Prologue

Alex Rose has agreed to play Callum O’Leary’s game: win seven challenges of his choosing and walk away with a million dollars. Twenty-nine women have tried before her. None have won.

The catch? Every time Alex loses a game, she has to submit to one of Callum’s punishments. His punishments escalate, which is why no woman has ever won Callum’s game.

Callum doesn’t expect any woman to win, let alone Alex.

His desires are dark and twisted, which is why he plays these games.

As a self-made millionaire, Callum doesn’t need to entice women to go out with him.

They already throw themselves at him. He plays these games though, because it’s the only way for him to really get what he wants.

Which is to push women to their breaking points.

So far, Alex has won two games. She outsmarted Callum at the start by winning the first two games.

Callum came back with a vengeance and won the next two.

The first punishment Callum subjected Alex to was relatively mild…

on paper. The punishment was that Callum would pick out Alex’s outfit for dinner.

The catch, though, was that Alex’s outfit also included things she wore under her clothes.

Alex tried to outsmart Callum by taking the batteries out of the toy he asked her to wear, but he caught on and punished her for that.

After that debacle, Callum challenged Alex to a game of Blitz chess.

He won, but instead of punishing her immediately afterwards, they had a picnic where, surprisingly, Callum opened up about some personal things.

For a few moments, Alex sensed a real connection between them.

The moment was fleeting, though, because as soon as Callum started feeling vulnerable, he shut things down, and subjected her to a brutal second punishment.

Callum told Alex to go down on him while he took a conference call.

Only the call would last at least 30 minutes.

Alex didn’t take her punishment lying down, though. She turned things around on Callum by teasing him right up until the edge, and then stopping abruptly.

Callum’s furious.

He’s never had a woman push back against him like this.

And he’s sure as hell going to do something about it.
