She craned her neck, putting her whole face in the camera. “Is you alive, hoe?”
“Yes, I’m alive.” My eyes veered towards the bathroom. Face was taking a shower with the door wide open.
“I had to call and see your face. Cause anybody could’ve been texting me.”
“Really, bitch?”
“Yes. Cause the Babi I know would never go MIA like this. Cass has been bothering me every few minutes, asking when are you coming home.”
“I should be there in a few hours.”
She squinted. “Girl, are you in that bed naked?”
I frowned, while pulling the cover further over my breasts. “What made you think that?”
“Cause, I can see you, bitch. I’m looking at your arms, and you aint wearing nothing. Not even a bra. And you don’t sleep like that in your own bed.”
I laughed, because she just didn’t know. I had adjusted a few things when her and her baby moved in with me. And I only started wearing pajamas to bed because Cass would often sleep with me.
