The Jeon house was alive with color and laughter that bright afternoon.
Sunlight streamed through the windows, making the strings of marigolds and jasmine flowers hanging across the hall glow like tiny suns.
The air smelled sweet with mehendi paste, fresh flowers, and sweets sent by tae's family as good omen, mingling with the aroma of snacks being served in the courtyard.
In the center of the living room, a cushioned seat had been prepared for Jungkook.
Bright silk pillows in orange, yellow, and green surrounded her, while brass plates with mehendi cones, rose petals, and small sweets were kept nearby.
Her friends and cousins bustled around, laughing and teasing each other as they adjusted their lehengas and dupattas.
When Jungkook arrived, wearing a light purple lehenga with delicate embroidery, everyone cheered
“Our bride is here!”
Her cheeks flushed slightly as she waved and made her way to the seat.
The mehendi ritual began playfully. Her female cousins and aunts eagerly picked up cones and gently applied designs on their own palms and feet.
“Wait, wait! Not too small!”
A girl said to her best friend,.she laughed, drawing tiny hearts on her fingers. An aunt added little floral patterns along her wrists, whispering and chatting with other ladies. Even her younger cousins tried their hand, creating tiny, messy dots that made everyone giggle.
While the girls applied mehendi, someone played soft folk songs on a speaker, and others clapped along, creating a cheerful rhythm.
Jungkook sat patiently, occasionally nudging a cousin or laughing at a playful comment, her hands slowly filling with intricate designs that symbolized luck, love, and prosperity.
The professional mehendi artist took over, carefully crafting detailed patterns on Jungkook’s palms and feet. Sunlight caught the fresh green mehendi, making it glow on her fair skin. Around her, everyone sipped sweet lassi and nibbled on snacks, cheering and singing.
Jungkook's palms bore elaborate floral and paisley patterns, and tiny hidden initials were tucked into the designs for her groom to discover later. The room was a riot of laughter, colors, and blessings, every corner filled with warmth and joy. The Jeon house wasn’t just decorated with flowers and drapes, it was glowing with love, teasing, and the excitement of a wedding about to begin.
It was time for lunch, the elders headed to the kitchen to serve everyone their meal, jungkook's palm was beautifully decorated by the mehendi now only her feet was left,Mrs Jeon from the kitchen called Mira, and handed her a plate of food and instructed her to feed kook.
Mira came over, carrying a plate piled high with food, and sat down beside Jungkook.
“Ah, Mira, you really are the best! I was so hungry, did you even notice?”
Jungkook said, grinning.Mira laughed softly.
“Of course I did! That’s exactly why I brought food for you. Now open your mouth, I’m going to feed you.”
Jungkook nodded, and Mira carefully fed her the first bite.
“Show me the design.”
Mira said, glancing at Jungkook’s hands. Jungkook held out her palms, showing the intricate mehendi patterns.
“Aww… this is absolutely beautiful,”
Mira said, then turned to look at the mehendi artist who was still decorating Jungkook’s feet with henna.
“Didi, after the bride, will you put some mehendi on me too?”
The mehendi artist chuckled
“Of course! Why not? I’ll make sure you get some.”
Mira smiled as she fed Jungkook another bite, laughing at her tiny, happy reactions.
“By the way, Jungkook,”
Mira continued.
“Your in-laws are so sweet! Look at how beautifully they’ve prepared this mehendi plate for you.”
Jungkook nodded.
“Yes… they’re really wonderful.”
Mira leaned closer, teasing.
“And did you write Jijaji’s name on your hands?”
Jungkook’s cheeks turned a soft shade of pink.
“Yes, I did.”
“Hmm… now let’s see if Jijaji can actually find it or not,” Mira teased.
Jungkook rolled her eyes, a small smile playing on her lips.
“Don’t worry, he’ll find it, I’m sure of it.”
“Ohho, so much trust in your husband already?” Mira laughed.
“Stop it!” Jungkook said, laughing and hiding her face shyly.

The Kim house was buzzing with energy that afternoon.
Unlike the cozy warmth of the Jeon house, this house was spacious and luxurious, every corner polished and sparkling.
The main hall was draped in bright yellow and orange fabrics, with strings of marigold garlands hanging from the ceiling.
