Epilogue ~ Miles
The start of spooky season the following year…
Cuddling up to my mountain of Halloween themed plushies we keep permanently on the sofa in our little cottage, I sigh content, as I open the first page of the new dark romance I’d been keen to start this week.
I was waiting for the first of October to crack into the really depraved stuff, so I’m keen to turn into an unwashed hermit as I dive into the stalker romcom.
Halloween themed of course, just to mark the occasion of my favourite holiday.
Farm life is amazing. I always thought it would be, so after graduation when Cass asked me to move up to Scotland with him, I said yes!
I then banged his brains out right there on the living room floor, kissing every inch of his skin and telling him how much I love him.
Ever since I first found him outside that window, my feelings for him have only grown.
I don’t know if it’s healthy to love someone so intensely, but he’s the best thing that has ever happened to me.
He makes me a better person and I know he is it for me, forever.
Dreamily melting into the little love seat, I’m only a few pages in, when I notice eyes watching me.
Looking up, even though I wasn’t expecting him home yet, I’m not surprised to see a figure standing in the doorway to the front porch, shadowed in all black.
When he shifts his hood, the white plastic of the ghostface mask shines from the glow of the many lamps I have scattered around the place.
I prefer those over the big light, it turns the cottage into a cosy fairytale.
Smirking, I dogear my page and place the book slowly down beside me.
Stretching out like a cat, I palm my dick which is already starting to plump.
“Baby, are you pulling the ghostface mask out of retirement?” I now wear a matching pink neon mask to Cassie’s lilac one, our masked content as a couple getting some of the biggest views in the masked community.
We also do a lot of couples content just as ourselves, and our followers are just as obsessed with the animals on the farm as I am.
I love it here and I get cuddles with Winnie daily.
I’m pretty sure she’s my best friend, but I can’t tell Cass that; he’d get jealous over an ancient cow.
We keep our location and most parts of our lives incredibly private so as to not attract weirdos in our real life, and it works.
I’m the farm recluse that spends all my time writing either here in our on-site cottage, out in the fields all summer or in the farms restaurant which is phenomenal.
The food is incredible and I love all the staff, feeling like we’re all one big family.
Cassie is smashing it as part of the veterinarian team, and he cried with happiness delivering his first set of lambs this Spring.
I took pictures; they’re framed in the dining room.
I finished my vampire romance that his friends and family helped me write. It’s a complete love letter to the man I want to spend the rest of my life with. It’s our love story…just with Scottish castles and vampires.
He’s been incredibly busy today helping out with the petting zoo, as the farm is also a tourist attraction, it means this season their Halloween event is in full swing.
The land has been packed with tourists and guests, but no Emery…
No, we’ve had friends come up to see us, but we never saw Em again since he stormed off to the train station.
He quit university. Left for a prestigious art course in London, and from what Cassie told me on the occasions he’s spoken to him on the phone, he’s even studied abroad for months on end.
The farm was never his dream, he just didn’t know how to tell his best friends.
It hit Harris hard and even though he won’t speak about it, I know him leaving has something to do with that kiss.
He’s spiraled and been a mess ever since, a shell of himself.
“I wasn’t expecting you home for hours.” I trail my hand up my hardened length, dipping my fingers teasingly into my waist band.
Cassie lifts the mask up over his head to reveal his gorgeous face, a new tattoo looking fresh on the side of his neck that kind of creeps up onto his jaw.
It’s an elaborate script M, just another sign of his devotion to me.
His smile is devilish. “I got off early. Harris showed up from whatever hole he’s hidden himself in, so he took over with the Llamas.
” Slowly creeping into the living room he throws the mask onto the floor beside the sofa, dropping to his knees in front of me.
He watches intensely the way my fingers are trailing back and forth over my waist band, the clear outline of my cock stealing his attention.
“I thought we could kick off your favourite season early.” He hungrily drinks me in, before looking me in the eyes.
“What do you have in mind, Baby?”
“I noticed you read a bunch of books with primal play recently…want to try it out a little?”
My breath catches, his eyes seeing my eager reaction and his pupils dilate.
“A little?”
“Just in the house. If you like it, I can plan something for Halloween.”
Humming, I sit up and plant a slow kiss on his plush lips. “Any hard limits?”
Smiling against my skin, he shakes his head.
“None. If I catch you, I get to fuck you with whatever I want. My dick, toys, who knows–I wonder what they use in those little books you read.” I flush, because the few times he’s fucked me have been the hottest moments of my life.
I love fucking him, but he’s a fucking animal when he gets inside me.
“Deal. Safe word?”
“Season slut.” He says and we burst out laughing.
Giving in to his touch and kissing him more, after licking along his bottom lip, I pull away and make my move.
Using the flat of my foot against his chest, I kick out and catch him by surprise, his giant arms windmilling as he falls backwards.
Throwing myself off the sofa, I even drape my blanket over him just for good measure.
