Chapter Thirty-Three Devil

After watching Peyton, Knox, Thorn and the babies leave I was left with my beautiful patient wife, Caleb, Trevor, Bethany, Cassie, Adam, Brock, Rip, Samantha, Bailey and Ashton.

Our large chaotic family that I have never been so grateful for.

With everything that has gone on, I have not been able to sit down with any of the kids and explain to them what was going on and some of them are way too little to understand.

The conversation that was just had with the doctor also might have been too much for them, but now I have to give them the information that I have been dying to share since I found out this morning.

I wish this was going to be easier, but I know that it is not.

Caleb is going to prove to be the most difficult for whatever reason. The boy had eight years without me in his life, you would think that the boy that I didn’t meet until then would not be upset when I found out another one of my sons was kept from me.

“So I think we need to sit down as a family and discuss some things.”

“You mean to tell us why the heck we are in a family meeting about what is going on with Whip?” Trevor asks.

“It’s pretty obvious there Trevor. Daddy’s got another baby.” Caleb sneers.

“Okay, this is not going to happen. You are not going to act like this Caleb, if you are going to act like this you can leave. I need to talk to your brothers and sisters. If you don’t want to be a part of that conversation then go. If you think you have all the answers, head on out.”

He glares at me, but shuts up and doesn’t say anything. This boy cares about his siblings. He wants to be here for all of them. No matter what is going on. Especially the little ones. He was fifteen when Beth was born and that boy would take bullets for his family even when he is angry at any of us.

“Alright, so the reason we are here and why we were the immediate family of Cooper is because this morning we found out that he is my son. His mother was a club girl over twenty-nine years ago and disappeared, apparently pregnant with Cooper.”

I look over at my littlest babies and sigh, hopefully they won’t remember a time without Cooper being their big brother.

“Cooper was lied to about who his father was and obviously never told me about him. So I want you guys to know that Cooper is your big brother. I hope that you will ALL welcome him to our family. No matter what, we are a family.

I want to get to know Cooper as my son and I am sure he wants to get to know me as his father and all of you as his brothers and sisters.”

“So are there going to be any other siblings popping out of the woodwork here?” Caleb snarks at me.

I look at Liz, “Take the kids out of here please.”

Liz nods her head and then gathers our little group of chaos.

After they are out the door I spin on Caleb.

“What in the hell is your problem? If anyone should be understanding about years without an actual father it should be you! You also know all the shit Cooper has been through!”

Caleb stands up from his chair and puts his hands on the table and leans towards me, peeking over his shoulder at Trevor.

“It has nothing to do with Cooper and everything to do with you! Do you know what a fucking condom is? You just keep fucking women bare or something? Knocking bitches up left and right not giving a shit if you got them pregnant or not. Leaving all these kids without their father!

Do you even care or think about what you are doing?”

I look at my son like I am seeing a stranger. I don’t even understand where all this is coming from.

“Let me be real clear, I never went without a condom until Liz. In case you didn’t know, I’ll give you some sex education because your fucking ass is twenty-seven years old and should fucking know that condoms are not 100%. Now, I didn’t ask for all this to happen to me.

I didn’t ask for Whip’s fucking mom to keep him from me for twenty-nine fucking years. I didn’t know that my own fucking kid was in the club. That he was right in front of my fucking face for years!”

I slam my hand down hard on the table. “Your mom didn’t fucking tell me she was pregnant with you and I didn’t know you existed until she died.

You think that is fair for me? You think I woke up one day and said I’m going to fucking knock up every bitch I come across and see what one sticks.

I was young! I did a lot of shit, kind of like what your fucking ass is doing right now!

You think no one sees the fucking shit you pull.

I’ve been at these parties, boy. I know what the fuck you do!

I also know about the games you are fucking playing with that sweet girl that Peyton and Parker are friends with.

You want to fuck around, you go ahead and fucking do it.

I can’t sit here and tell you not to because my ass stuck my dick in a bunch of bitches before I met Liz.

I tried to find a woman to be like a mother to you after yours passed.

I tried to settle down and I’m sorry Trevor’s mom wasn’t the one for either of you.

I can’t regret the shit I did when I was younger because it gave me you and your brothers.

Do I wish some things could have been different?

Hell yeah I do! So you either get your shit together and stop blaming me for shit I cannot control or you don’t.

I don’t give a fuck right now. I will love you no matter what you do or what you say because I am your dad.

I just don’t understand where this anger and frustration is coming from. You won’t fucking talk to me!”

He looks away and then looks back at me.

“I got that girl Rose pregnant. She won’t talk to me. She found out I was not exclusive with her while we were sleeping together even though I made no commitments. Well at least that’s what I made her believe.

Turns out the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree because another bitch I fucked a couple of years ago before I met Rose, had my kid. Came looking for me because she needed fucking money. So yeah, apparently my ass is just like his old man.”

With that he storms out of the room and I look over at Trevor who has not said a word since he asked about why we were in the room getting information about Whip.

“Did you know about any of this?”

“No, he didn’t tell me anything. He never does. I’d ask Lash. But it does explain a lot about why he’s been disappearing.”

I nod my head and the both of us head out of the room towards the waiting room, hoping that we can get in to see Cooper soon.
