Chp 28- Shielded in His Arms
Tae and Jungkook reached Jeon mansion, tae was sitting on the couch with Mr Jeon when his phone suddenly ranged, it was suga he picked up the call
"Hello, yes suga?"
"Bhai!, please come home as soon as possible!" Suga said in his worried voice
Tae forehead formed a crease, he asked
"What happened?, is everything alright?"
"No bhai, you please just come home fast!" Suga insisted
"Okay, okay I'll be there" saying that tae declined the call, mr Jeon kept his hand on tae's shoulder and asked worriedly
"Damad ji, is everything alright?" Mr Jeon asked worriedly
"I think something happened, I have to leave appa"
Tae said,and Mr Jeon nodded understandingly. That's when Jungkook came out of the kitchen with Mrs Jeon behind her
"What happened ji?, is everything fine?"
"I have to leave, you can stay here for one more day if you want, I'll come back to take you" tae said getting up and keeping his mobile in his pocket.
Jungkook shook her head as no and said,
"No, I'm coming with you too, we'll come here some other day"
Tae glanced at her for a minute and then nodded
"Let's go, we have to pack our things" tae said, Jungkook nodded and turned to her eomma and appa and they both nodded.
Tae and Jungkook both packed their suitcase and walked down with tae holding two suitcases. Jungkook hugged her parents and Minho who just came from outside.
"We'll come here soon okay, and please take care of yourselves"
Jungkook said to her parents and brother and they nodded and bid them bye ,watching their car moving out.
In the car
"You could have stayed with them for some days" tae said focusing on the road.
"Something happened in the kim mansion, and i can't stay here when you all are going through some problems."
Tae sighed and said
"I'm sure it's not something big to worry about, i hope so"
"But why did suga brother call you so suddenly?, and he didn't even tell why he called back so suddenly."
"I don't know, we'll know when we reach there, but i hope so that there is nothing to worry about"
After a half an hour ride, they reached kim mansion, where there was a big crowd of people gathering in front of the grand door protesting against something, tae parked his car and came out of the car,people started shouting more loud, behind him Jungkook also came out.
"What is happening here ji?"
Tae looked around confusingly, then suddenly someone threw an egg on him, his white shirt got stained, and one by one everyone started throwing things like tomatoes, eggs, and some even threw stones at him.
Kook eyes got widened, tae immediately turned around facing kook and hugged her tightly hiding her from the crowd and all the things started hitting on tae's back.
Someone threw stones on his back, and some even cow dung. Jungkook looked up at him with teary eyes and tae looked down at her.
He pushed her head on his chest whispering
"Nothing will happen, I'm here"
The crowd's voice got louder and venomous.
"He was raising a snake in his own house!"
"I’m telling you, he definitely had a hand in this incident!"
"He keeps a devil under his roof and pretends to be a good man. Beat him!"
They threw stones and tae hissed in pain, but still he protected Jungkook bearing all the pain.
The guards immediately surrounded them, pushing the crowd aside and leading them towards the grand door, they slightly opened it first tae let Jungkook enter inside and then he himself entered.
All the kim family gathered in the mansion was shocked, their face got pale looking at their state, especially tae's state.
Jihyo rushed towards the and others followed behind her, she cupped tae's cheek and asked.
"Beta!, are you fine, are you hurt anywhere, Jungkook are you okay?"
"I'm fine maa, but he got hurt " Jungkook says, her eyes brimming with tears.
"Come beta please sit here" said dadi, guiding taehyung to sit on the couch, tae looked at Jungkook and asked worriedly.
"Are you okay?, you aren't hurt right?"
"I'm fine ji, but you-"
"I'm fine, maa, please check whether she's hurt or not"
Jihyo nodded and said.
"First let me treat you then I'll check her"
"No, check her first"
Jungkook shook her head and said with teary eyes
"I'm fine ji, please let her check you first"
Tae shook his head and stood up dusting his dirty white shirt which was not white anymore.
"No, first tell me what happened here?"
Minjun with teary eyes sat infront of taehyung with his hands joined.
"Taehyung, beta!!, please save my son!"
Tae held his hand and made him stand up and asked confusedly.
"What do you mean?, save?, who?, woojin?, where is he?" Tae looked around the hall but didn't find him.
"Police came brother!, and they took woojin with them" jhope said with seriousness in his voice
"For what?!!" Tae asked in fury
"They said they found some evidence against woojin at the crime scene, so they arrested him" Suga said looking at taehyung
"What?!" Tae looked at suga with shock eyes.
"Woojin?!, he can never do this, I trust my brother!" Tae said and minjun nodded
"Yes yes taehyung, that's what I'm saying, woojin can never do this, please forget everything that happened in the past, if you want I'll fall down on my knees and will beg, but please save my son taehyung, bring him back"
Minjun cried, tae held his shoulder and said.
"I promise you uncle, if woojin is innocent, then I'll do anything to bring him back, don't worry!" Minjun nodded hugging taehyung, and taehyung pat his back.
Jihyo looked at Jungkook.
"Jungkook, beta , you go upstairs and change, I'll tell the workers to drop your suitcase in your room"
Jungkook nodded and looked at taehyung, tae nodded and she excused herself, climbing the stairs and walking towards her room.
She stood infront of the mirror removing the pallu from her head and letting her hair fall down, she one by one removed her bangles,but her focus was not on that, she was staring at her reflection thinking deeply.
"I don't know woojin brother properly, but since he's my husband's brother, I don't believe that he can do that, although from the first day I had noticed his eyes on my, I felt uncomfortable, but i excused it, but what if he's the only one who did that?
