Epilogue

My man looked so damn good. I’d plaited his hair so it would look fresh and clean for his twenty-eighth birthday celebration.

While we had plans to head to California in two days for a week, The Wilted Roses refused to not turn up for Wicked’s special day.

He’d just come from our bedroom after getting dressed, and I couldn’t take my eyes off him.

The all white outfit was accented by his TWR leather jacket and the matching Nike dunks on his feet.

With the low sitting snapback that covered his head, my attention kept going to his dark eyes and juicy lips.

Wicked was truly a dark-skinned god, and as mean as he could look with that sinister smile, I loved how sweet and kind he could be toward me.

“Damn, birthday boy. I can’t wait to get you home tonight for another round of birthday sex. You look so good, baby.”

Wicked licked his lips and smiled as he headed in my direction, smelling good as always. “I mean . . . you can have this dick right now if you want it.”

My giggle turned into a moan when he pulled me close and kissed my neck. “We have to go, Wicked, or we’ll be late.”

“Since when do you care about being late?” he teased, smacking my ass as I turned to grab my TWR jacket. I was an official member now myself, and I loved being a part of the family.

My eyes rolled playfully as I ignored the funny truth. The only place I was rarely late was work, and sometimes I was late getting there too.

The sound of him muttering about how good I looked as I walked in front of him made me put an extra sway in my hips.

I had to dress to impress to represent my man well on his birthday.

If I was by myself, I probably wouldn’t have worn something so risqué, but when I was with Wicked, there was nowhere safer for me to be.

Underneath my jacket was a bralette that was covered with rhinestones that I’d paired high waisted leggings.

For the bike ride, I’d have on sneakers, but I had a pair of heels waiting for me at the clubhouse.

First, we were going to ride out to Sunny Cliffs though.

I grabbed my helmet and shades by the door, then we headed into the garage.

Though I had my own bike now, I decided to ride with my man.

There was a chance we’d both be too drunk to ride by the end of the night, and my future father-in-law had already hired a chauffeur that would meet us at the clubhouse.

I knew Wicked was going to want to ride his bike as long as he could though.

The ride to Sunny Cliffs was as beautiful and peaceful as it always was, and knowing this was something Wicked and I always did together made it even better.

I loved that he wanted to spend some alone time with me for his birthday because we both were so busy these days.

Not only had he acquired three more auto shops, but he’d also started his inventory for his own bike dealership. I was so proud of my man.

I’d started promoting my business more as well, and me and Sidney were like a duo offering custom soul food meal planning and prepping for Rose Valley Hills.

Working at Southern Delightz was still my main priority, though, especially since Ma planned on retiring within the next few years.

While she hadn’t told me yet, I felt like she had a thing for one of the members of the club, because she’d been acting like a little hangaround lately.

He was bringing her to more and more events, and they’d even gone on a weekend trip together last month.

She wasn’t claiming Robert, but I could tell she liked him.

I feared it was her love for Daddy that made her want to take things so slow, and I respected that, but I also wanted her to live her life while she still had one to live.

So whenever she came to me and told me there was something between them, I’d make sure she knew how happy I was for her and Robert.

I was so mesmerized by the scenery that the ride took what felt like no time.

Confusion filled me when we made it to Sunny Cliffs and TWR was there.

I figured Wicked invited them, and since it was his birthday, I didn’t mind.

After he helped me off the bike, I took my shades and helmet off.

He smiled that wicked smile and pulled me close before tonguing me down, holding me in place with his palm gripping my ass—as if there was a chance I’d pull away.

“You know I love you, right?” he questioned.

“If I know nothing else, I know that,” I affirmed, looking into the eyes of the man I loved before I even knew what love was.

“You trust me?”

“More than anyone else in this world.”

Without another word, Wicked took my hand and led me toward our people.

My confusion grew even more when I noticed my mom and friends and his mom and sister were here as well.

They were all looking at us with these goofy expressions until the line they’d formed in front of the cave opened, revealing a heart made of roses and candles.

Gasping, I covered my mouth as my eyes watered.

Realization of what this was settled in, and I immediately felt my heart race in anticipation.

“Come on,” Wicked encouraged, slowly leading me into the heart.

As always, I followed his lead, fighting back my tears.

Once we made it to the middle, Wicked took a deep breath, then kneeled in front of me.

“I know it’s my birthday, but this was the perfect day to ask you to be my wife.

You’re the greatest gift I could ever receive, and I’m most happy about having you in my life for the rest of my life.

” When he pulled out an oval ring that sparkled under the setting sun, I could no longer hold back my tears. “Will you marry me, bae?”

Nodding, I giggled as I fought to find my voice. “Yes,” I whispered, “a million times yes.”

Wicked released a shaky breath as he slid the ring onto my finger.

Everyone around us cheered as he stood and pulled me into his arms, but their excitement sounded muffled under the beating of my heart.

My man was going to be my man forever. I was so happy, all I could do was cry.

Wicked chuckled as he wiped my tears before connecting his lips with mine.

“I love you so much,” I whispered before kissing him again and wrapping my arms around his neck.

“I love you more,” he challenged, and with the way he’d looked out for me since we met, I was inclined to believe that was true.

God.

I was such a lucky, no, blessed woman to be loved by such a great man.

The Beginning

Because True Love Has No End

P.S. it will not have anything to do with the motorcycle club, but Caden’s story comes out early June. Make sure you’re following me on social media or subscribed to my mailing list to find out when, because this is NOT the kind of man you want to miss.
