him to meet me at the house. “Are you okay?”
“I’m as good as I can be. Honestly, I don’t want to see him, but I’m guessing there’s not much I can do about it.”
“It would be best if you were there to gauge his reaction to you. A bastard crazy enough to come after you, knowing that it was illegal only a few days ago, might not be willing to act rationally even in front of the police.”
She gasps. “Don’t worry, Summer. I won’t let him hurt you.”
When I pull through my driveway, the police have it blocked off, and there is the asshole with the cops trying to explain himself. My investigator is talking to another officer as I come to a stop. I step out, and they put their hands up. “Stay in the car for now.”
“I’m Drake Daniels, the owner,” I inform them. “I want that man arrested for trespassing and stalking. My lawyer is on his way here right now.”
“Like I told them, I haven’t committed any crimes. This is a misunderstanding. My ex-wife told me I could see my stepdaughter.”
“You lying piece of shit. There’s no misunderstanding. Summer told me that she was afraid of you. That’s why she ran away this morning when she realized you were on your way here. How much did you pay her for her daughter?” I raise my brows. “Huh? Because she told me that you wanted her virginity. Well, you’re too late for that.” I guess that broke him because he lunged at me, but the cops immediately restrained him.
“She’s mine. I’ve been waiting for her.”
“You’re a sick fuck. Summer is only eighteen. How long have you been waiting,” my investigator says. “My records indicate she ran away at sixteen from your home. Sixteen.”
“Summer, tell them. Tell them you love me,” he says, looking past me toward the vehicle. I stand in front of him.
“You don’t fucking speak to her, or I’ll forget the cops are here and beat the shit out of you.” Suddenly, the cops turn around and I smirk. My fist lands on Scott’s face, sending him to the pavement.
“Oh, I can’t believe he got away from us like that, Mr. Daniels,” the cops said, picking him up off the ground. “We’ll take him away from here and write up the report.” He walks him to the squad car which is on the opposite side of my car so he can’t see Summer. I’d hate for that bastard to get a free look at my woman. She doesn’t need that added torture.
“Thank you.”
“I have a sixteen-year-old daughter.”
“My ex just remarried, and I hate the bastard, but we thankfully didn’t have any kids.”
“I need to save my father from her mother.” I tilt my head toward the vehicle where Summer’s waiting for me.
“Interesting,” the lead cop with the ex-wife says, taking a look at her.
“Tell me about it. Technically, Summer’s my stepsister now.”
“Well, if your father has any brains, not for long.”
“I hope so.”
“Good luck.”
“Thanks.”
I walked back to the car and took her out of the vehicle, pulling her into my arms. “I’m sorry about all of this,” she sobs against my chest.
“Don’t apologize. He did this, not you.”
“Dad, I need you to come away from your wife and go with the gentleman that’s over there with you.”
“Son, I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“Do you see the man in the gray suit?”
“I do.”
“Go with him right now, and don’t take your wife with you.”
“Do you really expect me to just leave my wife right here?”
“Yes, I do. It’s extremely important; she has her guards with her. Trust me, she’ll be fine.”
“I’ve got him, sir,” Rocco says.
“What is this all about?”My father’s temper is evident on the line, so I let it out.
“Dad, your wife isn’t who you think she is.”
“Are we on this again?”
“Dad, there are three things that you are right now, and I need to know which one they are: you are clueless, a fool in love, or complicit. And I need to know the truth. Either way, someone’s going to get hurt.”
“What the hell are you talking about? Just give me a fucking straight answer.”
“One of your wife’s six ex-husbands tried to kidnap Summer today. She gave him access to my house, but not before notifying someone that he was coming to get her.”
“Did you just say six ex-husbands?”he gasps, the news sinking in.
“I thought you knew.”
“I thought she had two ex-husbands.”
“I tried to warn you.”
“She’s having my baby.”
“Dad-” He cuts me off.
“Oh God. Please don’t tell me there’s something else.”
I hate to break his heart, but he needs to know the truth and let this woman go. “She’s not pregnant.”
“What?”
“According to my investigator, she had a hysterectomy years ago.”
“That fucking bitch. I’m going to kill her,” he thunders.
“Rocco, make sure he doesn’t do anything crazy.”
“What about Summer?”
“She’s not going anywhere, dad.”
“What do you mean? I thought you’d want to get rid of her as soon as you got rid of her mother.”
“I’m never getting rid of her, and there’s no way that you can take her away from me now that you’ve brought her into my life.”
“At least one good thing came out of meeting that bitch. I hoped when I left her there, you two hit it off.”
“Was that your plan when you left her here?”
“An old man can hope.”
“So can this young man. I’m sorry it didn’t work out for you, Dad.”
“So am I. I’ll be there to see you both as soon as I can get away from this she-devil. My lawyers will have a field day with this.”
I ended the call with my father and checked in with Rocco via my investigator’s phone. I have the all-clear that he has removed my father from the area and will be bringing him back home alone.
Now to get some answers from my future wife because she’s not completely innocent in this charade even if she was forced to participate. She could have come clean at any time when she was alone with me. She had four days and let me inside her without a word about her wicked mother.
My lawyer comes to the house and meets with us. It takes over an hour to go over everything, and when I finally send him off, I can see that Summer’s worn out. “Let’s go lie down.”
“Do I look that tired?”
“A little. Besides, I was robbed out of holding you this morning.”