, chii, i can't even imagine of it, a brother of such a great person can never be like this, and even if he had done this, I'm pretty sure husband will not leave him like that, and i from my side will do everything to give that pretty soul justice"
Jungkook was deep in her thoughts, when the sound of the door opening brought her back, she looked back and saw the workers placing their suitcase in the room and leaving immediately, she walked towards the wardrobe and removed a fresh shirt and pants for taehyung.
She kept it on the bed and that's when tae entered inside the room.
He came and sat on the edge of the bed, keeping his hand on his forehead staring at the floor unconsciously.
Jungkook came and sat beside him, with the first aid box, his back was bleeding staining the white shirt with his blood.
"Ji, please don't take tension, everything will be alright" Jungkook said with sympathy and assurance in her voice.
Jungkook hesitantly kept his hand on his shoulder
"B-but what if, what if he has really done it?, then what ji?" Jungkook asked hesitantly
Tae’s eyes were bloodshot with fury. He kept his gaze fixed on the floor, his jaw tightening as he forced the words out through gritted teeth.
"Then I'll make sure he rot in the prison for his entire life taking all the painful punishment,I'll never forgive him if he had done this, I'll forget that I ever had a brother named Woojin"
There was silence for a moment, when kook's eyes again fixed on his bloody back. The white shirt was soaking in his blood, her eyes brimmed with tears, and some falling down on her cheeks.
Tae looked at her confusingly, his eyes softened when he saw her crying, he asked gently
"Why are you crying?"
Jungkook pointed at his back wiping her tears.
"What?" Tae asked confusedly raising his hand to wipe her tears.
"Your back is bleeding,it must be hurting you"
"No, it isn't, right now seeing your tears hurt more" tae said softly
"Remove your shirt" Jungkook said all of a sudden making tae's ear red, and his eyes widened
"W-what did you say?"
"Remove your shirt ji" Jungkook said wiping her tears and keeping the first aid box on her lap, she looked at tae who was still staring at her with his red face.
"What?"
Tae shook his head and started opening his shirt with his one hand and eyes staring deep on jungkook's face.
After unbuttoning, tae pulled his shirt off, revealing a strong, well-built frame.
His shoulders were wide and his chest firm, the faint definition of his abs visible as he breathed.
For a moment, Kook could only stare, caught off guard by the quiet confidence in the way Tae stood.
With red cheeks kook looked at tae, who was watching her every moment, she cleared her throat with red hue on her cheeks and said looking down on her lap
"Turn around, I'll apply medicine on your wounds" Jungkook said in her small voice
Tae nodded and turned around facing his back on kook, Jungkook took the cotton and soaked it with antiseptic and wiped on his wounds with gentle hand, tae bit his lip bearing the pain
Jungkook picked up the tube squeezing the medicine out and with shivering hands applied it on tae's wound making tae hissed in pain, she flinched lightly with eyes widened.
"Sorry, I'll do it gently" saying that she blew on his wounds and then carefully covered it with a fresh bandage.
"The wounds will heal, I'll take care of it" Jungkook said keeping everything back in the box, and stood up walking towards the wardrobe to keep it inside
Tae's eyes followed her every moment.
"You can take a bath, should i warm the water?"
Tae shook his head and stood up unbuckling his belt, Jungkook with red cheeks turned around.
"I had kept your clothes on the bed, wear it after bathing" tae nodded taking the clothes with him to the bathroom. And here Jungkook sat on the bed with her hands on her cheeks.
After some moment, tae came out wearing his pants and stood in front of the mirror, his bare chest giving Jungkook the best view of her life, tae combed his hair and picked up the perfume bottle and sprinkled it on his body.
He tried wearing his shirt but hissed in pain when he stretched his arms, Jungkook immediately walked towards him and stood behind him.
"Please don't strain it, it'll hurt you, let me help"
Tae shook his head
"No it's okay, it's just a small wound, I can wear a shirt"
"Please" Jungkook looked at tae's reflection on the mirror with her pretty round doe eyes, making taehyung weak, and he being hypnotized by his wife's eyes nodded his head.
Jungkook took the shirt from his hand and gently slid his hand in the shirt carefully not to touch his wounds.
After making him wear the shirt, tae wore his watch and set his hair,wearing his coat. Jungkook's forehead forms a crease, she looked at him and asked
"Where are you going?"
"Police station"
"But it's dangerous, people are still outside, they can hurt you, you're already hurt, no,please don't go" Jungkook said worriedly
"Nothing will happen, I have guards, and I'm going from the backside of the mansion, don't worry" tae turned around facing her and said softly
"Don't worry yourself too much, nothing can happen to me, I'll come back after meeting the officer and Woojin"
Jungkook slowly nodded
"But please, be safe, I'll be waiting" tae's eyes softened at her worry,he thought how can a person be so kind and pretty at the same time.
"I'll be safe, for you" tae said gently, and leaned in kissing kook's forehead,making her close her eyes, cause this is their first skinship. Kook felt the whole zoo in her stomach, shiver running down her spine, yet the moment felt euphoric to her.
"Take care" tae said taking his mobile and walking out of the room leaving kook behind cause at this moment his heart was beating so fast, that he could even beat the speed of light.
"What the hell did i just do?" Tae asked himself, slowly descending the stairs.
Otherside
Kook sat on the bed blushing message, she touched her forehead and a beautiful smile crept on her face.
"He kissed me!!"
