Chp 47- A Night of Miracles #3

"I... I love you too, hubby," she breathed into the phone, her voice barely louder than a shy whisper.

"Ah, my heart! I could just eat you up," Taehyung gushed happily. "Alright, I'll hang up now. Bye!"

"Bye... travel safely," she murmured softly before the line went quiet.

Stepping back out into the cool evening air of the balcony, Jungkook tried in vain to hide the glowing blush on her face. Jimin, who was sipping her tea, instantly caught her expression and let out a soft, teasing laugh.

"Well, well... finished romancing your husband?" Jimin teased, raising an eyebrow.

"Didi!!" Jungkook pouted, covering her warm cheeks with her hands as Jimin chuckled fondly.

"Alright, alright, I'll stop teasing!" Jimin smiled, softening her tone. "Is everything okay? What did he say?"

"Namjoon bhai and Jin didi had a baby girl," Jungkook shared, her face lighting up again. "That's why hubby had to rush to the city. He said he'll be back by tomorrow afternoon."

"Oh, what wonderful news!" Jimin breathed, a gentle, maternal warmth filling her eyes.

Jungkook watched her for a moment, her curiosity piqued. "Didi..."

"Hmm?"

"What are you hoping for? A boy or a girl?"

Jimin's hand instinctively drifted down to rest against her stomach. Her expression turned profoundly gentle.

"Boy or girl... it doesn't matter to me, Kookie. This child is the symbol of Suga's and my love. Whoever comes into our lives, we'll cherish them with all our hearts. Though... Suga has already made his wish clear, he desperately wants a little girl, ideally one who looks just like me."

Jungkook smiled warmly at the quiet devotion in Jimin's voice. "Suga bhai truly adores you. You know... you've never actually told me the story of how you two met."

"Our love story?" Jimin laughed softly, leaning back.

Jungkook nodded eagerly, looking like a little girl waiting for a fairy tale.

"Well, when I first joined college, Suga was a senior," Jimin began, nostalgia painting her features.

"And to be completely honest, I couldn't stand him. We clashed constantly. He had a reputation for being hot-headed and troubling other students, so one afternoon, after he crossed a line, I slapped him right in front of the entire campus."

Jungkook gasped softly, her eyes widening.

"That started a complete war between us," Jimin continued, a fond smile gracing her lips.

"Enmity, prank wars, shouting matches... but somewhere along the line, without either of us realizing it, that fierce rivalry turned into something entirely different. Before we knew it, we were deeply in love. But when we took our decision to marry to our families... everyone rejected us flatly.

Dadi even rushed to arrange a match for Suga just to separate us."

Jimin looked out at the night sky, remembering the pain of that time.

"We were so helpless, so close to giving up. Suga was ready to run away with me, but it was Taehyung bhai who stepped in. He stopped Suga from making a reckless mistake, went to my family himself, and stood like an unbreakable shield against everyone in this household.

He fought for our love when no one else would. It was only because of him that our families finally relented and let us marry."

Jungkook listened in silent awe. Hearing the depth of Taehyung's loyalty and compassion toward his brother's happiness made her heart swell. The love and respect she held for her husband doubled in an instant.

"Jungkook, you and Taehyung bhai are truly blessed to have found each other," Jimin said softly, turning to cup Jungkook's face with her hand.

"During Holi, when we saw him laughing with you... I swear, no one in this house had seen him smile like that in years. Your presence brought light back into his life.

"If I can give you one piece of advice, my little doll," Jimin added earnestly, "it's this: no matter what misunderstanding comes between you two, or how heated an argument gets, always make sure you listen to each other first. Never make a hasty decision in anger.

Unshakable trust and open communication, those are the pillars that keep a marriage strong."

Jungkook absorbed every word, nodding truthfully. "I trust him completely, didi. No matter what obstacles come our way, my trust in him will never falter."

Jimin smiled warmly, giving her cheek a final gentle pat. Just then, Suga appeared at the balcony door, his gaze softening as he saw his wife. He gently reminded Jimin that it was time to eat and called Jungkook down for dinner as well.

"Come down soon, okay?" Jimin reminded her as she took Suga's arm, letting him guide her carefully inside.

