Chapter 73
Victoria was so angry that she laughed when she heard Sarah's words, saying, "You are not capable enough. How could you say I am targeting you? Why would I target you?"
Sarah sobbed, answering, "Henry and I are just friends, not the kind of relationship you think. Mrs. Harrison, please don't misunderstand."
In just a few words, Victoria was portrayed as a suspicious, jealous person who abused her power for personal gain and took revenge on others.
Victoria thought, "She's such a good actress and better at acting than me."
Looking at Henry and seeing him stare at Victoria, Sarah immediately said, "Henry, don't blame Mrs. Harrison. I don't know that she is Vika, the famous photographer. If I had known, I would not have come to avoid being misunderstood by Mrs. Harrison."
"Vika?" Henry lowered his eyes and glanced at Sarah.
His expression became even colder when he saw Sarah was pale. He then looked at Victoria's face coldly.
"Victoria, Did you intent to torture her?"
Victoria resisted the urge to roll her eyes and said, "I didn't. I was just doing my duty and taking pictures."
"Is it?" Henry walked towards her step by step, and his eyes swept across her clean and beautiful face and fell on the camera in her hand.
He knew that she liked taking photos, and she had taken a lot of pictures of him and Jude. He thought it was just her hobby, and he had never paid attention to what she took.
But now, someone told him that she was Vika, the mysterious photographer who had become famous five years ago and made Sophia famous overnight with a set of photos and later became the best actress.
Sophia was an artist of Harrison Media, so Henry naturally knew all this.
He thought, "We have been married for five years, but I never knew that she had such an identity."
Henry's handsome face was cold like being covered with a layer of frost, and his eyes were now looking at her with coldness. "Victoria, you lied to me."
For some reason, Victoria felt her breathing tighten and had a bad feeling in her heart.
She pressed her lips and said, "What did I lie to you about?"
Henry said coldly, "You never told me that you are Vika."
Victoria's long, curly eyelashes were drooping slightly, hiding the mockery in her eyes.
She thought, "In these five years, has he really paid attention to me? Even once, he would notice that I was different. But he never had."
Victoria said in a calm tone, "Have I never said that before? Then our relationship must be terrible."
The feeling of powerlessness once again enveloped Henry's heart, and he frowned, thinking, "She lost her memory, so all my questions and anger have nowhere to vent. I have to urge Gideon. If he couldn't find the thing to restore her memory, he could just get lost."
"She's the one who didn't cooperate." Just when the atmosphere was at a stalemate, a tender, soft, and sweet voice rang out.
Emma stood in front of Victoria, looking at Henry fearlessly.
She pointed at Sarah with her little finger and said crisply, "Ms. Victoria asked her to raise her hand, but she turned around.
Ms. Victoria asked her to turn around, but she sat down.
Ms. Victoria asked her to smile, but she didn't look at the camera.
She doesn't understand what people say."
Hearing her words, some people around her couldn't help but burst out laughing. But for fear of being held accountable, they pinched their mouths with their hands.
Victoria didn't expect Emma to speak at this time suddenly. She quickly pulled Emma behind her, fearing that Henry would vent his anger on Emma.
However, Henry looked at Emma's cute face and said, "Come here."
"She's only four years old. You can't hit a child," said Victoria vigilantly with an apparent protective attitude.
Henry gave her a cold look. "Do you think I would hit a child?"
Victoria raised her chin slightly. "You look fierce. Anyone who sees you would think you were going to attack her."
Henry didn't know what to say for a moment.
He was silent for a moment, and the coldness on his sharp face dissipated a little. He treated Emma with the same attitude he usually treated Jude. "Come over here."
Emma shrank her neck, thinking, "He looks really fierce. However, I protected Ms. Victoria. I'm not afraid."
She walked out from behind Henry, looking at Henry timidly with her big eyes.
Under Victoria's vigilant gaze, Henry leaned over and squatted in front of Emma, his eyes sharp and serious. "Little girl, you can't lie. If you lie, you will be eaten by the big bad wolf. Do you know that?"
Emma was not afraid of the big bad wolf he mentioned because she felt that he was much scarier than the big bad wolf.
She nodded. "I know. I didn't lie."
Sarah looked at Henry with some uneasiness and felt a little disgusted with Emma.
She said, "Henry, she is just a child. How can you believe what she says? I have really been cooperating the whole time. Maybe Mrs. Harrison saw that you care about me more, so she deliberately targeted me. It's all my fault."
With that, her tears began to fall again.
Emma looked at Sarah, and turned to Henry , pressed her lips, and said, "Why does she cry? She is adult. I'm four years old, and I don't cry much."
After hearing the childish voice, Sarah felt like she was in a dilemma about whether to shed tears or not.
Emma was straightforward and cute. The coldness in Henry's eyes completely disappeared, and he even smiled, "Okay. I believe you."
Emma became excited. "Really?"
"If I don't keep my word, I will be eaten by the big bad wolf," said Henry in a low voice.
Emma immediately said, "Then you should talk to her quickly. If she can't take pictures, just stop. Let's get someone who can. Ms. Victoria is tired."
Sarah thought, "I know how bad Henry's temper is. But now, he is actually getting along peacefully with a four–year–old girl. He doesn't even have much patience with Jude. Now, my lie has been exposed. What Henry will do?"
Henry reached out and rubbed Emma's head, then stood up and looked at Sarah beside him.
"Take a break if you're not feeling well." His tone was gentle, without any hint of blame.
Sarah was glad and nodded. "Maybe I didn't sleep well last night. I'll go get some rest."
Finished speaking, she looked at Victoria, her eyes full of provocation and complacency. "Mrs. Harrison, you should take a rest as well. I'm really sorry for what happened before."
Sarah apologized, but her tone was brisk because Henry did not blame her and even let her go to rest.
Contrasting Henry's attitude toward Victoria just now, Sarah thought she held a higher place in Henry's heart.
However, Victoria lowered her eyes slightly with a look of indifference and said to Emma, "Are you bored? Do you want to go out for some fresh air?"
