35. Will
CHAPTER 35
WILL
WILL: I’m heading your way.
Hannah: Sounds good… I’m in the middle of something in the barn, but you can just wait inside the house.
R eading her text, I throw my phone in the seat beside me and tell myself not to speed too fast down the country roads toward Falling Oaks. I’m pretty sure this has been the longest week of my life, and I’m so ready to finally spend some time with Hannah. Every spare moment has been consumed with thinking about her, and I’ve had to fight the urge to skip out on some of my coaching duties to see her.
After pulling into the driveway, I veer off toward the barn knowing there’s no way I’m giving up any time with her after staying away all week. I throw the truck in park just as I hear the sound of a loud shriek coming from inside. My heart stops, and I sprint inside, feeling my anxiety rise at the idea of finding Hannah hurt.
The door is latched from the inside, so I pound on it, desperate to make sure she’s okay. It doesn’t budge, and I growl in frustration as the screeching continues. Finally, I lean back and run at the door, hitting it hard and knocking the hook off the back. I look around the large space, trying to find the sound of the noise before hearing Hannah yell, “Leroy, stop it!”
Running toward her, I’m completely confused about what’s going on until I’m close enough to take it in the scene in front of me, and I can’t help but laugh at the absurdity.
Hannah is standing over Leroy and holding his front hoofs in her hands as he wiggles and throws his head back and forth, trying to get away. As soon as he sees me, he lets out another ear-splitting squeal like he’s begging for me to save him.
“Leroy, you’re so damn dramatic. You know I’ve got to trim your nails before they start hurting you,” she says, gently using a small set of clippers on his hooves as he continues to wail away. “I’ve never been so glad to not have neighbors. I swear if we did—Oh, Will! What are you doing here? I told you that you could wait at the house,” Hannah says, finally noticing me standing in front of her.
“Yeah, well, I pulled up and heard the ruckus, so I came to make sure you were okay,” I admit, trying not to feel silly about the misunderstanding. “Did you really not hear me trying to get in? I broke the lock off trying to get through the damn door.”
Hannah lets out a laugh at that, finishing with Leroy’s last hoof before straightening and letting him go. As soon as he’s released he darts toward the open door and runs off into the darkness while Hannah reaches up to pull a set of earplugs out of her ears. “Not a hundred percent sure what you’re saying because even with these stupid things I’m pretty sure my ears will be ringing for the next three business days. But I’m sorry that you were locked out. If I don’t close off all the exits, Leroy tends to get ideas about becoming a runaway. “
“Sorry, I was just worried something was wrong,” I admit sheepishly.
“It’s fine. I’ll just have to reattach that latch sometime over the next few days.”
“I’ll take care of it,” I tell her, walking over to pull her into my arms. “But first, I need to kiss you for a while. I’ve been thinking about tasting that sweet mouth against mine for the last week.”
Her eyes widen for just a moment before she runs at me, all but tackling me to the ground and kissing me hard while she threads her fingers through my hair.
I manage to keep my footing, wrapping her legs around my hips before moving backward to let her lean against the wall of the barn.
“God, you’re perfect,” I groan, dropping a trail of kisses down the column of her neck.
She whimpers at the feel of my beard against her sensitive skin, and I feel my dick harden in my jeans at the sound. I tell myself to stop this and at least get her in the house, but after spending the week unable to touch her, I can’t make myself pull away.
“Will, please, fuck me,” she murmurs, reaching down to undo my belt and unbutton my jeans.
“I do love it when you beg, baby girl,” I tease, grabbing her shirt and yanking it over her head. “I haven’t gotten to taste this sweet pussy in years, and I can’t wait any longer.”
“Yes,” she pants, leaning against the wall of the barn as I tear her leggings off her.
As soon as she’s bare, I grab her ankle and hook it around my shoulder so she’s open for me before leaning in and running my tongue through her center. “Damn, you’re fucking soaked, Han.”
She opens her mouth to respond just as I lean in and start teasing her clit with my mouth while sliding my fingers inside her, and whatever she was about to say dies in her throat. Her hips start to shift against my face as I tease her, and I pull back, kissing down her leg but continuing to tease her with my fingers before whispering, “That’s right, baby. You’re gonna come on my tongue before you slide onto my cock.”
She moans at my words, and I kiss back up her leg, continuing to touch and taste her until she tightens around my fingers, yelling, “Yes, please, don’t stop, yes, Will.”
Just as she’s starting to come, I nip at her clit lightly, and she screams, bucking her hips frantically as she loses it. As she rides out her orgasm I moan, desperate to be inside her again. “God, you’re so fucking beautiful when you come apart,” I whisper, pulling back to stand and grabbing both legs to wrap them around me. “But I need to be inside you now.”
She’s still a little out of it as she comes down from her climax, but she nods eagerly, leaning her shoulders against the wall to give me room to slide inside her.
As soon as I line myself up with her entrance, I know I’m not gonna last long. The feeling of having her this close after wanting her all week, combined with the way I can feel her dripping down my cock, has me ready to spill inside her already.
“Please, Will, I want to feel you,” she begs, and I snap, pushing into her in a quick thrust. Grabbing her hips, I help lift her up and down on my cock, fucking her hard.
“So good, Han. You’re so pretty when you’re filled with my cock,” I praise, knowing I’m close. “I’m nowhere near through with you. You’re all I’ve thought about all week.”
