Epilogue
I look down at the fight ensuing below. Daegel has served me well over the years, fulfilling my demands and capturing the Diamond as I commanded. But he spares the others, and my lip curls in a sneer at the male’s mercy.
I feel my cheeks lift, drawing the edges of my mouth upward with delight.
The soft skin of each curved lip peels apart, exposing the glossy whites of my teeth when he pulls her to him.
The female hasn’t even realized that she is pushing him right to where they are destined to go anyway, right where I want them, falling into Odes’s grave and ripping them from the realm.
My plan is falling into place. Without the Worthy female’s Spirit to guard her, there is nothing keeping me from fulfilling my ultimate goal. Soon, I will have my revenge.
