Chapter 32

LUC

When we finally made it to the villa, Kylie and I were both put in the same bedroom wing. Kylie’s parents had already claimed the guesthouse, but there was more than enough room for the rest of us.

The infinity pool overlooked Trunk Bay, and the breathtaking views made me want to head down to the beach.

While I had visited the island before, we had stayed at a resort.

I had forgotten how beautiful the island was, and as I watched Kylie see this for the first time, it made me want to expose her to more places and show her the world.

The realization that our relationship was causing her distress overshadowed my longing to be with Kylie. The tears at the airport were a wake-up call. She wasn’t just hiding the relationship, I was hurting her.

I wished I could make promises to Kylie, but I refused to trap her in a future that would never fulfill her.

I unpacked my bag and then joined the group in the family room. The kitchen had been stocked, and the chef they hired was already busy preparing dinner.

When I realized Kylie had volunteered to bring Crew to the beach, I jumped in and offered to go with her.

“I’ll drive. Driving on the other side of the road can be intimidating.”

Crew babbled in the back of the Jeep, and Kylie avoided eye contact by checking on him every fifteen seconds. The short ride to Trunk Bay only highlighted the tension between us.

“I’m going to rent a clear-bottomed kayak. What size life jacket do you need?”

“A small should be good for me. But I’ll need to bring Crew to try on the baby one.”

Kylie followed me, carrying Crew as he leaned towards the ocean. I watched as Kylie selected and tried on both hers and Crew’s lifejacket and held the beach bag.

“If we’re lucky, we should be able to see some turtles.”

“I don’t usually swim in the ocean,” Kylie said. “Great white sharks are one of my biggest fears, and I’ve only been to the Cape.”

“Well, if there was a shark, and that’s highly unlikely, you would see it coming.

Caribbean reef sharks and lemon sharks are more common.

I would be more concerned about swimming in the Outer Banks or Myrtle Beach.

But the clear bottom will be an opportunity for you to see it before you jump in the water. ”

Crew was initially put off by the sensation of the sand on his toes as Kylie put him down so he could explore. Once he got used to it, he crawled directly toward the water—and fell face-first into the ocean.

Kylie scooped him up and made it a game, and he giggled in response. I slipped the kayak into the water as Kylie walked in and let Crew splash around.

“Ready?”

She nodded, and I held Crew while she got in and then switched off so I could climb in the kayak.

Crew’s eyes grew wide when he realized he could see through the bottom of the boat.

He pounded his hands on it and squealed in excitement.

We took turns pointing to the fish, and Kylie and Crew were both thrilled when we saw a sea turtle.

When we returned to the shore, Kylie went to the beach bar and ordered a bottle of water for Crew, a Painkiller for me, and she’d decided on the Bushwhacker.

Her eyes grew wide when she got the first taste of her drink. The Bushwhacker was like a frozen chocolate milkshake.

“They’re good, huh?”

“Oh, yeah. Wow! It doesn’t even taste like there is liquor in it.”

“Fair warning, there’s always more booze than you expect in the drinks here.”

“You’ve been here before?”

“I have. When I was growing up, we visited here for a week every February. We stayed in the resort.”

Crew’s cheerful babble continued, but it was approaching his dinnertime. We were on borrowed time with him.

“We should head back.”

I nodded in agreement and returned the rental kayak and lifejackets.

I ended up having more alone time with Kylie this afternoon than I had expected.

If I had to continue to be creative, I would.

I had found a couple of secluded areas in the house that would lend to play if we ever had the house to ourselves.

“Come here,” I said before I pulled her into me. “I miss you, and you’re right in front of me.”

Kylie sighed as I wrapped my arms around her and Crew.

The afternoon at the beach was the last time we had together until the morning of Christmas Eve. Once we realized that everyone had gone to brunch in town without us, I wasted no time.

I pulled Kylie into the laundry room, which the Gods had somehow outfitted with a pole. Maybe it was structural, but as I wound Kylie’s arms around it and used my belt to keep her hands in place, I was just happy I’d found an even better use for it.

Her short summer dress revealed white lace panties, and she let out a sharp breath when she heard the fabric rip as I tore them off of her.

“Shh.”

And then I stuffed them in her mouth. She mumbled in surprise and pulled at the belt.

“Can you snap your fingers, Ky?”

She snapped in response.

I spread her legs and confirmed that she was ready. I had the condom out and on in seconds.

“I don’t know how long we have, baby; I hope you’re ready.”

The gag barely muffled her moans as I pounded into her.

“Look what happens when I see you every day and can’t have you. Look what you do to me.”

Her orgasm came hard and fast, and I followed right after. Right as I pulled out, the laundry room door opened, and Crew’s father, Tom Campbell stood staring at us; he must have arrived this morning.

His eyes bugged out of his head as he absorbed the image. Thankfully Kylie was completely covered.

“Is this consensual?” He asked with a concerned look leveled at Kylie. I got the sense that if needed, he’d jump in and beat my ass.

He seemed satisfied when she nodded.

“Good, good.”

“Tom? Please don’t tell anyone about this,” I said.

He nodded, backed away, and the door closed behind him. I released Kylie as quickly as possible and pulled the gag out of her mouth. Her entire body had turned red from embarrassment.

“That was awkward.”

“Understatement of the year, Ky.”
