Chp 43- My Safe Haven #2
Jungkook smiled, her cheeks warming despite the cool night air. "You're stuck with me," she murmured softly, wrapping her arms around his neck and leaning in a little closer. "Through every tears, every smile, every single thing."
Taehyung didn't say another word. Slowly, deliberately, he closed the small distance between them, pressing his lips to hers in a slow, tender kiss.
It wasn't rushed or frantic; it was a quiet promise, overflowing with all the love, gratitude, and unspoken words of the evening. The weight of the long, emotional day seemed to melt away the instant their lips met.
Taehyung tightened his grip around her waist, pulling her flush against him as if to anchor himself to her warmth.
Jungkook sighed softly into the kiss, her fingers threading gently through the hair at the nape of his neck.
His lips were soft, moving against hers with a sweet, aching reverence that made her heart flutter wildly against her ribs.
When he finally parted from her lips, he rested his forehead against hers, both of them catching their breath in the quiet dark, their warm breaths mingling in the night air. He pressed one more soft, lingering kiss to the corner of her smiling mouth, his fingers softly stroking her warm cheek.
"Thank you, biwi" he whispered against her skin, his heart beating steadily in sync with hers. "For being my peace."
Smiling, she tiptoed up to kiss his cheek shyly before burying her face in his chest, feeling safe and completely loved in his arms.
Taehyung chuckled at his shy little kitten and tightened his grip on her waist and picked her up making Jungkook yelp in surprise.
"Hubby!, what are you doing?" Jungkook asked flabbergasted
But taehyung simply chuckled instead of answering and walked inside the room with her in his arms and gently laid her down on the bed leaning over her.
"W-What do you think you're doing?" Jungkook asked, her voice faltering slightly.
"Hmm... we just had a wedding today, so what usually happens on a wedding night, my love?" Taehyung purred playfully, using his fingers to gently tuck a stray strand of hair behind her ear.
"It wasn't our wedding today!" Jungkook pointed out, pushing his hand away. "The wedding night belongs to the couples who actually got married!"
"Well, yes, but we got married a long time ago, and I still haven't celebrated my proper wedding night," Taehyung replied, pouting dramatically like a disappointed child.
"Oh, please! That's entirely your own fault!" Jungkook sniffed, tossing her hair back with a playful smirk. "On our actual wedding night, you were too busy standing around half-naked, flexing your biceps with that grumpily sulky Stoic face of yours! Don't go blaming me for that!"
"I was a grump?" Taehyung scoffed softly. "And what about you, hmm? Tell me about yourself."
"Go on, tell me!" Jungkook challenged, resting her hands on her hips. "What about me? What did I do?"
"You..." Taehyung paused, his eyes softening completely.
"You were looking so breathtakingly beautiful, so sweet. And the moment you called me 'hubby' for the very first time, I completely lost my heart to you. Right on day one, you walked into my life and utterly captivated me. Just imagine what you did to my poor heart."
"S-Stop it... you just say anything! Move over, I want to go to sleep!" Jungkook stammered, her heart doing somersaults as a fiery blush spread across her face.
"Exactly like that," Taehyung murmured with a dreamy, deeply romantic gaze, leaning in closer. "You were blushing in this exact same way when you woke up beside me on the morning after our wedding."
"L-Look, don't talk like that. I need to sleep, there's so much work to do tomorrow--"
"What work tomorrow?" Taehyung cut in smoothly. "The wedding is over. Whatever needs to be done, others will handle it. You and I have worked hard enough; we deserve rest. And for the next few days, I shouldn't see you anywhere near the kitchen. I'm telling you strictly."
Jungkook stared at him, utterly bewildered. Just a second ago, this man was talking like a total flirt, and now he was laying down rules in that deep, authoritative voice.
"Arey! What kind of rule is that?" she protested. "If I don't look after the kitchen, who will? Jimin didi is pregnant, and--"
"Anyone else can handle it, but not you," he stated firmly. "If needed, I'll hire more maids. I earn all this money not just for myself, but for my wife to live comfortably. The new cooks will be here tomorrow."
"But Dadi?"
"She won't say a word. I'll speak with her," Taehyung replied seamlessly. "And you're joining back at the hospital next week"
Jungkook's eyes widened in sheer shock. This man really had a habit of dropping absolute bombshells out of nowhere.
"What?! Really?!" she gasped, her face lighting up with pure joy. "I can really join back?"
"Yes, you're going back," Taehyung said, his tone turning grounded and sharp. "You didn't study so hard and become a doctor just to stay stuck in a kitchen serving food all day."
Jungkook pouted, looking at him with a soft expression. "Okay, fine! Why are you getting so angry? I didn't even say no, but Dadi--"
"Dadi again!" Taehyung snapped, a faint edge of frustration creeping into his tone.
"When I, your husband, am telling you that you're going back to work, who cares about anyone else? I'll handle the family. You just do as I say."
Seeing him get genuinely riled up on her behalf, Jungkook couldn't hold back. Before he could pull away, she reached up and pressed a quick, sweet peck right against his lips.
Wrapping her arms loosely around his neck, she looked up at him with an adorable pout. "I'll do whatever you say, okay? Now stop being angry with me, or I'm going to cry right here. I'm warning you."
Taehyung froze, all the sternness melting out of him in a single second as he looked at her glistening eyes and sweet pout. A soft sigh escaped his lips, his expression turning instantly guilty.
"Shh, don't cry," he murmured softly, his voice dropping into a gentle, tender tone as he raised his hand to cup her warm cheek.
"I'm sorry, sweetheart. I didn't mean to raise my voice at you. I just get frustrated when you put everyone else's wishes before your own happiness."
Jungkook held his gaze, her pout softening into a subtle, shy smile.
Without waiting another second, Taehyung leaned down and captured her lips again, this time in a slow, deeply passionate kiss that carried all his warmth, devotion, and unspoken promises.
Jungkook let out a soft breath against his mouth, her fingers threading through his hair as she melted completely into his touch, leaving all the worries of the world far behind.
The kiss went rough and desperate, lips crashing against eachother, tongues swirling and saliva being exchanged, taehyung sneak his hand under her kurti and held her smooth waist caressing the curves with his thumb.
"Ah!" A soft moan escaped jungkook's mouth which immediately got swallowed by taehyung.
He held the hem of her kurti and broke the kiss
"Can I take this off?" Taehyung asked in his deep voice pressing his forehead against jungkook's.

On the other side, in the Jeon house:
Mrs. Jeon takes Tzuyu to Minho's room, which was beautifully decorated with flowers. Flowers were scattered across the bed, but no one here knew that she was allergic to flowers.
"Welcome, bahu" Mrs. Jeon said warmheartedly, guiding her inside.
