Chapter 10 Tatiyonna
TEN
TATIYONNA
Song: Summer Walker- You don’t know me
“Good morning,” Kileen said as soon as I opened the damn door.
He was the last person I wanted to see. We had occasionally been texting, but it was nothing more than checking in to see how each other were doing.
“Good morning. What are you doing here?” I grabbed the roses from him.
“You forgot what today is?” He asked, closing the door behind him.
I paused for a minute to try to figure out if I forgot something, but nothing came to mind.
“Tati, it’s our—.” His thought was cut off by the doorbell.
“Delivery for Ms. Cole,” a guy said when Kileen answered the door.
I set the roses he had just bought down on the end table in the living room and went back to the door to see a big ass box of pink roses along with an envelope. Kileen picked it up and brought it into the house while I signed for it.
“Thank you.” I smiled at the delivery guy.
“Who the fuck is spending all this on some roses, Tati?” Kileen went in before I could close the door all the way.
“Don’t come in here questioning me, Kil. We are separated, and I have no idea who could have sent them. It could be a client for all I know.”
“From Venus et Fleur? Do you have any idea how much those cost?”
“No, I don’t, and I don’t care,” I told him as I admired them.
I knew who the hell was responsible, and it was none of my husband’s business. This was Jah’s doing. I grabbed the card and attempted to open it until Kileen snatched it away from me.
“Give me my shit, Kil. I have not bothered you once about your fucking family. Now give me my card.,” I said.
“Tati, move the fuck back.” He nudged me and ripped open the card.
“To Ms. Cole, I hope you love your favorite flowers and a yearly supply from your favorite coffee spot. Signed, you know what it is,” Kileen read the note out loud.
I tried to hide my smile, but the look Killen gave me let me know he was not in the mood to play with me. Shit, I wasn’t in the mood for him to be here, but here we were.
“Tati, are you fucking somebody else?” Kileen asked.
“Kileen, please don’t start. Why are you here again?”
“It’s our anniversary, or you so stuck on another nigga dick that you forgot?” He argued.
“No, I didn’t forget. I didn’t think we were celebrating since we were not together. Hell, we haven’t celebrated in a while, if my mind serves me correctly. You were too busy making another family.”
Kileen ran his hand down his face. He did this when he was frustrated with what was going on.
“Can we move the fuck on, please! I haven’t been with that girl, and I’ve found my own place until we figure out what we are going to do. You are really giving the impression that you don’t want me anymore. I’m the only one working at this.”
I paused and puckered up my lips because what the fuck did he just say?
“What is it I’m supposed to be working on exactly, Kil? I didn’t mess this up,” I pointed in between us. “You did that all by yourself. You should be the one doing all the work.”
The nerve of this nigga coming into our home telling me we’re both supposed to be working.
When I was working, he was busy working someone else.
As soon as Kileen reached out and touched me, I became disgusted.
He wasn’t Jah. He didn’t know my body like Jah did.
How was that? How can a man I spent years with not know who I was or what my body liked?
There was a time I enjoyed being in my husband’s presence.
The smell of his cologne and the way he looked at me.
Right now, he was irritating me, and I wanted him gone.
Then, as he lifted my head to kiss me, it all came back to me that maybe giving myself to Jah had clouded my vision of my husband.
Shit, I didn’t know what was going on with me.
What I did know is somebody had to go. I couldn’t juggle both of them.
“I found a marriage counselor that I would love for us to go to. Maybe we need to sit and talk to someone because there’s a disconnect between us, and I wanted to get to the root of the problem. The longer you’re away from me, I feel like I’m losing you.”
Shit, you already have.
“Just send it to my phone, and I’ll make arrangements. That will be me trying. If this doesn’t work, I’m filing for divorce.”
“I can agree to that.” He placed a kiss on my lips.
My stomach turned just thinking of him sleeping with that woman, so I wiped my lips.
“Really?”
“Really, Kil. Is there anything else you need?”
“I don’t know who this nigga is you are fucking, but that shit will never work out. He can’t keep up with your lifestyle as I can. Happy anniversary, Tati.” He released me and walked out of the house.
“Says the same man complaining about the price of Venus roses,” I said and rolled my eyes.
I went to lock my door and searched for my phone to call Jah to thank him for the roses and the gift card. As he answered, I smiled.
“Thank you for the flowers, but how did you get my address?” I told him.
“Q public,” he said casually.
“Next time, text me. My husband was here,” I told him.
