“Well, I’m sure you heard that, Dad. I seem to have been strong-armed away from my dream of volunteering in Africa. But I NEED that software implemented. It’s giving me hives even thinking about it not being finished,” I said simply. He would understand.
If he was still listening to me.
Fifty/fifty, really.
I sighed. I had never been to China, so there was something. Kind of reaching, though, honestly. I fully slumped sideways against my dad’s tree, ignoring the dig of the bark.
“I guess I’m going to China, Dad,” I sighed.
“I wouldn’t be too sure of that, love. You were right where Donovan said you’d be,” came a frighteningly excited voice from behind me.
“Easy as pie.”
