Chp 39- When Colors Turned into Chaos #3

"I'm sorry," he whispered. "I shouldn't have spoken to you like that downstairs, especially in front of everyone. I was angry, and..."

Jungkook looked at him through the mirror.

"Did I ask you to justify yourself?"

Taehyung paused and slowly lifted his head, meeting her eyes in the reflection. A small smile tugged at her lips.

"I know your temper is frightening." She turned slightly to face him. "But I also know that no matter how angry you are.. you could never intentionally hurt me."

Her words softened the tension that still lingered inside him.

Taehyung gently turned her around until she was facing him. Carefully brushing the damp strands of hair away from her face, he smiled.

"My wife is starting to understand me very well."

Jungkook smiled back.

"If I don't understand you, then who will?"

After a brief pause, her expression became slightly pouty.

"But still.... You shouldn't have hit my brother that badly."

Taehyung sighed.

"They did something that left me with no choice."

Jungkook frowned.

"But what exactly did they do?, What made you so angry that you punched Bhai like that?"

Taehyung clicked his tongue, clearly uncomfortable.

"How do I even explain it..."

She folded her arms.

"With that same mouth you're using right now."

Taehyung gave up.

"They were kissing."

The words came out so bluntly that Jungkook's cheeks instantly turned scarlet.

"W-What?, K-Kissing?"

Taehyung nodded.

"Yes, I know couples these days think kissing is normal. But inside the house?, With everyone nearby?, I couldn't tolerate that."

Jungkook couldn't resist teasing him.

"Oh?" She raised an eyebrow playfully. "You're saying that as if you weren't insisting on kissing me today while everyone was around."

For a moment, Taehyung remained completely serious.

"That's different. We're husband and wife."

He looked directly into her eyes.

"But they aren't married. In fact.... They aren't even officially in a relationship."

He let out a quiet sigh.

"I know Minho. I've known for a long time that he loves Tzuyu. But that doesn't mean they should lose their sense of boundaries. I'll admit...My decision was made in the heat of the moment. But it wasn't the wrong decision."

He crossed his arms thoughtfully. "To be honest...I was already planning to speak to the family about Minho and Tzuyu. What happened today only forced the matter into the open."

Jungkook folded her arms, pretending to be upset.

"So it didn't matter if my poor brother had to become your punching bag first?"

Taehyung rubbed the back of his neck with a guilty smile.

"I had to hit him. I had already warned him to be patient. I promised him that if he proved he was worthy of my sister, I would personally arrange their marriage. But the two of them seemed to be in too much of a hurry. So I had to make that decision."

Jungkook looked at him quietly before speaking in a calm voice.

"I understand, I truly do. I know your intentions weren't wrong."

She gently took one of his hands in hers.

"But.... You could have handled it differently. My parents were standing right there. They deserved to hear everything calmly instead of watching their son get punched before anyone even explained what had happened."

Taehyung lowered his gaze.

He knew she wasn't defending Minho's actions. She was simply asking him to consider how painful the situation must have been for her family.

After a long silence, he nodded.

"You're right, I let my anger speak before my mind did, I don't regret deciding on their marriage...But I do regret the way I handled it."

Jungkook smiled softly.

"That's all I wanted to hear."

She reached up and gently straightened the collar of his kurta.

"My husband isn't a bad man, Sometimes...He's just a little too quick to let his anger make decisions for him."

Taehyung let out a quiet chuckle.

"And thankfully....My wife is always there to remind me to become a better man."

Taehyung looked into her eyes and bent down. Jungkook, seeing him move closer, closed her own eyes. They were just about to kiss when a knock came at the door.

"Badi Bahu, Dadi is calling you both downstairs for dinner" someone called.

Startled, they pulled apart and moved away.

Taehyung looked toward the door with an exaggerated expression of disappointment.

"Why does someone always have to interrupt at the worst possible moment?"

Jungkook covered her smile. "Stop complaining and come downstairs."

She started walking toward the door before pausing for a brief moment.

Turning back, she said shyly,

"Who knows... maybe you'll get what you're hoping for... later."

With that, she quickly left the room before her blush gave her away.

Taehyung watched her go, a smile slowly spreading across his face.

"You'll have to give it to me, or I'll take it some other way, my love," he murmured, half teasing, half serious.