A golden sunlight poured through the tall windows, illuminating the room and making the decorations shimmer.
In the center, a grand cushioned seat had been prepared for Taehyung.
Around him, trays filled with mehendi cones, sweets, and flower petals were carefully arranged.
His female cousins, aunts, and close friends were bustling about, some applying mehendi on each other, some chatting excitedly, while the faint beat of a dhol played in the background.
Taehyung, sitting in a crisp kurta, tried to maintain his usual calm and composed expression. But despite his efforts, there was a subtle spark of amusement in his eyes as his younger cousins approached him with small mehendi cones.
“Now, now, don’t make it messy!”
one cousin teased, holding his hand steady as she drew a simple small floral pattern on his palm.
Taehyung’s hands were slowly decorated, each cousin and aunt contributing a small design—tiny flowers on the fingertips, and a few playful initials scribbled in secret spots. He let out a quiet laugh when a younger cousin tried to sneak a heart onto his hand.
“Really? A heart?”
he murmured, shaking his head.
Meanwhile, the rest of the women sang light folk songs, clapping to the rhythm, while others guided him gently to try a playful step or two in the middle of the room.
The professional mehendi artist finally took over, adding small, neat designs on his palms, making him sit straighter than ever, though a small, rare smile tugged at his lips.
The air was fragrant with mehendi paste, flowers, and fresh sweets, and laughter echoed off the polished walls.
Even in his usual calm demeanor, Taehyung felt the warmth and joy of his family surrounding him.
Every corner of the Kim house was alive, glowing not just with decorations, but with love, teasing, and celebration.
As the ceremony continued, his cousins offered him snacks, and his aunts whispered blessings, while the music and laughter created a perfect afternoon of fun and bonding.
Taehyung’s hands, now marked with playful and elegant small mehendi patterns , felt like a small but meaningful symbol of this joyful start to the wedding celebrations.
The other family members had seats on the couch with their own personal mehendi artist to carve design on their hand, everyone was busy in their own little bubble of joy.
Yet, the only one left was jimin, she too wanted to apply mehendi but the work was pending in the kitchen, every one left responsibility on her shoulder despite having many workers, she felt bad but she knew that this is her in laws house.
Suga dressed in a yellow crisp kurta was outside watching the other cousins dancing on dhol beats, his body was here but his mind was inside the house.
He excused himself and walked inside, his eyes roam across the living room to find that one person but he couldn't find her, he walked towards his mother, Eunchae, who was sitting with other ladies of the house
"Maa, where is jimin?"
" Huh, jimin, she's inside kitchen beta"
Suga frowned "okay"
Dadi rolled her eyes muttering under her breath
" Always roaming around clutching her wife's pallu"
That angered suga but he choose to ignore her, he walked inside the kitchen where he saw jimin, beautiful dressed in a yellow saree with delicate embroidery, making kheer, beads of sweat formed on her forehead, she wiped those with her saree pallu, and again got busy in stirring the kheer.
"Jimin"
Suga called out for her, and she immediately looked at the door entrance found him standing there in a beautiful crisp yellow kurta, they we're wearing matching clothes.
"Y-yes?"
"Come to our room"
Saying that yoongi went from there, jimin looked at the place where he stood before and then turned to the workers who was already staring at her
"Someone look after this, I'll come back soon"
A maid nodded, and jimin walked out of the kitchen. She walked towards her and Suga's room and entered insidw and saw him standing near the window
"Y-yes, what is it?"
Suga turned around and walked towards her.
"What were you doing alone in the kitchen?" Suga asked in a cold tone
"I-is, I was making kheer"
Jimin said nervously wondering what mistake she did his time.
"Did everyone else just vanish? It’s not only your job to manage the kitchen"
Suga snapped, his sharp gaze fixed on Jimin.
"B-but… it’s my responsibility. I’m the daughter-in-law of this house--"
Jimin started, flustered.
“Yes, you’re the daughter-in-law, not a servant! Everyone else is sitting there, getting mehendi done, and you’re stuck alone in the kitchen,”
he said, his voice firm.Jimin stammered, glancing down.
“D-dadi… she told me to… to take care of the kitchen first and do mehendi later.”
Suga’s eyes softened for just a moment before hardening again.
