Chapter Thirty-One
Hazel
When we got home from the run, I felt so warm, I didn’t know what to do with myself. Taking my fur had never had this effect on me before, but it had been a pretty exciting time, and that might make all the difference.
We settled in to talk and have a little snack around the kitchen table, and by the time we finished the cookies and cocoa, whatever had been bothering me seemed to abate.
One by one, the guys said good night and left me with a sweet kiss until finally the only one left around the table with me was True.
He had a composure that I admired, and watching him research was far more of a turn-on than I’d have believed possible.
“Want to go in the living room and watch a movie for a bit?” he offered. “Or listen to a podcast or something?”
“Would you be upset if I said no?” I asked, carrying the last two mugs to the dishwasher. “It’s been a long day, and shifting always wipes me out afterward.”
“Oh no. It’s fine,” he said, standing. “I’m sorry. I should have realized. Can I walk you to your door?”
“I hope you will.” Closing the dishwasher, I returned to his side. “It was so nice shifting together.”
“It was beautiful. I hope we’ll get to do it many more times.”
“Me too.” We walked together to my room, and at the door, he rested a hand on my waist.
“May I kiss you?”
“Here or in bed?”
I had to step back to fully appreciate the expression on his face.
“True? Are you going to come in, or are you too tired?”
“What? No. I mean, yes. I mean…I mean, this.” He scooped me up into his arms and carried me inside, kicking the door closed behind him. “I was just pleasantly surprised.”
“I hope it will be more than pleasant to sleep together. You do want to, right?” It occurred to me that I was making an assumption. “You’re not just doing it because you don’t want to hurt my feelings?”
His lips crashed down on mine, telling me without any words how much he wanted to make love to me.
It didn’t hurt that his fingers were busily undressing me.
They’d all seen me naked just a while ago, but shifting naked was a different thing.
Now, as I lay there, savoring his touch, I reached for him as well, wanting to have a leisurely view of his body, too.
My flirtatious luring him in here and bold actions were not like me, not like I’d ever been taught to behave with my alpha or alphas, but I was loving the feeling of teasing and gaining a reaction from this male. He was so smart and had a touch of sexy nerd. What female could resist him?
Not this one.
After a few breathless moments, we had tossed all the clothing to the floor and lay skin to skin.
“Hazel, you’re so warm,” he said, stroking the back of his hand down my shoulder. “We won’t need to turn on the heater if this is how you always are.”
“You feel so nice and cool.”
He toyed with a nipple while nibbling on my earlobe. “Very sexy, mate.”
“Keep doing that. It feels so good.” Everything he was doing felt good. My muscles loosened under his strokes, my legs fell apart almost magically. “Please don’t stop.” His fingers trailed lower, finally landing between my legs and seeking out my clit. And then he was lying on top of me.
“You’re so slick, omega,” he crooned. “So ready for me.”
“Yes, I am. I am completely ready for you, alpha.” I couldn’t wait, bucking my hips in need while he circled my clit with one fingertip and whispered naughty and sexy and loving things in my ear.
“All right, omega. I won’t make you wait.”
“Thank the goddess! I burn for you, alpha.”
“It’s mutual, omega.”
And then he was inside me, where I needed him to be, our bodies joined together as he drove in and out, taking me higher with each stroke, speed increasing and lips on mine again. I wrapped my legs around his waist, my arms around his neck, and hung on while he kissed me senseless.
This alpha approached things with such calm and attention to detail, but at this point, nobody was in control of anything.
He was plunging into me while I held on for dear life, crying out his name and whimpering.
Each of these males was so different, but they all made me feel cared for, protected, and in charge of my own life every moment.
And that made me want them more every day.
Everything inside me tightened and then let loose as True spilled into my body, and I followed him over the edge into star-spangled darkness.
Somewhere far away, his knot swelled, and our bodies remained attached while our minds joined as well and more that I didn’t understand.
I’d been taught what to expect from a relationship.
To be a “good girl” and behave as I was told.
Rewarded for that sort of behavior since I was toddling around.
But it wasn’t what I wanted.
“I’m not a good girl,” I choked out.
“Of course not. You’re an extraordinary woman,” he said into my ear. “And you’re ours, but we’re yours, and we all will support and care for one another forever.”
“Yes, that’s what I want.”
“Whatever you want is what we will do our very best to give you.”
Did these guys have the pillow-talk stuff down or what? How did I ever get this lucky?
