Jalisa Chapter 17 #3
“I asked to speak to you to determine if you knew what one of your chapters was doing. More specifically, what was a core group within it up to? We don’t know if the whole chapter is involved,” Panther explained.
“How did all these clubs get into it?” Lion asked.
“It started as a Fiends’ problem until the Outlaws involved came into Pagan territory,” Wrath told him.
“What’s the problem, and why did they do that?” Lion asked.
“The answer to both those is me,” I interjected.
Lion studied me. “Why doesn’t that surprise me? Who are you, and what did you do?”
“I’m Jalisa, Hell’s Fiends of Athens princess.
And all I did was be dumb enough to go on a few dates with a man I had no idea was a Black Outlaw.
He didn’t take it well when I told him I didn’t want to see him again.
He insisted I’d been claimed and was his.
Despite that not being the case, he refused to listen.
I was sent away for my protection. Only he found me here, and I was attacked in my cousin’s apartment.
My cousin is a Pagan prospect. This Outlaw won’t stop insisting I belong to him and that I be returned. ”
“Hmm, and who is your blood in the Fiends’ club?”
“It’s my dad. You may know of him. He’s their enforcer. Goes by the road name Psycho.”
Lion’s eyes barely flickered. He knew who Dad was. “I’ve heard the name. Where’s Psycho?”
“He’s not available at the moment. Now, how about you answer questions for us?
Is it standard for your men, regardless of chapter, to claim women against their will and then come into other clubs’ territories?
Because I must say, if it is, that’s not a very good move.
It could cause hard feelings. You wouldn’t want that,” Wrath told Lion.
“First, which chapter is it, and what’s the member’s name?” Lion asked nonchalantly.
“It’s the Greensboro, Georgia chapter, and the member in question is their enforcer, Killer,” Panther supplied.
A barely audible groan slipped out of Lion and a couple of his men behind him before they stopped it.
Lion closed his eyes. “Swear to God, I told them one more problem, and he was done. And the answer is, if the woman in question had no such agreement with the member, then no, we don’t allow it.
Honey, is there any reason you can think of why Killer would think you agreed? ” Lion asked.
“None.”
“I can understand your position since it was your prospect she was staying with, and they allegedly came into your territory without permission. We’ll compensate for any damages and the encroachment.
The men involved will be handled. Maybe we should have this discussion in private since it pertains to her, your club, and Killer,” Lion suggested to Panther.
He went to rise but halted when Wrath spoke.
“That’s where you’re wrong, Lion. It involves my club, and more so now than Panther’s. And it’s for more than my prospect’s place being demolished. It would be great to compensate him for that.”
“And why would you say your club is more involved than the Fiends?” Lion asked. His eyebrows were raised.
“Easy. Show him, Jalisa,” Wrath said.
Lion wasn’t paying attention to what I had on, or he thought it proclaimed me as part of the Fiends.
Some clubs had all their women wear them, whether claimed or not.
Some would merely read Property of Hell’s Fiends MC .
Smiling, I stood and presented my back to Lion and his guys.
This time, the groans were loud, drawn out, and coming from more throats.
When I swung back, the resignation was apparent on Lion’s face.
“She’s your old lady. When did that occur?”
“After she was attacked in her cousin’s apartment by three Outlaws. They intended to take her to Killer. We’re not sure what else they had in mind. In our clubs, women and children are kept out of disputes. Disagreements and wars should stay between the men,” Wrath said with an edge to his tone.
One of the guys with Lion moved as if he was about to say or do something. Lion held up his hand. The man, whose cut read Corker and National VP , subsided.
“You might be surprised to hear it, but I believe the same.”
“That’s kind of hard to believe when we hear rumors about your chapters trafficking people. Doesn’t sound like women and kids are off-limits, or is it only yours?” Bull asked.
“I became the national president a year ago and established my national team. Before that, I was over a chapter like each of you. As a chapter president, you have some autonomy in how you run it, but the overall direction is dictated by a national president, if you have one, or the charter president, like you, Bull. The one before me only cared about making the most money possible. He didn’t care about the danger, the blood, or the inhumanity of some things.
I’m not a Boy Scout, and neither are my men.
However, selling human beings is a disgusting business.
“As soon as I was voted in, my first act was to abolish human trafficking. However, some chapters try to hang onto it and sneak under the radar. It’s a very lucrative business.
They’re addicted to the money. It’s taking time to weed them out.
Unfortunately, I haven’t gotten rid of all of them.
In a few cases, those renegade presidents and their men got on the wrong side of others and were removed.
I can’t say that we cried over it.” Lion had a speculative stare.
No response from any of the men on our side indicated they had anything to do with it.
“If what you say is true, that’s good to hear.
We don’t believe in that abomination, either.
Now, where does it leave us with Killer and those following him?
We don’t know if his entire chapter is involved.
I won’t spend my life looking over my shoulder or worried that I can’t let my old lady step outside our compound for fear of her being snatched by that fucker, Killer.
He and some of his guys showed up in Eatonton earlier, trying to scare people today while we were there.
They set off firecrackers, then ran when they saw you and your guys.
Your timing was almost too good to be true,” Wrath stated.
“It was quite the coincidence. Give us seventy-two hours. It’ll be resolved one way or another,” Lion said.
“Do I have your word on that? Because if not, we’ll deal with him,” Wrath warned.
“You do. I’ll be in contact.”
Lion and his guys rose to their feet. They shook hands before they were escorted out. I wondered if Lion could be trusted. Time would tell. Until then, we had something else to deal with. I needed to know where my dad was and what his issue was.
