Chapter 33

Henry watched her with great interest. Even though they had been married for five years and had a son, she still blushed, and her heart raced over such things. He especially loved seeing her shy reactions.

Victoria soon regained her composure. "You still haven't said what kind of behavior would be considered 'well'."

Henry answered, "If I think it's good, then it is."

It was destined to be an unfair deal.

However, Victoria couldn't come up with two hundred million dollars. She could only hope that he could be righteous.

"Fine." She nodded in agreement.

Henry stared at her, still unsatisfied from their hasty kiss earlier. He leaned in once more.

Just then, his phone rang. He stood up, answering the call.

"Hello, Sarah. What's up?"

Victoria instinctively recoiled. Upon hearing that ringtone, her body stiffened for a moment.

She remembered the last time she heard that ringtone, he had walked away. This time, it was the same ringtone.

However, his ringtone wasn't like that. She thought, "So, has he set a special ringtone for Sarah? Hah, how affectionate he is to her!"

Victoria wiped her lips with the back of her hand, a chill spreading through her chest.

He was gentle with Sarah on the phone, setting a special ringtone for her, yet here he was, kissing and groping her.

She thought, "What a scumbag! Does he not fear that Sarah may find out this and get angry with him?"

All the tension and shyness she had felt vanished. Her eyes were full of calmness and cold detachment.

She stood up and said, "I'm leaving."

Without another word, she walked out.

Henry watched her slender figure with a frown.

He found that he didn't like seeing her walk away.

When she walked away from him, she looked cold and indifferent. He could feel clearly that the distance between them had grown wider. He felt that everything had gone off track the day she lost her memory.

"Henry, did I interrupt something?" Sarah's soft voice came from the phone.

"No, what's wrong?" Henry replied calmly.

Sarah sniffled. "My leg hurts so much. Does this mean I can never dance again? Henry, what should I do if I can't dance anymore?" She began to sob, clearly distressed.

"Don't cry, I'll come over now. Your leg is fine. As long as you recover, you can still dance." Henry's voice softened as he reassured Sarah. After that, he hung up and walked out.

As soon as Victoria left the private room, Evie took her away. The second floor was a bar, but it wasn't open yet.

Evie turned on the bar lights, walked behind the counter, and handed her a drink. "Victoria, did he bully you?"

Victoria took a sip of the wine and said, "He wants me to attend tomorrow night's charity gala with him. If I behave well, he won't demand compensation."

Evie frowned. "What's that man up to? Isn't the woman he liked back in the country? Isn't he supposed to divorce you and rekindle things with her?"

"I don't know." Victoria shook her head.

She felt that if she knew the answer, the divorce wouldn't be so hard.

She took another sip. "You shouldn't act so impulsively in the future."

Evie made a face and said sheepishly, "Got it. Sorry."

Victoria smiled faintly. "I know you're just looking out for me. No need to apologize. Just next time, when you throw paint on his car, get someone else to do it. That way, he won't trace it back to you."

Evie stayed silent for a while.

"Hmm?"

Victoria blinked, looking at her curiously.

Evie finally said, "I did ask someone else to do it."

Victoria responded with a helpless smile, "Alright then."

After this event, they had learned their lesson. They now knew that Henry was not someone they could mess up with.
