Chapter 17 #3

“Don’t. Just don’t, Jawan. I obviously don’t have a say so in shit around here so don’t fucking touch me, don’t fucking talk to me, just get up and drop me and my kids the fuck off.”

She stormed out of the room after speaking her peace. Standing to my feet, I grabbed Lae and the bag so I could go ahead and drop them off. A nigga can’t win for losing.

It didn’t take us long to get to Granny’s crib. As soon as the car came to a stop Tio hopped her little ass out and stormed into the house, bumping Darren as he was on the way out. He looked back over his shoulder at her, then at me.

“Do I even want to know what happened?” he asked, helping Rae out of her seat.

I sucked my teeth and grabbed Lae. “Nigga shut up talking to me and help me get this shit. Muhfucka gone leave the bags and the kids out here.”

“Bags? I thought you were —”

“Aye, bro’ for real, I didn’t ask you what the fuck you thought, aight? I asked you to help me get they shit up outta here. Fuck is you talking to me for like we’re friends?”

He held his hands up in mock surrender. “Alright man.”

Me and Darren got the girls and their things inside and I got Lae out of her seat. Anytime we rode in the car she was on one, she hated being restrained in that seat.

“Aight pretty girl, Daddy got you,” I patted her back to calm her little ass down. I traveled towards the kitchen where I’m sure Granny was because I smelled whatever she was in there cooking.

“What’s good Granny?” I kissed her cheek. “What’s up Ms. Cheryl?” I extended the same greeting to Chy’s mom.

“Hey, JJ. What are y’all over here feeding this baby? Seems like she’s grown over night!” She took Lae out of my arms.

“Yeah, her itty-bitty ass be on the titty all day it seems like.” Granny cut her eyes in my direction. “But where Tio go, Ma?”

“Upstairs,” she answered without looking at me. They were so occupied with Jalae, so she no longer gave a damn about my presence. I journeyed up the steps to my old room because I was sure that’s where she was. As soon as I entered the room, she rolled her eyes and ended her call.

“Who was that?”

“Where are you going to be staying?”

“Tiomi.”

“Grim.”

She was mad. I understood why, but I also needed her to understand my decision. I gave into her needs yesterday, but this is something that needed to be handled.

“Baby, give me a break. I gave you what you wanted last night. You and the girls needed me, and I was there.”

“Why can’t you just leave this shit alone? We have money. More than we know what to do with at times. Me and your kids need you here with us Jawan more than the streets need you.”

“And I’m here Tio. I’m going to be here. The shit that I got in motion is going to set our grandkids’ grandkids straight. In a few months I’ma be here with y’all full time, I just need you to be patient with me and work with me.”

“Fine,” she rolled her eyes. “But you owe me. I get whatever I ask you for, no negotiation.”

As bad as I didn’t want to agree to that, I didn’t really have much of a choice.

“You got it babe. I’m about to get out of here. I love y’all,” I placed three soft kisses on her lips and headed out. I hope RJ had his affairs in order because I was going to fuck his world up soon and very soon.

Shad and I were currently sitting outside of the spot that RJ had been frequenting. I’ve been in Mexico for three days and I still haven’t saw him come in or out of this muhfucka. It seemed like every time I got one step closer to him, I was knocked back ten.

“You sure the nigga here? Ain’t been no movement at this muhfucka, we been sitting on this spot for days.”

I took another long pull from the blunt that I was smoking and kept my eyes on the building that was rumored to have housed RJ since he was released from prison. His father was one of the wealthiest men in Mexico and he was laying up in the slums.

“I don’t know, I couldn’t chance not coming though.”

“Naw I feel it, but now we’re just sitting ducks. I say we take care of the niggas that we got at the warehouse and take our asses home. Chy mad as a muhfucka with me, so I can only imagine what sis is feeling.”

He showed me his text thread of all of the many messages that Cheyenne has sent him since we’d been gone.

I didn’t even need to see it though because I had an equal amount, if not more, messages from my girl.

She was not happy with me right now, but I would worry about that later.

It was hard as fuck being away from them and I hated to ignore my baby girls many FaceTimes, but I had to be focused.

All I could do was pray that Tiomi would be understanding.

Yeah, right.

I started the engine to the car we were sitting in and pulled away from the apartment, heading in the direction of my warehouse. I had already requested that someone replaced us here. There was no way I was willing to let this muhfucka potentially slip away.

It didn’t take us long to make it to the warehouse where I had the muhfuckas that thought it was okay to cross me.

I couldn’t understand how niggas that I been making sure was straight since we jumped off the porch would do me dirty, but it didn’t even matter at this point, I was about to teach every single one of the muhfuckas that work for me that I’m not to be played with and my family definitely ain’t to be toyed with.

Shit fucked with me every day thinking about how it could have been worse, it could have been one of my girls.

When we made it inside, we went straight to the room where the disloyal muhfuckas were being kept. I looked at all three of them tied to the chairs they were sitting in, barely hanging on to life.

“Why? I made sure each and every one of y’all were good. Paid y’all more than enough to care for your families, and this is the payment I get?”

“Come on Grim man, he threatened to kill my girl and kid. It was a mistake, please man, my family needs me.” One of them begged and it pissed me off.

“And my fucking family don’t nigga? What the fuck would you or your family have if it wasn’t for me?”

“Nothing but let me—" he was silenced by a bullet to the head. I whipped my head around in Shad’s direction and he shrugged.

“I was tired of hearing him cry. Finish these niggas off so I can go fuck something Grim, damn nigga.”

When I turned to look at the next nigga, he was mugging me like I did something wrong to his ass.

“You really think you can’t be touched nigga?

” he said through a bloody mouth courtesy of the new niggas that the cartel assigned me.

Truthfully, I didn’t even have to do this shit at all, but this was personal.

I wasn’t really an emotional nigga, but it’s a fucked up feeling when niggas that you put on betray you.

“Naw nigga, I can be touched, but I can’t be beat,” I countered with a smirk on my face. Not giving him a chance to respond, I sent a bullet through his head as well as the third nigga that was in here with them. He was whining like a hoe and I couldn’t take it no more.

“Damn, ‘bout fuckin’ time. We shoulda just came in here, killed the niggas, and bounced. You in here asking twenty-one questions and shit,” Shad complained as we made our way back out of the warehouse.

“Nigga shut yo’ ass up, crying like a lil’ bitch,” I said before I tripped him. He lost his balance for a second, but when he regained his footing, he reached for me and I dodged it.

“Chill out bro’,” I said and laughed. “Come on man, go to the airport so I can get my ass home.”

“Yeah, that’s if you still have a home nigga when we get back.

” Shad snickered as he climbed into the driver’s seat.

I didn’t find shit funny about it though.

My bitch was probably going to try to murder my ass when I got home.

My phone vibrating in my pocket grabbed my attention, I pulled it out to read the incoming message.

Darren Bitch Ass: Some paperwork came across my desk today. A Romeo Martin is suing Tio for custody of Rae.

Fuck.

My throat became dry as I read and reread the message. I knew I should have killed that nigga when I had the chance. I kicked myself for giving him the benefit of the doubt.

Me: Naw he’s not, I’ma handle it.

Darren Bitch Ass: You know I’ll help you guys with what I can.

Me: Do I look like I need your help? I got my bitch and our kid, get off my line nigga.

So now it was gone be a blood bath in Miami.

This muhfucka and his old ass mama got another thing coming for them if they think they gone even be in the same room as my daughter.

I knew his moms was involved because he wasn’t smart enough to draw up no shit like this and even if there is a chance I was wrong, I was gone off the bitch just because.