Jah chuckled, “Never gave a fuck about him, baby. Why would I text you when it’s supposed to be a surprise?”
“It just caused a little tension that I wasn’t in the mood for today.”
“Answer your FaceTime, I want to look you in your face when I say this,” Jah said.
I answered without hesitation.
“Damn, you looked good as fuck.”
“Thank you.” I blushed.
My husband had just left and never once mentioned how I looked today. My hair was freshly done, my nails were done, and my toes were done. All the things he never noticed, even when we were in the same house.
“I see the nails have changed. Let me see the toes.” Jah licked his lips.
I put the camera down to the toes and wiggled them.
“Nah, not like that. Set your camera up, take that silk moomoo off, and show me the toes with that pretty ass pussy print.”
“Jah!”
“Jah, what? You must ain’t got no panties on under there.”
“I don’t,” I replied.
“Did you let that nigga touch you?”
“He’s my husband, but no.” I rolled my eyes.
“Aight, just wanted to make sure that nigga semen wasn’t seeping out of you.”
“I’m about to hang up on you.”
“Nah, don’t hang up. Go do what I told you to do. I need to see the toes.”
I took my phone and went to my office. Because I did online sessions, I already had a phone tripod. I set my phone up and did just as Jah asked of me. All I could see was Jah smiling as I flashed my toes for him.
“Make the pussy cum for me,” he said over the phone.
“What?” I leaned up.
“You can hear just fine, Tatiyonna. Lay down and let me talk one out of you.”
“Jah, I’ve never...”
“I know, and that’s why I’m changing that. Now lay back and slowly spread those pussy lips so I can get a good look at that pretty ass clit.”
I did as I was told. The sound of Jah’s voice coming through the speaker made me wet. It wasn't long before I could hear my wetness as I rubbed myself to ecstasy.
“Mmm, look at that pretty pussy creaming for me. I know you're almost there ‘cause that clit swollen. Go ahead and get it that for me, baby,” Jah coached.
My back arched, and toes curled as I nutted so hard that I gave myself a headache.
“I wish I was there to clean that off your fingers.”
I did it for him, blew a kiss at the camera and disconnected the call. Messing around with him, I was going to be late for meeting my dad. I again had been canceling out on him, and I knew today he was really going to lay the law down on me.
I was an hour late when I flopped into the chair across from my daddy. He was staring me down, just analyzing me. This was one of the reasons I was a good girl. His ass could sniff a damn lie out anywhere.
“I’m sorry I’m late.”
“Who is he?” My daddy got straight to it like he usually did.
I looked around and back at him. “Who is who?”
“The nigga that got you cancelling. First it was your husband, and now it’s someone new. I’m a little concerned because we’re better than this. What’s up?”
I waved the waitress over and ordered a strong drink. I was about to tell my daddy my business, and I hadn’t even told Casi ass yet. My daddy was my best friend to and he never judged. He just gave it to me straight, and I needed that right now. He gave the waitress time to bring my drink.
“Damn, a Manhattan. You’re about to really lay it on me.”
I took a big gulp before swallowing, “Daddy, this man. My gawd, this man. He has broken all the barriers I had up. It’s so bad that I hate when Kileen reaches out to check on me. Am I wrong?”
He scratched in his salt and pepper beard. He did this when he was thinking of his words. He was harsh when he said what he had to say, so he was trying to soften it for me.
“Daddy, spit it out. You don’t have to be nice. If I’m being a whore, then just say that. Because that’s how I feel sometimes.”
“Baby girl, I’ll never see you as that. You’re legally separated. You actually did it the correct way, unlike your husband.”
“I don’t want you confusing what you’re experiencing for love.
You’ve been with Kileen for over ten years.
You’re living again, and I actually like that you’re doing that.
At the end of it all, just understand it’s just fun and nothing more.
If it keeps your mind off of Kileen, then all I say is, be careful. ”
I waved the waitress back over and ordered another drink.
My dad had no idea that I felt like the shit between Jah and me was way past having fun.
It was an addiction. A damn soul tie now.
We didn’t go a day without talking on the phone.
He would talk to me on lunchbreaks, before he went to bed, and when he woke up.
“I’m going to marriage counseling with Kileen as our last resort to reconcile. If this doesn’t work, then we will have an amicable divorce.”
“Fuck amicable, you deserve the house and half that nigga business for what he did to you.”
“The house will be mine. His name is not on the deed.” I winked at my dad.
