Chapter 77

Jude wasn't very strong, but the sudden push still made Victoria stagger backward, surprised as she looked at him.

Before she could react, a small figure rushed over and shoved Jude hard.

"Why are you treating Ms. Victoria like that?"

Emma, in a beautiful dress, looked adorable, but her strength was astonishing. She pushed Jude so forcefully that he ended up sitting on the ground.

The two of them glared at each other, neither willing to back down.

Henry strode over, crouching down to ask, "Does it hurt?"

Sarah's face was pale, tears in her eyes as she nodded. "Henry, do you think I can never dance again?"

"You'll be fine," Henry reassured her, then quickly picked her up and walked briskly toward the exit.

However, as he passed Victoria, he shot her a fierce glance.

His gaze was cold and sharp.

Victoria quickly explained, "I didn't push her."

Jude stood up, frowning. "You need to apologize to Ms. Miller, or I won't forgive you!"

With that, he ran after Henry, still asking Sarah if she was in pain.

The people around them were watching with odd expressions.

"Isn't she Mr. Harrison's wife? Why is Mr. Harrison carrying Sarah?"

"It looks like her son really likes Sarah. She must be a failure as a mom."

"Hey, you guys didn't know? I heard from a little birdie that she used some underhanded tactics to marry Mr. Harrison. It caused a big uproar in Lanceser back then."

"No wonder Mr. Harrison and her son don't like her. Turns out she's the kind of woman who would do anything to get what she wants."

Whispers full of disdain mixed with the noise around them as people discussed, while also tidying up the scene.

Victoria tightened her grip on the camera, feeling a suffocating weight settle over her.

Five years had passed, but hearing people mention those events again made her feel as absurd and ridiculous as ever. It still hurt, and it still felt unjust to her senses.

"Ms. Victoria."

"I saw it, and it wasn't you who pushed her. She was the one who fell on her own. She's a bad woman. We don't need to apologize to her!" Emma looked up at her, her big, round eyes sparkling as she said with determination.

Victoria bent down and embraced her. "Emma, you're my little angel."

Emma, mimicking the adults, patted Victoria's shoulder and smiled brightly. "Ms. Victoria, don't be sad. I'll stay by your side!"

Victoria pulled a slight smile. "How about becoming my goddaughter? Otherwise, I might just steal you away."

Emma tilted her head, thinking for a moment. "I think that's a good idea! I'll ask my mom. But I think she'll agree."

Seeing her adorable, serious expression, Victoria couldn't help but laugh. She kissed Emma's chubby cheek and said, "That's a wrap! Let's go get a big meal!"

"Yay!" Emma cheered.

The photos were almost done. Victoria held Emma's hand and turned to leave.

Tina finished packing up the other things and carefully followed behind her, casting a concerned glance at her face. "Vika, are you okay?"

Victoria smiled, "What could happen? I've finished my work. Let's go, I'll treat you to a meal. What do you want to eat?"

Just as they reached the door, however, a bodyguard stepped forward and blocked their way.

The bodyguard stood expressionless and said, "Mrs. Harrison, Mr. Harrison has instructed that you need to go to the hospital."

Coldness flickered in Victoria's eyes. "What does that mean?"

The bodyguard simply replied, "This is Mr. Harrison's instruction. I'm only doing my job."

"What if I don't go?"

The bodyguard remained emotionless. "Then you won't be leaving here today."

Victoria realized they wanted her to apologize to Sarah.

Her eyes turned even colder, and she handed the camera and Emma to Tina. "You two head home first. I'll take you out to eat later."

Tina looked worried. "Victoria, should I ask Diana to go with you?"

"No need."

Victoria shook her head. "I'll handle it."

She leaned down to gently touch Emma's face. "Will you go home with Tina and wait for me?"

Emma nodded obediently. "Okay."

The bodyguard immediately fell into line behind her.

Once in the car, Victoria sent Diana a message.
