Chapter Five #4

I lifted until only the head remained inside me, then held still.

Titus’s fingers tightened on my hip. “Please ride me.”

The words sent a fresh rush of wetness around him.

“Again.”

“Please don’t stop, Shay.”

I sank down hard.

His groan broke across the office.

I drove down faster, taking every deep stroke while his thumb worked my clit. Pleasure gathered until I couldn’t hold the rhythm cleanly.

Titus kept the pressure steady. “Come on my cock.”

I gripped his shoulders.

“Right there,” I said. “Keep touching me.”

“I’m not stopping.”

The second orgasm tore through me. I cried out as my pussy clenched around him in rapid pulses. Titus held me through it, his cock buried deep and his thumb still moving until I caught his wrist.

“Enough.”

He stopped immediately.

I rested my forehead against his until my breathing evened.

His chest heaved beneath mine.

“Your turn,” I whispered.

I started moving again.

His hands gripped my ass. “Shay, I’m close.”

“I can feel it.”

I kept moving, hard and fast. His breathing turned ragged.

“Please,” he said. “Keep going.”

I did.

Titus thrust up to meet me twice, then came with a broken groan. His hips pressed tight to mine while his cock pulsed deep inside.

I wrapped my arms around his neck and stayed there until his breathing slowed.

Titus kissed my shoulder. “Satisfied?”

“Very.”

“Good.”

I leaned back enough to see his face. “You begged.”

“You cheated.”

“I followed the written requirements.”

“You wrote them.”

“That’s why they were so well designed.”

His chest shook beneath mine when he laughed.

Titus helped me stand when he softened. He reached into the bottom desk drawer for a clean towel, and I raised an eyebrow.

“You keep towels everywhere.”

“I plan ahead.”

“You’re becoming predictable.”

“I can live with that.”

He cleaned me gently, then himself. I pulled on my underwear, bra, and dress, leaving my socks and boots beside the desk.

Titus unlocked the office door, and I used the women’s restroom in the empty hall.

When I returned clean and still barefoot, Titus stood in jeans with his shirt still open, holding two unopened bottles of water from a case beside the filing cabinet.

I drank half of mine while he finished dressing. Then he retrieved my socks and boots and set them in front of me.

I sat on the edge of the desk to put them on.

“Number eight,” I said.

Titus settled his hat on his head. “You absolutely shouldn’t have sex in your father’s enemy’s bar?”

“Not according to several generations of Luttrells.”

“What do you think?”

I stood and smoothed the skirt over my hips. “I think I want to do it again someday.”

His expression warmed. “The office or me?”

“You’re fishing.”

“I’m asking.”

“You.” I stepped close and rested my palms on his chest. “This isn’t only the list for me anymore.”

“It isn’t for me either.”

“I don’t want to hide you.”

Titus studied my face. “What does that mean?”

“It means tomorrow I’m telling Daddy about the bungalow and that I’m leaving the office. I’m telling him I’m seeing you because I want to.”

“You don’t have to do all of that at once.”

“I know.” I smiled faintly. “I’ve decided to anyway.”

“What if he tells you no?”

“He isn’t deciding.”

Titus touched the beauty mark near my cheek with one fingertip. “What do you need from me?”

“Stand beside me if he comes to the bungalow. Don’t argue for me. Don’t let him turn it into the feud.”

“I can do that.”

“Thank you.”

He bent and kissed me, slow and gentle.

When he pulled back, his forehead rested against mine. “Come to the ranch.”

“I packed work clothes this morning.”

“That sounds like a yes.”

“It is.”

We carried our water bottles back to the barroom. Titus finished the remaining closing tasks while I waited near the front door. He turned off the last lights, unlocked the door long enough for us to step onto the porch, then secured it behind him.

The night had gone quiet beyond the gravel lot. Warm air moved through the live oaks, and the bar’s sign cast a narrow shadow across the porch boards.

“My truck first,” Titus said. “You follow me.”

“I know the road.”

He touched my cheek. “Drive safe.”

“You too.”

We crossed to our separate vehicles.

Titus’s taillights stayed ahead of me all the way out of town. When we reached the ranch, the entrance gate stood open again.

I laughed alone in my SUV and drove through without stopping.

Titus waited beside the house and took my tote.

Inside, I left my boots beside the bed, changed out of my dress and bra, and washed my face while Titus changed. We climbed into bed without turning on anything brighter than the bedside lamp.

He drew me against his chest.

“Still sure about tomorrow?” he asked.

“Yes.”

“Then get some sleep.”

“I’m excellent at following instructions.”

Titus kissed the top of my head. “That hasn’t been my experience.”

I set the alarm for six, put my phone facedown, and settled against him.

Tomorrow, Daddy would learn the bungalow was mine, I was leaving his office, and I intended to keep seeing Titus Calhoun.

He’d survived one chamber breakfast without me. He could survive that too.
