Chapter 55
“No, bullshit?” My cousin Black interjected. “You twenty-nine?” He lustfully gazed at Babi.
I narrowed my eyes, peeping how thirsty all the niggas in my family had been acting today.
I had two brothers, Nice and Smooth, who were twenty-three and twenty-two.
Then my auntie Queenie had two sons, Black and Dank, who were thirty and thirty-two.
All those niggas were as different as night and day.
My little brothers hadn’t gotten into the streets, because I refused to let them go that route, after getting on my feet.
I made sure that that they both graduated, before they took their asses to college.
Mean-while, my cousins were the ones who’d introduced me to the game, before I surpassed them.
Either way, they were still getting money.
My little brothers were doing pretty well their selves.
Everybody had their choice of women. Yet they’d all had been gawking at Babi like they’d never been in the company of some fine shit in their lives.
“Yeah, I’m twenty-nine,” Babi told Black.
“Damn, I honestly thought that you was a baby. No older than twenty.”
“Who are your kin people?” Dani probed.
“That nigga QT is her brother,” I spoke up, as I sat beside Babi.
“QT?” Mattie smiled. “I didn’t know his crazy ass had a sister.”
“I hear that all the time,” Babi smirked. “I’ve always been out the way. People mostly just know me for braiding hair. And if they don’t know me like that, they wouldn’t even know that he’s my brother, even then.”
Dani slid her tongue across her teeth. “You braid? You got some pictures of your work?”
Babi nodded, before producing her phone. She scrolled through something, before handing her cell to Dani.
