Chapter 18 Jahmir
EIGHTEEN
JAHMIR
Song: Joe- Good Girls
“Everything looks good, Mr. Grant. You have a clean bill of health,” the doctor told me.
“Glad to hear. I told you I was fine.”
“You're not even forty yet. Take care of yourself and try not to stress yourself over things you can't control.”
“Noted, Doc.”
Now that I was clear and could move on and get the hell out of my house and go see the twins.
I was about to take them out. I had the need to be a big kid.
We were about to eat whatever we wanted.
I have seen my babies in two weeks. Plus, I needed to kick with Dream once I found out he was being isolated from his sister.
Thanks to Tatiyonna, it was revealed. I had to send her an extra bouquet of flowers for the shit.
She thought the flowers were going to stop, but they were still coming.
Sometimes I wondered what she was telling her husband after three months.
It was strange not running into her like we did before we started fucking.
It was like she didn't exist and we didn't live in the same town.
“What did the doctor say?” Lonni asked before I could walk all the way in the house.
“I'm straight. It was stress.” I shrugged.
“May that love never find me.”
“Tatiyonna was worth it. I know, as your brother, you're being protective, but she only did what was right. Though I feel like it should've been me, who am I to force her to be with me? That's not love. Love is letting her go and be happy.”
“And then you almost die from a broken heart. Fuck that and her too.”
“Aight, not too much on Tatiyonna. I have to take accountability in my heartbreak, too.”
“My feelings still remain, but anyway, where are you taking them?” Lonni handed me their book bag.
“We are going wherever they want to go. I missed them, so don't call me and ask when they’re coming back. I might not come back until midnight with their behinds.”
“Well, have fun.”
Since they had just ate, we ended up at the arcade.
It was evident how much I missed them. They had me running from one game to the next, and before I knew it, I was four hundred dollars in the hole fucking around with the games they wanted to play.
They had so many tickets to turn in that I had to get a bucket to put them in.
I had to make sure it was enough tickets so they both could pick what they wanted.
They knew Uncle Jah didn't play about them fighting each other.
“Wow! I didn't know you had kids,” Kileen said.
“Shit, I don't know you had any either,” I lied.
“Yeah, this is my baby girl and her mama, Siya.”
Siya oddly resembled Tatiyonna. The short hair, dark skin, and tall thickness.
“But, nah, this is my nephew Dream and niece Reign. I almost was a dad, but shit happens.”
“It's a beautiful thing. I wouldn't trade it for the world.”
I smiled and nodded. I couldn't help but notice how Siya was intertwined in this nigga arm like they were a couple. Something told me to look down at his finger, no wedding ring.
“I thought you told me you were married. Is this your wife?” I asked.
He cleared his throat and stepped away from Siya. “No, it's complicated.”
“I see. Well, let me get them out of here before we miss our reservation.”
Complicated is the same shit Tatiyonna told me when we first started talking.
How were things still complicated, and Tatiyonna took him back?
When I got the kids buckled in, I pulled my phone out to dial Tatiyonna’s number, but was reminded of what I had just gone through.
I instead tested the waters and sent her a text.
I wasn't a hater and didn't plan on telling her about her bitch ass husband.
I'm sure she’ll find out because he was sloppy and his side chick didn't know her place.
Me: Hey, you came across my mind. Just checking in
She read the message and didn't respond. She was back being loyal and he was out here being exactly what he wanted to be, a family man.
A month later, I slipped on the blazer and fixed my bowtie.
I looked over at my assistant to see if she was ready.
Today was ribbon-cutting day for the new condominiums we spent forever building.
I rented a room for the night because it was closer and I didn’t want to drive all the way back home after.
Besides, the only woman that ever laid their head on my pillows was Tatiyonna.
I didn’t want to give my assistant any idea that she was getting anything more than a quick fuck tonight.
“You look beautiful,” I told her.
Complimenting a woman was just in my nature.
To me, being in the presence of a woman was a pleasure.
Though all we had was sex, that didn’t take away from me treating her like a woman outside the four walls.
Now, when we were behind the walls, I slutted her out.
That was between us, though. When we arrived, I parked and helped her out of the car.
The ground was now leveled and didn’t have all that loose gravel, so she was able to walk in her heels.
“This looks amazing,” she said. “It looks nothing like when we walked the grounds the first time.”
“Yeah, this is why I love to see the finished product.”
Everyone had almost arrived when we got there.
We mingled with a cup of champagne. This was our time to network and get Grants Concrete and Hauling out there, if there were any new faces.
Usually, I would bring my assistant because she was very social and knew my business without me being around her to tell her what to say.
As I mingled, I kept my head on a swivel because the only person I wanted to lay eyes on was Tatiyonna.
Thirty minutes later, they arrived holding hands and smiling like shit was sweet.
She wore a beautiful white dress that slightly hung off her shoulders.
She had that pretty as chocolate skin, oiled up that my mouth watered.
And her toes. My favorite, French tips. It was like time was standing still as I took her in.
Five months had gone by since I had been with her.
My assistant walked back up to me and handed me a glass right as they approached.
“Baby, this man right here is responsible for a lot of what you see,” Kileen said as we stood in front of us. “Baby, this is Jahmir Grant.”