I take off with everything I have, throwing myself at the stone staircase and ignore the pain when my knee connects with one of the slabs.
It’s all for a good cause–hot animalistic sex with my god of a boyfriend.
I don’t hear him coming after me, but the roar of my heartbeat is the loudest thing in the universe.
I swing into the spare bedroom, it’s a little room at the front of the house, but there is a free standing mirror which I can stand behind.
Controlling my breathing, I cover my mouth with my hands and stand there heaving into my palms.
I wait.
One minute turns into two, then into five, then ten. Now I don’t know if I need to pee or if my dick is straining so hard waiting for him to find me. Either he’s forgotten we even have this room or he’s still downstairs, but maybe if I sneak out, I can get the upper hand.
With all the grace of a cat, I slide out from behind the mirror and creep out of the bedroom.
The entire cottage is still, and he’s turned out the lamps downstairs because it's pitch black. A faint red light emanates from our bedroom, pulsing to pink, orange, then back to red. He’s setting me up again… just like last Halloween.
Unable to help myself, I slowly move forward to the bedroom door, resting my hands on the wood, before pushing my way in. I expect him to be hiding or waiting already on the bed, but to my bewilderment, he’s on his knees. No, he’s on one knee.
“Cassie?” I whisper, twisting my head to the side because I don’t understand what I’m seeing.
Grinning from ear to ear, he pushes curls off his forehead, shaking a little as he pulls out a black velvet box with a ghost engraved on it. I can see the lines shimmer in the low light, which is coming from the lighting we have hooked up all over the room.
“Miley,” he swallows, smiling through his nerves.
“I fucking love you so much. I had this entire speech memorised, but…every time I look at you, it’s like the first time and you steal all my thoughts.
Every part of me is yours. You’re my great love, in this lifetime and I know the next.
Your name is already etched into my heart, please marry me and be mine forever. ”
This silly perfect man. I’ve been his from the moment I overheard his toe curling accent over the music in the bar, he just didn’t know I’d existed, but my soul recognised he was mine.
I throw myself at him, my large body colliding with his solid wall of muscles and we both fall back.
Landing with a thump, I grab both his cheeks between my palms and kiss him stupid.
He tastes like the strawberry sweets he hides in his work trousers for when he’s peckish, but also he nervously chews on them when he’s stressed.
It all makes sense now, he’s tasted this way for months.
Licking into his mouth, his tongue dances with mine, joining us together just like how our souls entwine.
Of course I’ll marry him, it’s all I think about.
“Yes! Yes, oh my god yes. Yes I’ll marry you. Can I put a baby in you too?”
He howls against my lips, clearly remembering last Halloween, pushing me back until I’m sitting further down his thighs. Bringing the velvet box in between us, his chest is heaving as he opens it. His fingers tremble, but he’s smiling so much I barely notice that his eyes are filled with tears.
“Oh my love, it’s ok.” I take his face in my hands again and kiss each eyelid, taking the salt with me.
“I’m just so happy.” He pushes his face into my neck, before collecting himself and taking a deep breath.
Opening the little box, presented inside is a silver ring, with black stones inside in the shapes of stars all around the band.
It brings tears to my own eyes and I choke back a sob as he takes it out of the box.
We cry, sniffle and laugh together, kissing as he slips the ring onto my left hand. It fits perfectly and I can’t look away from it.
“It’s gorgeous.” I marvel at the ring, snuggling into his arms as I sit in his lap.
Adjusting my legs so he can bring me closer, he holds up my hand to look at the ring. “Want to know something crazy? I bought it in Whitby.”
My eyes snap to his gorgeous warm whisky ones. “I want to think that's crazy, but it just feels so right Cassie.”
Kissing me softly, he lays my head against his shoulder and we just embrace as we both look at the ring. After a long while of just laying together in each others embrace, I’m about to ask if we can still fuck, but then I notice the little blink of something in the corner of the room.
“Baby…Did you film our proposal?”
Turning to face exactly where the blinking is coming from, he chuckles, lifting me up in one incredibly sexy move and gently sits me on the bed.
“Yeah, I thought we’d want to. But also,” picking up our quality camera and turning it off, he also grabs his phone from on top of our dresser.
“We’re on video call with Mum and Dad.” Turning it around, I see the faces of two of my favourite people.
The call must be on mute because they’re both blubbering fat tears and hugging one another, but I can’t hear a thing.
Unmuting them, loud wails echo through the phone, mainly from his dad, who tells us how happy they both are.
I’m just lucky I didn’t walk in here stark naked or jump his bones the moment he pulled out the ring.
Looking back down at my hand, I burst into happy tears and tackle Cassie.
I can’t wait to call Mum, Teddy and Micah, but more I can’t wait to be his husband.
I haunted his DMs and he haunted my dreams; now I get to marry him.
Swoon.
THE END!
