46. Our Ultimate Undoing
OUR ULTIMATE UNDOING
Lorelei
“Oh, fuck, Axel, I’m going to come…”
“Not yet, baby. I want you to wait for me.” He gripped my hips, slamming into me from behind as I dangled from the fuzzy cuffs hitched to the wall.
“Do you feel that?” His chest blanketed my back as he bent over to whisper in my ear.
“Do you feel how your pussy is starving for my cock?” He slowed his brutal thrusts, pulling back before slowly filling me again.
I felt spineless, nothing but a bag of flesh and blood and so much intense feeling. If it wasn’t for his firm hold and the manacles hoisting me up, I would’ve collapsed onto the plush carpet below my bare feet.
We’d done nothing but fuck for days. In his room, his car, my dorm, even in the library between the stacks.
This morning after waking in his arms, we’d crept down to one of the pleasure rooms of the Sigma Delta basement.
Even though it was only us this time, I could practically hear the moans echoing all around the opulent chambers from our last visit.
The scent of lust and depravity filled the air, only escalating my excitement.
I’d wanted Axel so badly that day.
And now I had him.
But will it last?
That pesky voice of doubt whispered through my subconscious, sounding suspiciously like my mother after her third martini.
“Get ready, blondie, I’m going to come all over that beautiful pussy.”
It was a damned good thing I’d been on the pill since I turned sixteen or all this amazing sex would have been a problem.
“Are you ready?”
“Oh, yes,” I groaned.
He bent over me, and his hand came around my chest to toy with my nipple as he thrust harder. His free hand slid up the inside of my thigh until he found my throbbing center. With his thumb rubbing my clit, he picked up the tempo, each thrust pushing me closer to the edge.
“Are you going to come for me like a good girl?”
“Yes,” I panted.
“And who does your pussy belong to?” he rasped out, the jagged edge to his tone a sure sign he was barely holding on.
Damn, I loved that, the control I had over this incredible, powerful man.
“You,” I whimpered. “My pussy is yours, Ax.”
“That’s right. Mine and only mine. Don’t you ever forget that.” His thumb continued its devastating circles around the taut bundle of nerves as his cock slid in and out. Harder. Faster.
“Oh, gawd, Axel…” A groan ripped out a second later as fiery ecstasy surged from the base of my spine to the tips of my toes. He was relentless, railing into me as I hung from the furry manacles extending every ounce of pleasure.
I felt it when his cock twitched inside me, and tantalizing warmth filled my core.
He moaned my name as he came, that word on his lips only intensifying the rush of pleasure as we orgasmed in nearly perfect sync.
With his arm still wrapped around my waist, holding me up, and his enormous frame blanketing mine, we held still, only the sound of our ragged breaths filling the silence for a long moment.
“I don’t know about you, but I could get used to this,” he whispered against the shell of my ear, igniting another round of goosebumps across my bare flesh.
“Umhmm,” I murmured, too scared to let something stupid slip out with my emotions so scattered.
It wasn’t just the incredible sex, but the nights I spent cocooned in the safety of his arms. I felt invincible with Axel at my side. Which was reckless and stupid, especially since I knew very well that this wouldn’t last.
Not with Brock’s threats looming over us.
Ax slowly peeled his body from mine, then unfastened the pink cuffs so I slumped against his bare chest. Beads of perspiration glistened across his torso, but I leaned into him anyway, both of our bodies slickened with sweat and bodily fluids.
He easily lifted me and plopped us both down on the adjacent couch, positioning my hips between his thighs.
His arms laced around my waist, and he nestled his chin in the crook of my shoulder.
We sat there for another long minute, neither of us speaking, in the dimly lit room.
My heart rapped out a manic beat at the intimate moment.
I tipped my head back and rested it against his shoulder, reveling in his musky scent and the gentle rise and fall of his chest. There were still so many things we hadn’t discussed, but I’d been too much of a chicken to bring them up.
Plus, I’d been enjoying the endless, spine-tingling sex too much to ruin it.
The thud of approaching footfalls sent me scrambling off Axel’s lap. “What was that?”
“It’s probably just one of the other brothers.” He tossed me my sundress and leisurely stepped into his boxers and shorts in one go. “Maybe they heard us fucking. You weren’t exactly quiet, blondie.” A mischievous glint brightened the sparkle of sapphire in his eyes.
I tugged the dress on then found my panties on the floor and slid them up my thighs just as the door swung open.
“We have to stop meeting like this.” Killian darkened the doorway with Lexi by his side. Her cheeks were flushed, and her hair probably looked a lot like mine did right now.
“What are you guys doing here? I thought you were spending the weekend on the boat.” Axel tugged his shirt over his head like it was no big deal we’d almost been caught naked in the sex room.
