Chapter Eight
Jade reached for him first this time, her hands sliding up his chest, feeling the solid warmth of him under her palms. He caught her waist immediately, pulling her in as his mouth found hers. The kiss was slower than before, deeper and less frantic, but no less intense.
Heat unfurled between them, steady and consuming. Jade leaned into him, her fingers curling into his shirt as his hands moved along her back, grounding and guiding all at once. She was already wet between her legs, and her breasts felt more sensitive than usual.
Everything else faded—the stress, fear, and uncertainty. It was replaced by this, by him finally taking command, touching her in a way like he meant it, like she was the only thing he saw.
“Bedroom,” she whispered.
Wolf didn’t argue, he followed her without question.
Once inside, Wolf started helping her undress.
In moments, both of them were completely naked.
It had been a long time for Jade, so she was a little shy about her body.
However, when Wolf looked at her, like she was the most gorgeous queen he’d ever seen, all her apprehensions melted away.
Jade dropped to her knees in front of him, eyeing his member, which was long and hard.
He groaned, spearing fingers in her hair as she leaned forward, licking the leaking tip.
Jade took him further, deeper down her throat.
She bobbed her head up and down, loving every grunt she managed to elicit from him.
Wolf pulled out of her mouth, panting slightly. “I want to finish in you,” he told her.
Wolf paused, stooping down to grab a condom from the pocket of his jeans. He tore the foil, put it on.
Jade climbed into bed, so she was laying on her back.
Wolf straddled her, began spoiling her with kisses.
He started with the side of her neck, her chest. He paid particular attention to her breasts.
Wolf closed his mouth over one sensitive nipple, licking it until it peaked.
He bit down playfully on it, making Jade moan.
Wolf did the same with the other, then went lower, kissing and sucking, using his hands to explore every inch of her skin.
Wolf pressed more kisses down her stomach and ribs.
Jade parted her legs willingly for him. Wolf kissed the inside of her thighs, before lifting himself up.
Jade decided to wrap her legs around his waist, drawing him in.
He snuck a kiss on her mouth, then entered her. Wolf went slow and steady, until he filled her up completely. Jade could feel his fullness in her.
“You good?” Wolf asked her.
“Fuck me, Wolf,” she whispered.
Wolf grinned, then complied. He started with sure and slow strokes, finding a rhythm which suited them both. Jade moaned as he reduced them both to panting and needy animals. Sweat slicked her skin, her breasts bouncing as he drove more relentlessly and deeper in her.
Each time he entered her, she marveled at the perfect fit of their bodies. How it felt like part of her soul drifted out of her body to touch his. Jade realized she had never felt this intimate, this close, with anyone before.
Wolf switched the angle of his thrusts, and Jade arched her back, a whimper escaping her lips. He had found her sweet spot, and now started aiming for it repeatedly. The pressure slowly building inside her threatened to burst.
“Wolf, I’m close,” she whispered.
“Come for me, baby,” he ordered.
The next time he drove inside her, Jade splintered.
The room fell away from her sight as she screamed out his name.
Several thrusts later, Wolf followed. He lingered inside her a few moments, pressing his mouth against hers, then he finally pulled away.
Wolf entered the bathroom and must’ve disposed of the condom.
He returned to her with towels. Wolf cleaned them both up, then slid next to her in bed.
Jade lay on her side, the thin sheet tangled loosely around her legs, her skin still warm, still humming faintly with the aftershocks of everything that had just happened.
Wolf shifted behind her, then slid an arm around her waist, steady and sure, pulling her back against him. Jade melted into it. He was so warm and solid. Wolf pressed his chest against her back, his breath slow and even against her shoulder.
Jade let out a quiet breath, her hand coming up to rest lightly over his forearm where it lay across her stomach. His skin was also warm under her fingers, the faint roughness grounding.
For a moment, neither of them spoke. Wolf brushed his thumb lightly against her side absently, almost like he wasn’t aware he was doing it. The small movement sent a soft ripple through her, something gentle and unfamiliar settling low in her chest.
She hadn’t expected this quiet part. Sex with Wolf hadn’t felt rushed or temporary or transactional. It felt real. Jade shifted slightly, turning just enough to face him. Wolf’s gaze was already on her, sharp, but somehow Wolf seemed less guarded.
She reached up without thinking, touching his jaw lightly, tracing the faint bruise there.
“You’re going to feel that tomorrow,” she murmured.
“I’ve felt worse,” he said with a smile.
“I believe that.”
Her thumb lingered for a second longer before she let her hand fall.
“I hope you don’t regret tonight,” Wolf said.
Jade blinked, studying him carefully. Wolf didn’t look uncertain often, but it was there, just beneath the surface. Jade’s chest tightened.
“I doubt it,” she said, meaning her words.
Whatever this was, whatever they were doing, she didn’t regret it.
Especially not after the way he looked at her, touched her like she was a treasure.
Wolf searched her face for a second longer, like he was weighing the truth of it.
Then he exhaled slowly, some of the tension in his shoulders easing.
Jade shifted closer, her head settling against his chest this time, listening to the steady rhythm of his heartbeat beneath her ear. It was strong, unshaken.
Her thoughts drifted back to earlier, back to the clubhouse and the way Wolf proclaimed to anyone listening close by that Jade was his. But what if he eventually changed his mind? What if whatever this thing between them was, had an end?
Yet, there was the other outcome. That this momentary happiness could last, turn into something permanent even.
Wolf brushed his fingers gently through her hair, tucking a loose strand behind her ear. The touch was softer than anything he’d done all night. Jade tilted her head slightly into it without thinking.
His fingers lingered, then his mouth followed. He pressed his lips at the spot just below her ear, at the curve of her neck. Jade inhaled softly. He moved to her pulse point, warm and unhurried, like he was mapping the place, memorizing it.
Her breath hitched when his teeth grazed lightly against her skin. Heat curled low in her stomach again, softer this time, threaded with something deeper.
He lingered there for a second longer, then pressed another kiss to the same spot, firmer this time, like he meant to leave something behind. A mark. Not visible yet, but she knew it would be.
“Wolf...” she murmured. Somehow, the thought of Wolf leaving this mark there and everyone at the club seeing it, made her feel a little excited.
“What?” he asked quietly, after leaving a hickey on her neck. “What are you thinking about?”
Jade hesitated. Why was he always so observant? Jade could lie, brush it off, tell him it was nothing, but then, that would make her a liar.
“The future,” she said.
Wolf tightened his hold slightly around her, like instinct took over before thought could catch up.
“What about it?” he asked.
“I don’t know,” she admitted. Jade gathered her thoughts, continued, “I don’t know where any of this is going, or what happens when Derek comes back or when the debt is paid, but I want to find out.”
There it was, the simple and terrifying truth. He didn’t answer her right away, but she could tell he was considering her words carefully.
“Get some sleep,” he eventually told her. “You’ve had a long day.”
Jade studied him for a moment longer, searching for something she couldn’t quite name, then she nodded.
Her eyes felt heavier now. The exhaustion she’d been holding off all night finally catching up. She shifted closer, tucking herself against him, her head settling under his chin this time.
Wolf tightened his embrace, anchoring her there. Jade let her eyes close. Wolf moved his hand up and down her back, his touch calming, his presence solid and unyielding behind her. Finally, sleep pulled her under.
