Chapter 13 Surprise Visit #2
Walking towards the front door, she locked it and then motioned for me to follow her.
It took everything in me not to stare at the beautiful ass she was blessed with.
Biting my lower lip, I examined her some more.
She had on high-waisted blue jeans with a black, short-sleeved turtleneck that was tucked in.
Her hair was styled with curls that hung past her shoulders.
Gold hoop earrings with a matching gold necklace complemented her reddish-brown complexion.
A soft mix of golden brown and pink coated her full lips.
The memory of running my fingers through her tresses and her plump lips wrapped around my dick as she deep throated me had me feening.
I briefly closed my eyes and thought about everything nonsexual to calm my dick down, but I was in a losing battle.
I’d be lying if I said I didn’t want her.
I only got a taste of what we started before, and I wanted more.
Natalie was beautiful, and her body was perfectly made for me.
The way her full breasts sat up invitingly in her turtleneck had my mouth watering.
The way her hips swayed and her ass bounced as she walked had me in a trance.
What I’d do to have her bent over in front of me.
I could see it now. Her ass clapping back against me as I pounded inside her.
Shit! Exhaling a breath, I immediately threw the thought out of my head. I needed to focus. Right now, Natalie was not the woman that I got to taste months ago. Right now, she was a business owner whom I was about to interview with. That’s all.
I followed Natalie to a sitting area and sat down across from her.
Handing her a copy of my resume, I waited as she looked it over.
It wasn’t like I was nervous. I mean, I had worked retail before while I was still in school and had pretty decent customer service skills.
Granted, I didn’t like talking to people that much.
Hell, I got a degree that would allow me to work in a field that had minimal human interaction and required me to work behind a computer all day.
However, I wouldn’t mind working in a bookstore.
People who loved reading books probably didn’t like small talk, anyway.
“So, you have some retail experience. That’s good. How do you feel about working overtime for a few days before the upcoming holidays?”
“I don’t mind. Honestly, anything to get me out of my parents’ house during the day.”
She raised an eyebrow but said nothing as she stayed focused on my resume.
I shifted in my seat, and I could feel a small bead of sweat gathering at my hairline.
Okay, I know I said I wasn’t nervous, but I may have been underestimating my feelings.
The Natalie that I met at the lounge was a totally different person from the one who was before me.
She was all about her business, and I had to admit, I was a little intimidated.
Then again, that only made me want her more.
No! That wasn’t why I was here, and I had to stop thinking about her in that way.
After Natalie left me in the hotel, it was clear that what we did was a mistake.
“Dexter, why do you want to work here?” Natalie asked, looking up at me. “If I’m not mistaken, you recently graduated from college and can work anywhere. Don’t you want to work somewhere that focuses on your degree so you can build your experience and skills?”
A part of me wanted to lie, but the way her doe-like brown eyes were staring at me was making it hard. I shifted in my seat before clearing my throat.
“I’ll be honest with you, Natalie. Yes, I want to find a career around my degree, but I lied to my parents about what type of degree I achieved.
You see, they own Green Tech, and they think I finished school so that I can take over the company.
The thing is, I got my degree in software engineering and have been building a new gaming prototype to sell to an investor.
Right now, they think I’m working in a smaller I.T.
department at their corporation, and I need a job so that I am not sitting at their house all day working on my game. ”
“Wow! It’s a good thing they didn’t announce what type of degree you received during graduation.”
“Right! Because we had a huge graduating class, they decided to only say our names.”
Natalie nodded as she twirled her pen between her fingers. “Well, won’t your parents notice you aren’t at Green Tech when they do a pop-up?”
I shook my head. “They saw me ‘working’ today and won’t be back to check on my progress. Plus, the manager of the department is doing me a solid by covering for me. Besides, they travel a lot and won’t be around the office as much. With that said, I still don’t want to be sitting in their house.”
Natalie nodded her head as she set my resume down on the table and leaned back in her chair. She twirled her thumbs around one another as she sat deep in thought.
“Here’s the thing,” Natalie began, sitting up in her seat. “I want to help you, Dexter. I mean, I could use the extra hands around here. However, given our recent…interaction, I don’t think it’s a good idea.”
Panic swirled in the pit of my stomach. I needed to think of something. Sitting up in my seat too, I stared at her. “What happened between us was a one-time thing, right?”
Natalie hesitated before she nodded her head.
“We’re both adults and can move on from that night. We can keep everything professional and pretend that night didn’t happen. We were both intoxicated and took things a bit too far, but we can move past it.”
A concerned look flashed across Natalie’s eyes, which had me pausing. What was that? Did I say the wrong thing?
“Okay.”
I rapidly blinked before slightly shaking my head to make sure I had heard her correctly. “Okay? Like, I got the job?”
Natalie smiled and nodded her head. “Yes, I am offering you the job on one condition.”
“What’s that?”
“As you said, what happened in the past stays in the past, and nothing will ever occur between us again. Agreed?”
Natalie reached out her hand. Wait, what did I do?
I really put my whole foot in my mouth. A part of me wanted to say damn what I just said and damn the agreement.
I wanted to pull her to me so that I could feel her lips again.
There was no denying my attraction to her, and I wanted nothing more than to finish what we started the other night.
Natalie was breathtaking and not like any woman I’ve been with before, but I think I blew my chances.
Was I really allowing the chance to work for her to stand in the way of pursuing her? I guess it was for the best. Not because I didn’t want her, but because there was a chance that it was wrong. Natalie was my best friend’s older sister. She was forbidden.
Besides, with Natalie offering me this job, my plans would be in motion.
I wouldn’t have to work at my parents’ job, and at the same time, I’d be gone enough not to raise suspicion.
I’d be able to get my prototype complete and begin finding an investor.
Once everything was complete, I’d be out of Natalie’s hair, and she’d be a memory.
Grabbing her hand, I shook it. “Agreed.”