Killian jerked his thumb at Lexi. “The seas got a little rough, and she wasn’t feeling so well.”
“Oh shit, I hope she’s not pregnant.” The words spilled out before I could stop them.
Lexi’s eyes bugged out of her head, and I couldn’t help the tiny bit of satisfaction that came with it. It was petty and stupid, and made no sense since I couldn’t give two shits about Killian anymore. I guess despite all my goals for personal growth, I was still the same old Lorelei in some ways.
“Lexi is not pregnant,” Killian hissed before throwing his arm around her. “But if she was, I’d be fucking thrilled. It would only mean that I’d get to marry her and make her officially mine that much sooner.”
Now it was my turn to be shocked. I hazarded a quick peek at Axel, whose expression was just as stunned as mine.
“Damn Kill, you sure have come a long way since Lexi popped back into your life.” Ax stood, clothes finally back on, and moved beside me, eyes intent on his best friend.
Killian shrugged, tucking the redhead into his side. “I’m not the only one.” His dark gaze razed over his roommate before pivoting to me. “You know, I never bought this dating Lorelei shit, but I guess I was wrong. You really seem happy.” He paused, studying me. “Both of you do.”
“Yeah, he’s right,” Lexi interjected. “I’m really happy for you, Axel.”
“We all are,” Killian added, and he didn’t even sound reluctant this time. “Even though it’s still fucking weird.”
Heat coated my cheeks at all the depraved sexual acts I’d done for Killian in an effort to stay in his good graces.
He used me and I was obsessed with him, but that was all it had ever been.
Being with Axel, even if most of it was only pretend, opened my eyes to a type of relationship I never realized I deserved.
“And I was secretly hoping you and Cordi would work things out.” Lexi’s slim shoulders lifted. “No offense Lorelei.”
“How is she doing by the way?” Ax’s quiet question sent my heart slamming against my ribs.
“She’s okay. You know Cordi.” A rueful smile slid across her lips. “But I think she realizes what a mistake she made when she let you go. She’s been kind of all over the place lately.”
Axel tensed beside me. He didn’t say a word, but he didn’t need to, I could feel his mood shift. I slid out from under his arm, slipping on a fake smile.
“Well, I don’t know about you guys, but I think I’ve had about enough of this little awkward encounter.” I found my sandals in the corner and stepped into them.
“Wait, I’ll go with you,” Axel called out.
I was already halfway through the door and offered Killian and Lexi a quick wave over my shoulder.
“Blondie, wait!” Ax caught me before I made it up the steps to the main foyer and spun me around, big hands squeezing my shoulders. “Why are you running off?”
“Did you ever talk to Cordelia after her drunken confession?”
He slowly shook his head, huffing out a breath.
“I think you should,” I forced out, despite the pain.
“What? Why?”
“Because whatever was or is still between you two needs to be resolved.” Clearly, that last mind-blowing orgasm had messed with my head. Why would I be pushing this?
Because you love him, you idiot, and you want this to be real. Okay, that time it was definitely not my mother’s voice.
Those ocean blue eyes searched mine, a tornado of emotions simmering just below the surface. “I don’t know…”
“You have to, Axel, or how else will we know if this is real?”
He dragged his hand through the tumble of dirty blond locks. “It felt pretty damned real when I was buried inside you just a few minutes ago, didn’t it?”
I nodded slowly, clenching my jaw to keep it from trembling. I was terrified of losing Axel, but in these last few months I’d also realized I deserved more. I wanted a boyfriend who really loved me. I wouldn’t be anyone’s second choice.
“Okay… I’ll do it if that’s what you want.” His hand lifted to my cheek, and he gently brushed his thumb across my skin.
I blinked quickly to keep the burning tears from spilling over. Was I crazy to risk losing him? Probably. But better to know now than in a couple months when I was completely in love.
“These past few months were not at all what I expected, blondie. And the past week, well, damn…” A rueful grin curled the corner of those kissable lips.
“Same here.”
He pressed a chaste kiss to my forehead before releasing me. My body immediately rebelled at the loss of his, but I held strong, curling my hands into fists at my side to keep from reaching out for him.
“I should probably go now and get it over with, right?”
My chin dipped, despite the knot of emotion tightening my throat.
“Come on, I’ll walk you out.” He held the basement door open and led me through the massive foyer of the Sigma Delta house. A few brothers already littered the living spaces, those ominous snake and dagger tattoos peeking out from beneath the shirts of a select few.
If Axel and I survived this, I vowed to force the truth out of him. If we had any hope of actually being together, it wasn’t only Cordelia standing in our way. She was the easy part. It was Brock who could be our ultimate undoing.