“Yes,” she moans, and I lose it, rocking into her faster until my orgasm hits me. I pump my hips harder, filling her with my cum. She continues to whimper as I finish, and eventually, I slowly help her stand, pulling out of her, and groaning when I see my cum running down her leg.
“Come on, baby, let’s get inside. I’ll cook us something to eat, and then we’re doing that again.”
“Oh my God, Caroline, the house looks incredible!” Hannah says, busting through the door at Caroline and Theo’s farmhouse Thanksgiving afternoon.
“Thanks, Han. I got a little too into the decorations this year, but I think it turned out cute,” Caroline replies, hugging her before gesturing to the kitchen. “And you already know that Margaret did most of this.”
“Damn, Marg, you do remember there’s only six of us, right?” Hannah teases, taking in all the dishes spread across the counters and the bar across the kitchen. I follow her gaze, still shocked by the amount of food Theo’s sister prepared for today. There are two turkeys, ten sides, and at least six different deserts, in addition to the things we tried to contribute.
After sitting down the dish of corn casserole she brought with the rest of the food, Hannah turns back to us, already rambling. “I’m sorry I was running a few minutes late. I took Merle out for a ride this morning because I haven’t had time to do that lately, and we totally lost track of time.”
“You’re fine! I just took the turkey out less than five minutes ago,” Margaret says, coming over to hug Hannah. “And Will and Seth didn’t get here too long ago.”
“Oh, that’s right. You went to your momma’s, huh?” she asks Seth from where he’s sitting on the couch with Theo’s lab, Bear.
“Yeah, we did. She told me to remind all of you that you’re always welcome, but I refuse to subject anyone else to her health shit on Thanksgiving,” he says with an eye roll. “Will’s used to it by now, but I can promise that it’s nothing like what Margaret’s done here.”
“It’s not that bad,” I lie, trying to be nice. Seth’s family has always welcomed me with open arms after my mom moved up north a few years ago when the last of my siblings graduated. She wanted a fresh start after spending the last twenty-seven years raising kids, and I completely understood.
“Whatever, man. I love her to death, but it was literally turkey, green beans, and a salad. She didn’t even make the rolls like she normally does. What kind of Thanksgiving is that?” Seth complains before slumping dramatically into the side of the sofa.
“You’re such a drama king,” Margaret says with a laugh, leaning down to pull a pan of rolls out of the oven. “But don’t worry, I’ve got us covered. Y’all ready to eat?”
“Let’s do it,” Caroline says, handing each of us a plate. “You all know where everything is. Have at it.”
Everyone moves to fix their plate and it doesn’t take but a few minutes until we’re all gathered around the table. Hannah’s the last one over, and I fight the urge to smile when she sits her plate down beside me.
“Hold on, let me grab the wine I brought,” she says, stepping back across the kitchen and returning with a bottle of Moscato. After filling everyone’s glass, she sits and holds up her glass.
Caroline grabs hers too and looks around, waiting for us to all follow suit, and then she says, “Thanksgiving has never been my favorite. Since my parents moved away, it’s always just been a day for Hannah and I to watch trashy TV and share a frozen pizza on her couch while we watched everyone around us spend time with the family that we didn’t have. But over the last year, I’ve realized that family doesn’t just mean the one we’re born into. It’s about the people I know I can count on every single time. It’s the ones who walk through the fun stuff and the really hard shit. And I’ve just gotta say, I’m just really grateful that y’all are mine.”
Hannah and Margaret both look at her like they’re about to cry, and Seth, Theo, and I just make eye contact across the table, unsure of what to say. Finally, Hannah shakes herself out of whatever she’s feeling and teases. “Damn, Caro, enough of the sappy shit. You already know we love you. Now, let’s eat.”
We all laugh and Margaret adds, “Yeah, please do. You know I need all the feedback on these recipes.”
“Like you don’t already know that they’re incredible,” Caroline says, rolling her eyes, before turning to me while everyone starts to eat. “So, Will, speaking of family, I’ve been meaning to ask, how are your siblings doing?”
“They’re good. Kit loves her school in Georgia, and the twins are still attending school in Wyoming. Ollie’s got some new job in Indianapolis and he seems to really like it too. I hate that I don’t get to see them much, but we check in as often as we can. And Mom loves living in Maine. She’s running her own art business now, and last I heard, I think she might have found herself a boyfriend.”
“That’s great. I’m so happy she’s doing something she loves,” Caroline replies, and I nod in agreement.
“So, Seth, when will you start practice for baseball?” Theo asks, and I listen to the two of them start to talk about the season before Hannah slides her hand over to place it on my leg, squeezing my leg under the table.
What the hell is she doing? I wonder, trying to keep my face neutral, waiting to see what else she’ll do. But she just rests her hand on my thigh and continues eating with her other hand like she just wants to be near me. Damn, what I’d give to be able to pull her into my arms right now . Across from us Theo and Caroline are huddled together while they eat like they can’t stand to be away from each other, and I feel a flash of jealousy—not at my best friends—but at desperately wanting that with Hannah.
I know she keeps saying that whatever this is between us is just sex, but I know, at least for me, that couldn’t be further from the truth. I’m completely gone for this girl, and there isn’t anything I wouldn’t do to keep her.
