I’ve been a resident of Las Vegas for a whole one week. My only friend in town convinces me I need to: 1) Get out on my first Saturday night in town instead of unpacking.

2) Go to a bachelor auction at a swanky hotel/casino on the strip. 3) Cast the winning bid on one of the last-minute hunks added to the lineup.

So when I show up dressed for what I believe is a hands-on date with a celebrity cycling instructor or maybe a winner of the Tour de France, I end up on the back of his motorcycle. In my spandex.

But after we laugh at my misunderstanding, and I confess that I’ve never been on a motorcycle, what follows is a night of escalating “Never Have I Ever” truths or dares.

Each more exciting as the last. Each bringing us closer. Before dawn, it’s possible I may end up checking off the biggest “Never Have I Ever” of all: falling in love with someone I just met.

Time will tell if the feeling is mutual.
