Chapter 8 The Blacklist

People around me treated it like I was desperately in love with Xu Heng.

Like I would never be the one to ask for a breakup.

They teased me one after another. "Did Dream Guy dump you?"

I looked at my old employees and drained the glass.

I smiled lightly. "Do I look like someone that uncool?"

The bartender, Xiao Lan, clicked her tongue and added a little more.

"Not that you look like it. You are. Even a cool, sharp, cocky woman still bows under Dream Guy's suit pants."

I didn't confirm it or deny it.

My phone rang. I answered without thinking.

"Tian Yue, take your things away."

Xu Heng's cold, hard voice came through clear.

I paused. "Throw them out."

He didn't speak. Fast breathing came through the receiver.

Once I decided something, I was always clean about it.

I was about to hang up when he spoke through his teeth.

"I don't handle trash. Come back and throw it out yourself!"

He hung up. He was the one who called, and he still sounded that proud.

I looked at the dark screen, lit it, and dragged him into the blacklist.

When he didn't like me, who did he think he was?

I had been turning it over for a while.

Maybe Xu Heng was only my obsession.

That year I was in my first year of high school, and he was in his second. A group of girls dragged me into an alley and beat me.

He walked in by accident, and those girls backed off.

I was covered in mud, lying there in a mess.

The hand he held out was warm under the sun.

He took me to the clinic, paid, and left one line.

"People who won't fight back can only take the bullying."

After that day, I changed hard. Whoever crossed me, I paid them back like I wasn't afraid to die.

The name Delinquent Girl started to show from then.

I thought it through carefully.

Even then, I already wanted to fight back. Xu Heng showing up was a push, and a pillar inside me.

Especially when I had no money and was about to drop out.

It was salvation.

So in the year I dated Xu Heng, almost all of it was me giving way.

That was not a normal idea of love.

What made me indulge him with no bottom line?

Was it love?

Maybe a little. But when he favored Lin Yaoyao, it was already gone.
