Chapter 93
Victoria managed a half–smile as she returned to the villa.
The servant had already tidied up the guest room, and Emma put down her backpack before coming downstairs to find Victoria. "Ms. Victoria, have you been bullied?"
Emma had been worried about Victoria's well–being. She grabbed Victoria's hand, her eyes full of concern.
"She's my mom and the owner of this house. Who would bully her?" At that moment, Jude's voice rang out. He looked at Emma with an annoyed expression.
Emma wrinkled her nose and huffed, "Of course, it's you. You don't respect your mom at all. I would never treat my mom like that. I really love my mom."
Jude's expression grew even more hostile, his gaze cold as he looked at Emma.
Victoria quickly intervened, grabbing Emma's hand. "Sweetheart, do you remember what I told you before?"
Emma turned to look at Victoria and nodded obediently. "I understand."
Victoria smiled gently and then turned to the servant, "Can you take Emma to playroom here?"
The servant replied, "Alright, Mrs. Harrison."
Jude's expression was cold and he said. "It is my playroom. I don't want her to be in there".
Victoria's cold stare at him. "You said you didn't like it. You considered it garbage. Don't you remember?"
At that moment, Victoria recalled the playroom she had prepared for Jude, filled with all kinds of toys that little boys loved. She had even stocked a whole wall with children's storybooks, intending to read to him at night to help him sleep.
However, when she eagerly brought Jude to the playroom, he looked at her with disdain and said, "I don't need this garbage." Then he turned and went to practice the piano.
Standing in the playroom filled with toys, Victoria felt a bit helpless and confused. "Why doesn't he like them? Why call them garbage?"
Later, Victoria understood.
Jude disliked her, so he also disliked everything she had prepared for him. Jennifer always fill in his little mind all bad things about Victoria - his mom.
A wave of pain surged in her heart, but she took a moment to steady herself.
Jude stood aside, his expression tense, thinking, "Did I really say something like that? I don't remember."
Just then, Victoria's phone rang. When she checked, it was a reminder from the brand asking for updates.
Victoria looked at Emma. "Sweetheart, can you watch TV for a bit? I need to be busy for a while, and then I'll come to keep your company, okay?"
"Okay." Emma nodded and sat down on the sofa.
Victoria went upstairs to the study, took out her computer, and began to work.
She wasn't satisfied with the photos, but since Sarah wouldn't cooperate, she had to do her best to edit them.
After finishing the batch and sending it off to the brand, Victoria stood up and stretched her body.
But just then, there was a frantic knocking at the door.
"I'm coming. What's wrong?" Victoria walked over to open the door, her face filled with confusion.
The servant said anxiously, "Mrs. Harrison, you need to hurry and take a look. Mr. Jude and Emma are fighting."
"What?" Hearing this, Victoria was startled and quickly rushed downstairs, thinking, "Has the thing I feared most finally happened?"
Victoria ran to the living room, where she saw Jude sitting on the floor while Emma stood in front of him, her face flushed with anger.
"What happened?" Victoria immediately asked.