We stood there for an awkward second before I extended my hand.
“Nice to meet you, Mrs. McGhee,” I expressed. “I’m assuming it’s Mrs. McGhee?”
“It is,” Kileen said.
As soon as she grabbed my hand, my heart started racing.
“Nice to meet you, Mr. Grant.”
“And who is this beautiful woman?” Kileen asked.
“I’m sorry, this is my assistant, Deshay. This is who was answering my emails and setting the schedule.”
“Okay, now I can put a face to it. I talked shit about you, but you run a very structured business. That’s big for someone your age. And for your family to trust you with it says a lot about your character.”
This nigga was talking to me, but I was too busy looking at Tatiyonna. Every time he had the chance, he loved to throw in my face that I was given something. I wanted to tell this nigga that I had his wife in different positions for months.
“There go the jabs again,” I warned. “How old do you think I am?”
“I’m sure you’re what, in your late twenties?”
“Nah, I’m the same age as you. I just don’t look old because I ain’t juggling two households, bitch ass nigga.”
Deshay snatched me away before he could say anything to me.
“Jahmir,” she said, taking my glass away from me.
“I’m not drunk.”
“This is business. You can’t speak to him like that,” Deshay fussed.
“Fuck him.” I looked over and mugged his ass.
“Oohhh, that’s her. She’s the one who had you sick.”
“Deshay, mind your business.” I left her standing there.
After the ribbon cutting, I was ready to go. They still were doing speeches, so I told Deshay to stay while I went to the car because my chest had started hurting. I had been in the car for ten minutes before a tap on the window startled me. I hit the unlock once I noticed it was Tatiyonna.
“Why didn’t you tell me you knew my husband?” She asked before her ass could hit the seat.
Her Versace Goddess hit my nose before I could respond.
“Didn’t know it was important to tell you. Y’all look happy. I didn’t want to disturb that,” I told her.
“Did you know him when you approached me?”
“Fuck no!”
“Are you fucking Deshay?”
I laughed because how the fuck was she in here questioning me like I was the married one. Her freshly waxed eyebrows were raised as she waited for an answer. Unlike her, I was truthful.
“We fuck occasionally. Nothing deep between us,” I replied.
“Wow! You knew I would be here, and you brought your fuck buddy. This is crazy.” She reached for the door, but I stopped her.
“Tatiyonna, there you go. Wanting to argue. What did you follow me to my car for? Does your nigga know where you at?” I licked my lips.
“I need to know that you didn’t do this to get back at him for his snide remarks. Since you say every time you encounter each other, he has something smart to say.”
I started letting my seat back. “Come have a seat on my face and we can talk.”
“Jah, I didn’t come in here for that.”
“What did you follow me for then? You miss this dick, because I know you don’t miss me.”
“I do...”
“You do what?”
“Did you fuck her today?” She flipped the question.
“If anyone knows me, it should be you. If I were satisfied, I wouldn’t be in here trying to please you. I don’t get down like that. Now, if you don’t give me what my body is yearning for, I’ll have to settle. And I ain’t in the mood to settle.”
“I need to get back, Jah.”
“What? You fucking that nigga again?”
“No, not exactly.”
I grabbed her by her neck and pulled her into me until our lips were damn near touching.
“You cumming on that nigga dick like you was doing mine?”
“No,” she moaned.
“You better not. When was the last time you nutted?” I pecked her lips.
Tatiyonna shivered and kissed me back.
“Come on, baby. We ain’t got much time. Let me make that pussy cry like I used to,” I told her.
“Jah, I can’t.”
“Why can’t you?” I lifted her dress to reveal the black G-string she wore.
Using my fingers, I slipped them to the side to expose her pretty pussy. She was already wet, and she was wasting time.
“Face or dick, Tatiyonna. Time is ticking, and I just want to make you feel good, baby.”
She reached for the zipper and pulled my dick out of my briefs.
I didn’t have time to pull my pants down before she squatted on my dick.
As soon as I was inside her, all those feelings came rushing back.
She held on to the back of the headrest as she rode my dick like she missed it.
As much as I tried not to look at her or kiss her, it was like neither of us could help it.
“I miss you, Jah,” she whispered in my ear.
I was about to tell her the same thing, but her phone started ringing, and I was reminded she wasn’t mine and this was just a fuck. I grabbed her hips and slammed her down on my dick until I felt my nut building.
“Get up.” I slapped her ass, but she kept riding.
“Fuckkk, Tatiyonna!” I released my nut inside of her.
She kissed me and got up, trying to fix her clothes as best as she could before rushing out of the car. I was thankful the tint was dark. When she opened the door, Deshay was waiting outside the car. I hadn't even put my dick up before Deshay got in the car.
“Damn, raw? You don’t even fuck me raw, and I’ve been knowing you for years,” Deshay said sadly.
I put my dick up and started the car. There was nothing to be said. Instead of taking her to the room, I drove her ass home.
“You like your job, Deshay?” I asked as I opened the car door for her.
“Of course I do. You know that.”
“Aight, if I hear that you mentioned her name or what you saw, you’ll regret it,” I looked her in her eyes. “Am I clear?”
“Yeah, we’re clear.”
“Have a good night, Deshay.”
“You too, Jahmir.”