Left alone on the quiet balcony, Jungkook turned back toward the railing. She leaned against the cool marble, gazing up at the bright, crescent moon hanging in the dark sky, her heart filled with quiet anticipation for tomorrow.

________

It was three o'clock in the morning when Taehyung finally returned to Kim Mansion, thoroughly exhausted from the long, grueling hours at the hospital. He quietly walked upstairs and pushed open his bedroom door, careful not to make a sound.

The moment he stepped inside, the tension in his shoulders melted away. There, sleeping peacefully amidst the soft moonlight filter through the curtains, was Jungkook.

After twenty agonizing hours apart, the simple sight of her brought an overwhelming sense of peace to his weary heart. Moving softly across the room, Taehyung knelt beside the bed. He leaned in gently, pressing a soft, lingering kiss to her forehead.

Tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear, he traced the contour of her cheek with thumb, gazing down at her with love-filled eyes.

"My love," he whispered into the quiet room, his voice barely audible, "you have no idea how desperately my heart was longing to see your face. I don't know what kind of magic you've worked on me... this stubborn heart of mine refuses to listen to anything but you. I'll be right back."

Slipping away quietly, Taehyung quickly showered and changed into comfortable clothes.

Within minutes, he slid back onto the bed beside her, carefully wrapping his arm around her waist and gently pulling her close.

Restfully burying his face near the warmth of her neck, he closed his eyes leaning in, he trailed a lingering kiss along the sensitive skin at the nape of Jungkook's neck.

His hand slid unhurriedly under the hem of Jungkook's kurti, palming her bare waist and caressing her with a slow, deliberate touch.

She shifted slightly in her sleep, letting out a soft, subconscious sigh as the unfamiliar warmth against her skin pulled her from the depths of rest.

The lingering touch at the nape of her neck deepened, slow and deliberate, before a trail of soft, feather-light kisses began to map their way down to her shoulder.

Her breath hitched. Through the hazy fog of sleep, the familiar scent of his cologne filled the air grounding her, yet sending a sudden pulse of electricity straight through her core.

His hand under her kurti didn't pause. His broad palm pressed fully against the curve of her bare waist, his thumb stroking smooth, rhythmic circles over her heated skin. The sensation was addictively gentle, yet charged with a quiet, undeniable hunger that made her pulse race against her chest.

She turned her head lazily into the pillow, her eyelashes fluttering open to catch his silhouette in the dim moonlight. Before she could form a word, his lips found the sensitive spot beneath her jaw, pressing a firm, lingering kiss there that drew a soft gasp from her throat.

"You're awake," he murmured against her skin, his voice a low, gravelly whisper that vibrated right against her collarbone. His hand flexed slightly at her waist, pulling her flush against him until there was no space left between them. "Did I disturb you?"

"You here?, you said y.. you'll come by afternoon" she breathed out, her voice laced with sleep and rising desire as her fingers instinctively reached out, finding their way into his hair.

"I couldn't wait," he whispered back. His hand slid higher up her ribcage beneath the fabric of her kurti, his touch setting every nerve ending on fire as he leaned down to finally claim her lips in a slow, intoxicating kiss.

The kiss grew deeper, slow and heavy, completely wiping away any leftover sleep. His lips moved over hers with a gentle yet hungry rhythm, capturing every soft breath she took.

His hand under her kurti kept moving upward, his warm palm sliding smoothly over her ribs. Every touch felt like a spark of heat against her skin, making her shiver softly. Without thinking, she leaned into his hand, her fingers tangling tightly in his hair to pull him even closer.

He let out a low rumble in his chest at her reaction, a deep sound full of satisfaction. He pulled back from the kiss just a bit, trailing his lips down her jawline to the sensitive spot beneath her ear. His warm breath was fast and heavy against her skin.

"Look at me," he whispered softly, his voice dark and quiet in the room.

She slowly opened her heavy eyes, meeting his gaze in the dim light. His eyes were intense and full of passion, fixed completely on her face. His free hand reached up to gently tuck a piece of hair behind her ear.

Slowly, his fingers traced the side of her face down to her chin, tilting her head back just a little.

At the same time, the hand on her waist tightened slightly, pulling her body completely flush against his.

There was no space left between them now, only the sound of their fast breathing and the intense heat between them.
