Chapter 162

"Sure."

Victoria agreed cheerfully and immediately took out her phone to look up the restaurant.

Just then, Tina's name popped up on her phone screen. "I need to take this call," she said, stepping away.

Moving to a quieter spot, she answered with a puzzled tone, "Tina, what's up?"

Tina was bursting with excitement. "Vika, I've got fantastic news! Huge news!"

Surprised, Victoria asked, "What kind of news? Did you win the lottery?"

Tina cleared her throat dramatically. "Sophia's business deals have all been snatched away since she came back!"

Hearing this, Victoria was a little confused. "How is that good news?"

"Of course, it's good news!" Tina exclaimed with a triumphant tone.

"She used to be so arrogant, leaning on Harrison Media and flaunting her Best Actress title.

She was insufferable and even deliberately targeted you.

Now, look at her; her deals are gone, and the lead roles in the films and dramas she signed up for have been given to others. She's getting her comeuppance!"

"Was Sophia targeted by someone?" Victoria was somewhat surprised but more confused. As Tina had said, with Sophia backing Harrison Media, who would dare to target her?

"My mood is so good right now I might have an extra serving at lunch!" Tina said gleefully.

Victoria chuckled lightly. "Go ahead. You can have my share, too."

Tina responded enthusiastically, then asked, "When are you coming back, Vika?"

"Not sure yet. Keep an eye on the studio renovations for me. Once I've settled things here, I'll return," Victoria replied.

"Got it."

After hanging up the phone, she turned and went back to find Ava. As for Sophia, she didn't care at all.

Meanwhile, Sophia, who had been consecutively dropped by contracts, was on the verge of losing her mind.

"Why is this happening? Who's targeting me?" she screamed, smashing everything in sight. Her face was twisted in anger.

Maric, meanwhile, was making frantic calls to inquire about the situation, but every call ended with a hang–up or outright reiection. No one was willing to engage with them.

Feeling helpless, Marie turned to Sophia and said, "Why don't you contact Mr. Harrison? Aren't you close with him? Ask him what's going on."

Sophia bit her lip. After learning that Henry had pressured Cordell to replace her in the role, she had already tried confronting him to find out why. But he refused to see her!

Fuming, Sophia grabbed a cup and hurled it against the wall, where it shattered into pieces.

Marie frowned slightly. "Smashing things won't solve anything. Call Mr. Harrison right now and find out what's happening. Stop clinging to your Best Actress pride. In this industry, capital is everything."

Closing her eyes, Sophia took a deep breath to steady herself. Then she reluctantly pulled out her phone and dialed Henry's number.

However, the voice that answered wasn't Henry's. "Ms. Reed, this is Jacob. Mr. Harrison is in a meeting. If you have a message, I can relay it to him."

Sophia snapped impatiently, "Who do you think you are? You're not qualified to relay my words. Put Henry on the phone right now. I need to speak with him directly."

Jacob replied curtly, "Mr. Harrison is in a meeting."

With that, he hung up the phone.

"Damn it!"

Seeing this, Marie immediately understood Henry was ignoring her now.

Marie frowned slightly, hesitating before asking, "Could it be because of what happened last time? Is Mr. Harrison punishing you?"

"Impossible!"

Sophia shook her head vehemently. "Henry would never be that cruel to me. He promised my brother he'd take care of me!"

Marie asked curiously, "Was your brother close to Mr. Harrison?"

Sophia's gaze flickered uneasily, avoiding the question.

Instead, she replied, "Henry is angry because I framed Victoria.

She's his wife, and their reputations are tied together.

Anything that happens to her reflects on him, so he's disciplining me.

He already pressured Director Parkey over the matter, so I don't think he'll go any further. "

Marie still looked puzzled. "If it's not Mr. Harrison, then who could it be?"

She turned to Sophia with a serious expression. "Since you came back, are you sure you haven't offended anyone else?"

"No!" Sophia shook her head firmly. "I only ever targeted Victoria."

The mere thought of it made her angry. She should've gone all out and destroyed Victoria completely. That way, none of this would be happening now!

"Give me your phone."

Taking a deep breath, Marie stretched out her hand. Sophia's phone had been shattered in her earlier outburst and was unusable. Marie added, "But you can't break my phone."

Sophia looked impatient. "If I break it, I'll buy you a new one!"

"No way. My phone has a lot of irreplaceable data. If it's damaged, those things will be gone forever," Marie retorted immediately.

Holding back her irritation, Sophia borrowed the phone and dialed a number.

"Mrs. Jennifer Harrison, it's Sophia. I can't find Henry. Do you know where he is?"

Jennifer was surprised to hear from Sophia.

However, recalling her past gratitude toward Sophia, she responded, "I'll have someone check and let you know."

Sophia's face lit up with a smile. "Thank you, Mrs. Harrison. Once I'm done here, I'll come visit you."

"Alright. By the way, how's your brother doing?" Jennifer asked warmly.

Sophia's tone dimmed with sadness. "The same as always."

Jennifer tried to comfort her. "Don't worry. With the rapid advancements in medical science and technology, we will see significant improvements in your brother's situation.

"Mm."

After the call ended, it didn't take long for Jennifer to send over Henry's itinerary.

"Henry's in Camoreham," Sophia said decisively. "I'll go find him directly!"

Marie looked at her skeptically. "Are you sure?"

"Of course, I'm sure!" Sophia replied confidently. "The formation came from Mrs. Jennifer Harrison, Henry's mother!"

Marie was stunned. She'd always known that Sophia and Henry had a good relationship, but she hadn't expected that Sophia could also communicate with the rest of the Harrison family. From their tone, it even seemed like Jennifer valued her highly.

Marie's eyes glimmered with calculation as she asked, "Sophia, with your close ties to the Harrison family, have you ever thought about becoming Henry's wife?"

Sophia's gaze flickered. "That's none of your business. Just book my flight. I need to see Henry now."

"Alright," Marie agreed, nodding.

In truth, Marie hoped Sophia would marry Henry. If that happened, they would have access to endless resources, and her own career as Sophia's manager would skyrocket.

But for now, Victoria was still Henry's wife, and they couldn't afford to act rashly.

Meanwhile, Jacob handed the phone back to Henry, saying respectfully, "Mr. Harrison, Ms. Reed just called, claiming she had something very important to discuss with you."