“From now on, I don’t want to see you alone in the kitchen. Last time you burned your hand… what else are you planning to do?”
“W-why are you saying this?” she whispered, confused.
“Because you worry me. Now go, fix your saree, and go sit straight for mehendi. It’s the house’s wedding, and you’re the only daughter-in-law for now. You need to get ready properly,”
he said, then turned and walked away.
Jimin just stared after him, stunned. Her heart fluttered and her cheeks warmed.
“What’s gotten into him today? Why is he suddenly thinking about me like this?”
Jimin smoothed down her saree, still feeling a little flustered from Suga’s words.
She took a deep breath and walked toward the living room, where the mehendi area was filled with laughter, music, and colorful decorations.
The women were busy applying designs on each other’s hands, and trays of sweets and snacks were being passed around.
As she stepped closer, her eyes instinctively found Suga. He was leaning casually against the doorway, arms crossed, watching her with that calm, unreadable expression. But today, there was something different—a subtle softness in his gaze, like he was noticing every little detail about her.
Jimin’s heart skipped a beat.
"Why does it feel like he’s seeing me for the first time?" she thought, a shy smile tugging at her lips. She tried to focus on the mehendi artist kneeling in front of her, but she could feel his eyes following her every movement.
The artist carefully applied the green paste onto her palms, tracing delicate patterns, while Jimin kept glancing toward Suga, wondering if he would come closer or just stay there watching. A faint warmth spread across her cheeks every time their eyes met.
Finally, Suga stepped slightly forward, just enough to be nearer without drawing attention. “Sit properly,” he said softly, almost like a whisper meant only for her. His tone wasn’t harsh anymore, it carried a quiet insistence, a gentle command that made her obey without a word.
Jimin nodded, trying to hide her racing heart, and settled into her seat. Even with her hands decorated in mehendi and the room full of people, it felt like the moment belonged only to the two of them,a small, quiet connection amid the festive chaos.
And even between all the loud noises all she could hear was her fast thumping heart beat and a thought which lingered in her mind
"What has happened to him today, why is he acting so soft?"
Dadi with her calculating, sharp eyes glanced across the room and landed on jimin who was getting her mehendi done, she excused herself and walked towards jimin and Suga who was just standing near her
"Heyy you, what are you doing here?, didn't i said you to look after the kitchen?"
"Umm d..dadi I was looking af--"
"Now you're gonna say that you won't?, I gave you only one task, and you don't even now how to fulfill it, i knew it you couldn't do anything, except running away from your house for a man"
Jimin eyes got teary listening to her sharp words.
Suga with a calm yet scary face walked towards them and asked
"What happened dadi?"
"You shut up shameless boy, I told you, I stopped you from marrying her but no, your love was blind, I asked this girl to do only one job, that was to look after the kitchen, but she doesn't understand, look at her , sitting here shamelessly applying mehendi on her hand"
"Enough dadi, I heard enough, don't ever talkike that about my wife, i won't tolerate it, and i was the one who dragged her from the kitchen so she can apply mehendi, of you want then scold me, don't ever say anything to her"
Dadi just looked at him with shock, thank goodness because of the loud Chaos nobody can hear them, except the mehendi artist who was applying mehendi on jimin's hand, she was just looking at them with confuse eyes.
Jimin took her hand back, as she stood up straightening her saree
"I..I'll go, look after the k..kitche--"
"No need, you'll sit here until your mehendi is finished, and if anyone says anything then I'll directly talk with elder brother, then he'll handle it"
Suga said looking at dadi, who shook her head in defeat and walked towards her place to sit with the ladies
"You sit down and apply mehendi, and don't even dare to get up until your mehendi is done, understand?"
Suga asked in a firm tone making jimin nodded, she said down giving her hand out again to the artist , suga walked away from there, the mehendi artist smiled applying mehendi
"Seems like your husband loves you very much"
Jimin looked down at the henna
"It's not like that"
"I know i shouldn't say this, but that old women is very cunning and sharp mouth, and I love the way your husband took a stand for you infront of her" she smiled, jimin looked at her with big eyes
"What do you mean?"
"I mean, it does seems like your husband loves you, and although at that time you couldn't take a stand for yourself but he did, you should be proud because you have a husband like him"
Jimin just hummed as the artist continued doing her work
